I am questioning the allegations levelled against the guy. what was the Pak govt (or the dictator) doing for 15 years when this guy has already served 15 years of jail term? When did he commit the crime? Why wait for 15 years before punishing him?
IF u read the stories in press, looks like the 2 countries are quietly exchanging prisoners, keeping this as a pretext. And now, some jehadis from Pak want some militant in India released. Get the picture? The guy is not a culprit. More likely, he is a scapegoat.

[There is one other element of this story that everyone seems to ignore. Did Manjeet Singh, whether or not he was Sarabjit, indeed blow up bombs and killed innocent people? Was he an agent of the Indian government?]

incitement to violence is predicated on authority and foreknowledge...if this guy knew the shiv sainiks would read this and actually go out and do something, it`s incitement...if he had some authority in the ss and knew what the reaction of the ssers to his speech would be, it`s incitement...

good luck trying to get a conviction on that....

oh yes...before 9/11, pakis were all jihaaad, kashmir banega pakistan, jihadis zindabad etc etc...

post 9/11, they`re all visa moderates...moderates only because their visa depends on it....most won`t be caught dead admiting they support(ed) the jihadis....it`s like our parents telling us how bell-bottoms were the in thing when they were in college but they personally never wore them(sure...)...

At this point of time, yes - that will work.... I was talking about pre-911 situation:1989-2001, the high days of paki-sponsored jihad....Indians were sitting ducks getting killed in thousands, yet the state could do nothing to eliminate or abate jihad at its source....All that state could do was rear-guard action.

India survived jihad by default... not by design. If 9/11 had not happened jihad would still go on.... I know that`s already history, but the lesson has not been learnt.

Yes, India is governed by a constitution which stipulates protection for Indians from jihad or other foreign aggressions. Which means India has to do whatever it has to do to make sure paki-sponosored jihad is halted. If that involves covert operation in which paki by-standers were killed, well - that`s just collateral damage.

Innocent Pakis? Well - jihad collection boxes have been gathering One Billion US$ a year [ WSJ number].... A billion dollar a year - that`s what paki masses have perosnally donated to kill hinuds in jihad...Innocent Pakis? Really?
