29 Thanks hamid saab.

I am in a hurry, only a few days on chowk, and I do have to give the hungry chowkies my world view and a little bit of good old paki-bashing.

But the fact remains that the world is changing too fast for the pakistanis. I do hope that the importance of the return of all the londion bombers to pakistan will not be lost to teh world media and the terrorism analysts.

By the way, there is a news item today that a US helicopter in POK has been fired on. I do expect more attacks, all looks good for pakistan.

Tahmed32 finds a sturdy desk and hides under it.

mannyd: actually, i got better things to do than waste time with empty vessels on chowk. (knowing you, you probably think you actually will get a Vikram Chakar or whatever it is you get for shooting breeze on chowk).``

IS #32 the better thing you had in mind Yoda?

``The female poster Tahmed 32 refers to is Zeena, the most foul mouthed, idiotic barely literate poster on Chowk. Her work needs to be collected and posted up here on FP for the future idiots to follow and refer to. All I said to her was `Same to you` after she wished death and destruction on me and my female relatives. Not once the prophet of decency, protector of female virtue Tahmed 32 opened his mouth to advise his protege.``

Did you Prophet Tahmed32 advise Zeena to abstain ever? You want her handiwork on this page here to prove my charges against her?

Wrath of gods or wrath of the world,

Every one in pakistan is complaining that there is not much releif supplies in pakistan. One version is that it is the wrath of gods for mushy dealing with the hindus and the jews, the first fpormal meeting with israel. So pakistanis deserve it. No doubt the above could be true. To reverse that pakistan has to be more jihadic, opemn more mdrasas, sent more to london, erect a monument for Tanweer, a larger one than that built now by the laskers.

There is a more practical alternate. Pakistan is already a jihadic state, any money that is not channelled through the IMF system will definitely go to the jihadis controlling pakistan. Hence there are meetings and pledges of support, no money is handed over and all will be adjusted against promised other funding for pakistan.

Only way t improve the situation is for pakistan to close down the madrassas, shut down the jihadis and demolish Tanweer memorial.

Poor tahmed, godots and the other educated pakistanis are in a fix, the same emperical event, opposite solutions to address it.

let god shower mercy on godot and tahmed.

A nation and its president,

Pakistanis are proud people, they are proud that they have the islamic bomb.

Their president ordered the removal of passport from an ordinary woman in pakistan, raped according to teh hoodood laws of pakistan. President intervened, there was a trial, several were sentenced to death, un-heard of in pakistan, and probably a sentence ordered by the president. The higher court, teh sheria court has set aside the sentences.

Now the porr president had to order the passp[ort back to the rape vicitim, because ythe ex-president of USA is planning to give an award to her.

President of the most powerful islamic country in the world could not deny passport to its own citizen. Why, there are no laws in pakistan, it is a failed stste. A trgedy for the educated of pakistan, for the tahmeds. Godot, take it from me, this post is not about hatred, it is about you to support change in pakistan.

Chowk “Walleh” many thanks for interacting.

Dear Salim Chauhan you sound like a well-travelled and seasoned interactor. I read with interest your encouraging comments and do poignantly agree with bringing “rotten apples” to justice. Unfortunately slanderous generalisations and mud-slinging have once more caught the better of politicians and Chowk interactors alike. Salim siz Turkiye de yasadiniz mi? Salim bey, Turkiye de hangi shehir de yashadiniz ?

Dr Lokraj you pose a pertinent question regarding normalization in the region: the evident answer that springs to mind are the usual culprits, the likes of Jamaat-e-Islami, the RSS, the saffron brigades benefiting from the status quo and the military industrial complex reaping huge expediency from broad expense allowances due to augmenting defence budgets. The question is, Dr Lokraj can the nuclear neighbours, long mired in a bloody territorial dispute, resolve their differences before it is too late?

Jay, everyone is entitled to the freedom of thought, yet mocking an earthquake that has killed circa 100,000 hardly seems befitting to an ethical conscience like yours. This article is not about vomiting nationalistic fervour, but about New Delhi and her grief, along with what investigative measures can be taken to alleviate the debacle.

HP many thanks for the comprehensive answer, glad to hear that Rajiv and his parents are hail and hearty. What was meant by the paragraph in question is that people on both sides of the border, are quick at pointing the accusatory finger and latch onto simplistic conspiracy theories regarding the bombings trying to stir up political angst to further their own agendas.

