Lets say, your neighbour has reared a nasty dog. One fine day, this dog bites you real hard in your own yard because of which you get stiches. In the evening your neighbour comes to your house and apologies. You forgive the dog.

Next week, the dog once again bites you, because of which you have to get stiches and antibiotics. your neighbour once again apologizes but at the same time leaves leaves the dog free to come into your yard.

One more week and the dog is yet again in your yard and bites you real hard....

what are you going to do. just accept your neighbours deepest sympathies, time and again or get a rifle and kill that beeeyatch wherever you find it.

The truth is that your scenario does not apply to any of us on this chowk. Personally, I do not represent Pakistan or any other country in this world. Heck, I don`t even represent my own city where I live in.

the scenario does exist. or else none of us would be on chowk discussing matters/topics from india/pakistan. i am not be personally there but my family, relatives are. even romair who is in canada is as much pakistani at heart as i am indian.

this example was to give you an idea of the situation and how ridiculous it is for pak to assume that it has no responsibility for its action, even though indirect ones.

even if you are not a representative of pakistan, i hope you see the logic in calling a spade a spade. unless it is done, the jihadi machine will claim more innocent lives.

If it is any comfort, I am already on that list. You dont have to do much to get on the list. You stay off that list as long as you hate being a Hindu and view Indian history from a Muslim perspective only, as soon as you start taking any pride in Pre-Islamic India, you enter that list, regardless of how much you hate saffron brigade. Some people are willing to put even Amartya Sen on that list despite his life long fight against hindu bigots for the same reason.

As my being in Canada, with Internet, I don`t think it makes much differences these days whether you are in Chandigarh or Ottawa.

I have no doubt that the US ``persuasion`` played a significant role in that decision. Re. Shias, I thought you would know that Shia-Sunni politics plays a prominent role in some constituencies in U.P, especially Lucknow. Hindvi should be able to confirm this. There was a history of Shia-Sunni trouble during Moharram, which was, ironically, ironed out by the BJP which, I believe, does secure a small percentage of Muslim votes in Lucknow of the personal popularity of Atal Vajpayee.

You seem to have a very keen interest in and knowledge of Indian politics for somebody in Canada. Did your work involve you with the governments and politics there?
