It is disgusting and neech to evoke or call His name while indulging in henious crimes and barbarity.

Interesting and thought provoking, this article.
Though many would argue that this war is based on religion, after almost half a million bombed deaths in Iraq, why have nt the Americans let out a single war cry, ?
The reason for thinking that this war is religious, is because the Iraqis cry `allah akbar` for any revengful act.
Not to say that this war is unreligious - there are factions of muslms fighting against each other here, one faction supported by America.
But these acts do bring a bad name to the religion - some could argue, unfairly.
Certainly one expected outcome is the backlash from the media, against the religion instead of the fighters at war.

Reminds one of the ``13th Warrior.`` Has anybody seen it?

Kaura the point is whether any of your uncles rallied the troops by saying ``Allah ho Akbar``...before slashing the throat of a wsj journalist. While it might be a battle cry quite at the same level as hindus chanting ``bole so nihal..`` at a hockey match, atleast give it its due.

One of my uncles led a force in 71 in Bangladesh - though the regiment was non sikh, they rallied under ``Bole So Nihal.....``, the enemy surrendered without firing a shot. He received one of the highest orders......
During a hockey match in Chd....The Chd team played J&K team.......most of the spectators were Hindus rallying the team with ``Bole So Nihal......``