Ahhh Hamid M...... my most coveted fan! Welcome! Tis a great pleasure yet again to witness thy pearls of wisdom. Glad to see you are now handing out the Oscars. Sorry to hear about your experiences in the eight grade. How are the exam preparations coming along? Ready to take on that audacious teacher ? Good luck with the exams. Sincerely hope you make it to the 9th.

T Ahmed, speaking of handing out Oscars, it is heartening to see that you have nominated Yoda and your revered Jedi Master, the inimitable Hamid M. Yet even after all those years of training Jedi the laggard trailed behind Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke in the common-sense stakes. Anyways hope all is well with you.

Soysauce, adding a bit of bitter to the dish eh? Your stirring is constructive. Do however appreciate that everyone has their own style of writing.

Jang I do value you’re your brevity and succinctness.

Having been in uniform myself, I say this with a heavy heart. Why have things come to this? In 1971 wherever we went people greeted us, waved at us, gave us food and offered help. Helping the army was considered a privilege and even when Dhaka fell and our eastern command laid down its arms, they didn’t blame us soldiers, they said we had been stabbed in the back. People held Yahya Khan and his coterie (and their serious tippling) responsible for th``e debacle, not the army as a whole. It all seems so long ago.``

The above is quote from Ayaz Amir. Poor Ayaz, take it from me Ayaz, your version of the army is long gone, the present one is a jihadic army, the troops are indoctrinated with jihad, that is why they cannot help pakistanis in troubnle, but they killed the indian troops captured in Kargill by slitting their throats, true jihadic style, per the book.

Ayaz, learn from evidence, look and learn

Ozer, 38,

truth is supreme, pretences of sympathy and considerations in hiding teh reality of pak involvement and the world view of pakistan will not help any one.

Politeness is a minor virtue that should not be allowed to stofle the truth.

jay: I have been monitoring your performance on chowk, and am sorry to say that you are definitely slowing down with age. hamidm told you that this was the wrong board for you, that we were discussing english grammar here, and you paid no attention to his friendly advice. and now you we have this new indian employee - mannyd we call him - trying to take over your job!! look at the effort he puts into his job. follows me around on chowk like a faithful dog, sparing no effort in trying to out-compete you. clearly he badly wants your job. if it wasnt for my speaking out on your behalf, there is no question chowk staff would have let you go by now. and look at arjun - he has definitely fallen into a rut!! What`s the problem with you aging hindutvas?? dont get enough heeng??

something has got to change !

........... the bromidic remarks being repeated, day in and day out, by the plebian interlocuters on this chimerically comical forum are maddingly middling, and are painfully painful to the acute sensibilities of most sensible people, even when those who have apparently lost control of their senses as they enter the flickering twilight of their life when the candle that they burned at both ends in their exhuberant youth is beginning to die out and as some youthful yeomen cheer them on and try to emulate their ebullient effervescence which, in the long run, is going to be a detriment to improving indo-pak relations .................

........ that was for ozer ..........

............for the rest of us, what i am trying to say is that this daily rhetoric is getting old ........ the horrible hindoos (i need to come up with a new epithet, this is getting old too) accuse the paki converts of being circumcised, supporting terrorism and hadood laws, raping and pillaging for the last ten centuries, not having enough chemist shops, cross border terrorism (as opposed to in-border terrorism), not having enough help desk engineers, more terrorism, killing bengalis and biharis and other ethnic groups starting with the second letter in the alphabet, not having a railway stationin in lahore, collecting funds for jihad and other charitable causes, changing their names and denyng their hindoo roots, killing shias, allowing mantolives to live, worshiping jinnah instead of gandhi, yet more terrorism, denying mukhtar mai a visa, supporting honor killings and abandoning the practice of sati, not eating enough heeng and, once again, not having enough chemist shops .................

...... the pathetic pakis (another hackneyed term that needs to go) happily accuse the indians of wearing dhotis, eating heeng, burning brides and being butt ugly ........

........personally, i see merit in only two of those charges : not having enough chemist shops and being butt-ugly ............ the rest, as they say, is all politics .............

Re: # 45

while we are at it and commenting on the bromides spread across this board

its: maddeningly not maddingly
its: bromides - nothing like bromidic
its: acute sensibilities of most sensitive people not acute sensibilities of most sensible people
its: candle and burn out and flame and die not candle and die (a common misconception amongst most of us desis)

though I agree with your last line on the lack of chemists shops and decent pharmacists
