Re: # 24

Mr.Arjun....... You have lost control of your mind. Pakistan may not be democracy by your standard but world feels its largest muslim democracy along with modern and enlightened president , little authorative admitted still perfect democracy like England has king still its democracy.

India is not democracy but little farce. The primeminister, homeminister were defeated in
election and both can not vote , is it strange or normal democracy. Democracy is not flourishing in India but is stinking and avergae man and woman is starving for food and real democracy. Men and women are underweight, light weight. As our race is same kind of hybrid so all should be big but lack food, fruits and lack of house is keeping man down.

Presidential election in Pakistan was not best as there was no opponent but once got elected he has followed judges. Then national and state elections were too restrictive ( you are disqualified if no bloody college degree) but still democratic as there was competition. Atleast our PM is elected yours is not. What is theocracy? people are religious and vevot muslims and they vote what big problem?

You need to improve your attitude about IRP ( Islamic republics of pakistan). You magnify problems of pakistan and you reverse telescope for indian problems and declare victory. You have attitude but its bad attitude is problem means big problem. There is no Pakiland but IRP, you can say pakistan, pk or IRP but you attitude to be hostile makes you to say derogatery words. if you become truthful , repent hatewrite then you can be reasoable. Unfortunately you are fed on fascistic Indian muvies and songs and intolerance and ingratitude. This pakistani papers allows you to dish good stuff but you always open with hate mail, like paki, Pakiland. This creates hatred on otherside and generate hostile and reactive stupid response and degenerative chain reaction . You can use computer skills for posting good pictures from india but your hyperactive chop paste axe is big problem.
I do not think your english is bright. My is not good as grammer and spelling is little problem but otherwise is fine. here stock exchange crossed 9000, I did not hear your cut paste axe working.
Softwere engineers are snob and feel they are tech people. The are not tech people, just bunch of people helping some big boss. Microsoft get in trouble all indians will be fired by Bill Gates, 35%, not white managerial type people. They will employ cheap chinese ,over 150 million extra labour is crossing to softwere in China. These end indian problem in IT sector. Now nice arabian boys and girls are getting good education in europe, america, england and china and all overworld , when these bright educated young men and women return Indians will have to return back. Any way change attitude then people. chowki will like you.

Also cultural aspect is important. You always come with bad news and with disrespect to elders and younger people and women. In our country we teach here people to respect all people. We say yes sir, etc. If indian parents just whip their children so they become respectful of elders we will have no problem like arjun attitude. Anyway I do not think no point in putting sugar ( good moral thoughts) in poison is ging to make it halva.
bye do not cut and paste.

What the heck is ``popular role models``? When did people start looking for popular role models? people need to look at role models around them even if they are not very popular. It could be your father or mother or grand parents or uncles or aunts. But looking for role model on tv or movie is idiotic. This quest of popular role models is nothing but running after a mirage.
``diet of angry God stories`` does not come only from tv but also from priest.
The jurasic age started atleast 210 million years ago and lasted or 70 million years.
The author waste lot of bandwidth quoting natural calamities.
Junaid Jamshed might be simplifing the reasons for earth quake but role models in your house can very easily correct it.

Mr. Asadi

Jesus` beautiful words are a timeless guide when one is confronted by people who insist on the supposed similarity and goodness of all religions.

``Mother, forgive those who know not what they say. And dear Mother, forgive those who dare not say what they know.....``

Most of these ``all-religions-are-the-same`` and ``there-is-good-and-bad-everywhere`` gentlemen and ladies are wonderful and noble folks. What one wouldn`t, unfortunately, rely on them for is the protection of the good from the bad.

And in some cases, for telling day from night.

We aren`t discusing Ahmedis here. And what is thsi bull shit about Ahmadi perscution anyway. Count how many Ahmedis dead since `85 and rest of us how have died in the name of Shias, and Sunnis. rest assured ahmedis nothing more than triviality, asserting itself, thanks to the mulla bigots again.

I am still wondering whether all of us were non-muslims before the light of enlightenment hit us in the face through uniform of Zia Jee; for that matter were all of our purkhas and pukhis also kafirs. The neo-moslems of our degenerated society, are the worst of all evils let loose on us ignorants. One should pray juno does well in his `designer bourtiue` or is something else, so he could also bask in the glory of his wealth, and the shade of his mulla mentors leaving us poor soul, to find our own pace with our God Almighty. Just pure sickening, the man has gone stark raving mad, adding salt to the miseries. Whats gone wrong with JJ anyway.

Aisha
It has been long since i read your last article at chowk. I myself a fan of Junaid Jamshed, and listening him since early 90`s. I am disappointed by his simple explaination of the earthquake. Many people have already said a great deal about the subject, and i have no better words than them at all.

Thanks for writing good article, and i hope Junaid get a chance to read it.

Regards.

One example was Actor Dharmendra. When canvassing for his candidature to Lok Shabha( Lower house in Indian Parliament), the jerk said `` make me a dictator for five years and I will set things right for good``. Asshole didn`t even think he was fighting an election in a democratic setup.

Generally people tend to be simplistic. Either they do not have time or are incapable of looking at complexity of life. If a democratic setup fails to deliver, the first reaction of common guy is to line up the rascals and shoot them in a public square. Countless dictatorships have failed but again the only answer they seek is another one. It doesn’t appear to them that it is easy to shoot but to identify crooks from innocents is a very complex process.

I heard JJ has now switched to selling female designer wear in his boutiques (JJ). Male brands were always going to be far far less profitable.

When a Pakistani jihadi kills another or gets killed himself, it is taken as given who God sent to heaven as shaheed and who God didn`t. No one has objected to that characterisation in 25 years. Has anyone dared come on Pakistani TV and stated that armed jihad by Pakistanis has nothing to do with who God will send to heaven ? No.

When thousands of women are sent to jail for being raped, the concept that it is God`s law is allowed to prevail. No one has objected to that characterisation in 25 years in any meaningful way. Has anyone come on Pakistani TV and stated that Islamic laws of a state have nothing to do with God`s will? No.

Now when God`s will is mentioned after a natural calamity, people have objections immediately. Why? Why does mother nature have less standing than Pakistanis` politico-religious choices as interpretions of God`s will?

arjun mian,

................unfortunately urstruly`s post is not that simple - it is an insidious commercial for jihadi organizations ........ it is a sanctimonious piece of garbage that extolls the virtues of murderous terrorists providing relief to the earthquake victims.......... the story starts out with a fruit and vegetable trader who makes 35 crore a year bringing in a bag and dumping a crore rupees on a table .......... i am sure some of this money will be used to kill horrible hindoos, blow up ahmedi and shia mosques, and kill innocent civilians .............

............... and can you believe that urstruly is running his marketing campaign out of michael moore`s home town .................

Mrs Manto:

Give it up already...Pakiland is a theocracy and in a theocracy, the ground shook because allah`s pissed off is probably believable to a lot more people the whole tectonic plate thingy.....in a way, Pakiland is a theocratic democracy...the majority of paki don`t think ahmedis are muslims...so you`re not..and the law states that you can`t call your place of worship a mosque..

I assume the translation of the urdu column boils down to ``Allah`s really really pissed off``?

Saw JJ on GEO after a number of years and was shocked.

The VOLUNTARY religious awakening in anyone is alright by me. Its the ``my religious

beliefs down your throat`` approach which is the problem.

I wonder if JJ will ever comment on the Blasphemy Laws in Pakistan?
