Well; along thes ame lines, the author speaks of her life in Chicago as a student while her profile says she is a student at the University of Michigan. I know Chicago is on Lake Michigan but I don`t know there is a university in Chicago named for that lake.

AAmir, I think your reading between the lines a bit to much.
My profile is a little something about me.. it isnt me...

I am living in the US and I am happy..not because Im living here but due to other things.. family, my sig. other... to name a few..

I do however want to retreat back home after I`m done in school...
Just because I dont have 100% of everything doesn`t mean I cant be happy or content.. and because I`m content doesnt mean that there arent`t things that I would like to better..

my opinion to you.. dont just an entir person by a few lines in the profile. :)

I ll watch to morrow tuesday Pakistan vs South Africa .But its no wonder South Africa will not Win the cup b/c statistically No Host Country Has Ever won the cup in its short history.I am just happy WasimAkram was voted the most `bad boys` by the wicked witches of Woman Fan of Cricket of South Africa !!!!

I totally agree with the author. I had an experience of living abroad and then left a very good job to come back. Although life in pakistan is not a bed of roses but its much better than the soul-less life of the west

Author Salman Rushdie has reportedly split up with his girlfriend since 1999 Padma Lakshmi because he no longer found her ``intellectually challenging.``

However, model and actress Lakshmi, 32, is reported to have told her friends that she grew bored of the 55-year-old author.

But according to the Sunday Mail, Lakshmi has said that the reason for the break-up is the fact that she lives in Los Angeles, where she has a film company, while Rushdie lives in Manhattan.

A friend of Rushdie said, ``Salman is very gutted. He is very wounded and down about things and he was lonely over Christmas. They have definitely split up.``

``Salman was telling everybody that he had ended the relationship but in fact it was Padma who ended things.

She is living in Los Angeles, he is living in New York and everything is over,`` he added.

Rushdie is said to have told his friends including Nigella Lawson and Martin Amis that he ended the affair because Lakshmi was not ``intellectually challenging.``

But a friend is quoted as saying, ``Salman has been saying it was he who ended things because Padma was not intellectual enough for him. I think his exact words were that she did not challenge him enough anymore. He also said they did not spend much time together.``

``Padma was off filming in India. But they were in touch and seeing each other quite regularly. It was a case of growing apart. People who know him well are not that surprised,`` he added.

``She`s a beautiful actress who took up with a famous writer, who is now not so famous. He is not in news as he always was. She got bored of him. Its as simple as that.``

yes, and i thank him again.

if the only reason ppl can come up with is that USUALLY the nab is right abt something, and that the BURKI khaandan should get caught (NO RATIONALE FOR THIS), then i thank him ONCE more for atleast bringing this ``little`` debate out so its clear how ......naive(?). narrow-minded and petty most people are....

oh and nice to see ppl talk abt ``hanging, nuking, killing, lynching`` ... without a seconds thought to the actual meaning of the words.

I dont think you have such argument for FBI if,question you for your familiy back ground.

Burki is no ordinary khandan .I just shudder what would happen to me if i ever get underr the wrap of American FBI or DEA, or INS ,or ecven Pakistans Customs .

Burki Khandan is 10 times more powerfull than me .Me i dont even have khandan in Pakistan i am a Mohajr ,who is there for me .If my time comes i ll go .Every body has to go one day .Nuke them or not .

Its the Burkis whio havenever been slighted ,ignored or disrespectd ever who make the most noise .

When Javed was height of his career which must have been enough many years ago for him to be even wanting to live anylonger ,i am sure he never thaught he would have to beg for just as that 10yr old was wanting his autograph & he was too important to look at him.
