Ummm...classic sour grapes....

BTW...there is no talk of Paki cuisine in the west...the western world doesn`t know WTF paki cuisine is....the only ``talk`` of paki cuisine is baboo`s failed paki restaurant in Seinfeld...

If western opinion doesn`t matter, why is Pakiland spending money to put ads in the NYT online edition to improve it`s image...

There is a big problem or chasm most pakistanis face and will continue to face - despite the best efforts of the likes of Mantolives, HP, Romair, and the association of Pakistani Professionals and the great man Mushy at brushing up (or shall I say air brushing) Pakistan`s image. The problem is that Pakistan cannot decide what it is: Is it an Arab Nation with no roots in India or Is it a branch/Part of the Indian civilisation?
Most Pakistanis are realising that being a part of the Arab civilisation is a non-starter since the Arabs call them Hindus (go to the mid-east and see for yourself), while at the same time they are jealous of the Indians steeling a march on them and occasionally steeling their clothes like the fact Nusrat came into his riches only after the Indians took him as their own, and the fat bloke Sami is Indian now. Accepting the fact that being a part of the Indian Civilisation, they feel negates the basis for their creation. Really this is a misconception - European Civilisation is one despite the French being different from the Germans.

It is a schizophrenic life of the pakistanis that is giving them the headache. Till they sort it out...this cycle will continue and reflect itself in many other ways - like for example the title of this article - IT IS REALLY PATHETIC. For god sakes calling it a Black and White Pakistan, or a lawful and renegade pakistan would have captured the intentions better.

On the whole, Pakistan has missed out on a lot by rejecting that it is a part of the Indian Civilisation, and thinking that the Arabs and other assorted semi-civilised lot will accept them. They, Pakistanis, are more acceptable to the Bangladeshis - whom the butchered and still consider semi-human, then by the camel riding tribesmen of the arab deserts.

Thank you Saima Shah for such an eye opening article,..I used to be a strong supporter of brown Pakistan,..but after seeing the social justice and equality in the Western world ,..I now believe that we have been defrauded in 1947,..we have been deceived by brown sahibs,..and now we are eternally trapped,..
My family belonged to lower middle class,....they were `` sufed posh`` white collared ,..knowledge loving people,....my grand father rebelled against the ugly union of feudals and Mullahs,...White man came to his rescue,...British Imperialism broke the back of Indian feudalism,..and due to British Indian reforms and educational policies,... upward mobility of my family became possible,...

Prior to my birth two brothers died due to unscientific ``mid-wifery`` practices,..I was born in a women and children `` zanana hospital`` built by Britishers,..I was educated in the public school which was opened by Britishers ,...they opened it for general public....

I noticed in front of my eyes that how, those wonderful, inherited institutions of Pakistan,...got destroyed and looted,..and how rules got broken,..and how ``might is right`` way of life is enforced again,....

We inherited from Britishers, an orderly infrastructure,..we inherited libraries teaming with all kind of books,, building codes,..conservation manuals,...bye-laws,....etc..etc...

Those libraries and that system has been destroyed intentionally,..and Palazas got built by so called elite and influential people,.. on the lands of Parks and libraries,...and books which were placed in our few ``show piece kind of libraries `` are like `` what will happen to us after death``...`` jub hum Spain mein thay...``.....``Islami dunya versus non believers``....``hell for non believers``....etc..etc...

Along with Plazas of MNA`s , Nazims and Army generals and kernels,...mosques and Madrassahs sprouted every where,...mostly on government lands,....green belts,...lawns of PWD and MES offices,..Forest depeartment etc...

Much has been said about the present rotten condition of Indian and Pakistani massess,..but I believe that our salvation is only possible,... if we get rid of this sick and hypocritical way of Mullah/pundit mentality and bring those Professional and dedicated Britishers back ,..and hand over these offices,back to them..

In the recent earth quake ,..!7,000 school children died in extremelly sub-standard government buildings,.. buildings built by Britishers are still standing,...why....????Brown Engineers got bribes,...Brown conservators allowed clear cutting of state forests,..and thousands of Villas and Palaces of Pakistan belong to Executive Engineers of Brown Pakistan,...

I have noticed that ,..despite short comings ,..White Master is honest ,...and it is hard to buy him through bribe,.... Just bring them as Executive Engineers,..and Conservators of forests ,..and then see how our infrastructure , forests and wild life flourishes again,...

Brown Masters will not like it,..and they will use their pet Mullahs to attack White Masters,...but we have to get rid of this perpetual cycle of deception and hypocricy,...we are Muslims,..but we want Science , honesty and professionalism also,...may Allah save us from stinking Brown masters,...

Music is one field where religion does not seem to matter. I have heard Md Rafi`s song ``man tadapat hari darshan ko aaj``, a bhajan that is famous even today among hindus. It was written by Shakil Badyuni, music rendered by Naushad and sung by Md Rafi, all muslims.
When Nusrat Fateh Ali visited Ajmer, he sung for a good 2 hours sufi music in praise of Krishna and held the audience spellbound.
That is the power of music. It transcends religion. May be there is something for all of us to learn here.

i dont know if its white or black, but pakis seem to have a mal-e-ghanimat attitude when it comes to indian women.. as noticed in HPs posting about how indian women throw them at him and more recently in a respectul post #102 .

is it only these specific posters or is it something more of a cultural thing?
