You are definitely right about the provocations and recriminations. Yet this level of brazen sexual filth and racism is a new achievement.
Even Ali_1 (and RSaxena) in their heyday never sunk so low. There was a certain touch of class about them.

[Thank you for your kind words and an affirmation of my good intentions.I never realized that I was such a source of strength to so many people like Atif2, Romair, and others. Believe me, I agree with your contention that the silent majority are the cover used by extremists for their causes - they hide, plan, recruit, obtain funds, disappear, and grow in the safety and numbers provided by all of us. It`s true for terrorists jihadis, for extremist Jews, for RSS type Hindus, for Crusading Christians, as it was true for the Communist guerillas of years gone by. ]
Salim Bhai,
This is the problem. You cannot cure a disease unless the disease is recognized.
This thing about we all being equally good/bad, everyone to be blamed equally, etc. logic is the stuff liberals love to spread around. But it`s not true. Otherwise you could have added the KKK and the Nazi Party to the list.
Take this ``all religions are the same`` theory. As far as theology is concerned, you can cite the equality theory as much as you want - I don`t care if you think that the world began 5000 years ago or a few billion. I really don`t care. You could say that the Koran and the bible are both filled with hateful words - maybe, but unquestionably, the personal examples set by Jesus and Mohammed differ by an inordinate amount, to say the very least. And the personal example of the Jews who had been a very meek and timid people who were treated badly everywhere they went (except India, of course) does not have much that is negative in it, regardless of Yahweh.
I wonder how you would have justified the Muslims` actions in India for the centuries BEFORE the RSS was even formed. I guess you would have explained the centuries of oppression, torture and bloodshed with the usual - oh THOSE things used to happen everywhere - excuse.
Do this as an exercise - read some history books. Not the Pakistani ones. If you actually do, you will find that there are indeed parallels to the atrocities committed by the Muslims - but they are all by household names like Hitler and Stalin.
And the RSS. List out on one side the killings and bombings they have committed, and on the other side what the Muslim terrorists have done and are doing. If you think they are quite similar in scope, post it for me. I would be genuinely interested to see the comparison. And leave out the Godhra riots, because then you have to include the causal incident of men, women and children (returning from a RSS or VHP meeting) trapped and burned in the train.
You know, you will find that in every country where Muslims are living side-by-side with people of another religion - there is trouble. Whether it is America, UK, France, Russia, Israel, Belgium, Sweden, North Africa, China, Myanmar, Indonesia. The West has been insulated from the Muslims for a long time. The places where they came into side-by-side contact with them - there the Europeans are deeply alienated - Yugoslavia, Greece, Armenia. Because of this, and because of realities like the Cold War and Gulf Oil, the West has ignored all of this upto now. But now, as the Muslim immigrant population grows worldwide, a new consciousness is forming all across the western world. I used to know an Indonesian Christian. WHen I asked him about the Muslims in his country, he said - oh we have very good relations etc. But once he mentioned he wants to retire in Bali. I asked him why - he said that because it`s hindu majority, and he would feel ``more relaxed``.
This is the thing, Salim Bhai. This is the problem. The so called ``Muslim pressure`` that one of the Pakistanis on Chowk so proudly mentioned. It is not possible to get used to it, and slowly but surely, the weaker ones in the minority non-muslim community succumb.
You might think in a country like America, Muslims are different. Nope. The rot is setting in. I was reading about a Q&A session at an Americal Council of Muslims (or some similar beehive of Terrorism) where someone asked - should a Muslim be friends with a non-Muslim. The answer was of course, in the negative, but even I was shocked at the words used.
You may have good intentions, but you are blind as well. Either that, or you are the Trojan horse for the Urstruly types.

BY THE WAY - THIS GUY IS NOT ZOROASTRIAN, BUT A FUNDAMENTALIST ISLAMIST.
You guys like to talk a whole lot. But in action, you guys ALWAYS lose. To India, to Israel, to EVERYBODY. Whether you personally can stand up to any kind of confrontation with any Indian remains to be seen. But what is definite is that your brethren are running back daily across the LOC with Indian Army brand broom handles stuck in their rear.
Heh heh heh....

#845 Salim Sahib: When you are right, you are right. I need to tone down the rhetoric.
No killing was advocated.
I always get confused between Kafirs and kaffirs.
No need to use five words when one will do.
Ganna juice was never offered for a drink.
So with your suggestions, the above line should be:
``Ban all Indians and Pakistanis, who can not sing the New Pakistani anthem from entering Chowk.``
How is that?
By the way you are in top form in some of your posts. Only a Rajput with fair Turkish genes can stand up to lynch mob of nationalists.
Queen_cut$paste: There were two jewish families in Afghanistan under the Taliban and they did not talk to each other. Religion mixed with temple politics can make a strange brew. My apologies to you for irreverence shown to Mazda.
Have a nice weekend Behram Sahib. If you just wanted to be called Sahib, try this as a ncik: B_Sahib.
Pardesi Sahib: In the good old days, everyone came down like a ton of bricks on people using obscenity in English or Punjabi and straightened them out. The young folks these days get too volatile too quickly.

kaalchakra: you are a fine poster, sir. but your ``patriotic`` (``spiteful``, is actually the correct term for them) countrymen who have been using chowk to demonstrate their criminal mindsets had it coming a long time ago.
behram has been here for years and i dont recall his posts being anything but friendly and interesting. After all these years, he simply decided enough was enough and to give these indian thugs a taste of their own medicine.

Congratulations Ferzana. Nice to see a familiar name as chowk editor, rather than some faceless ``chowk staff``!!

In all these years of Chowk`s existence, never has another discussion on front page turned so vile as this one.

``We encourage all to participate in discussions. All we ask you to be is civil. If your post includes words or masked references that are offensive, crude, repugnant, or obscene, your post will be duly deleted. We thank you for your participation``
Obviously chowk`s perception of ``offensive, crude, repugnant, or obscene`` differs from mine. If this is an attempt to increase the number of hits and interacts then it is an ill-concieved one. Had the guidelines been strictly applied here not only would the read count have been smaller but the discussion more relevant to the topic. If these sad posts constitute patriotism then I am no patriot.

#839 mannyd G, Sat sri akal.
This board has gone crazy. Hopefully people will get over this hateful and illogical give and take in order to have some meaningful discussion. I guess those good old days (5-6 years back) are gone.
Best regards.

no way. he is a prat, and a mentally deranged one at that.
Otherwise who in their right minds would start dropping names, and issuing threats here.
Remember the steamed professor did that with you, and it was laughable. She had a better grounds for those threats, yet it came to nought. This guy doesnot know his arse from his elbow.
