As per reports reaching here, on Wednesday afternoon a group of Nut community members entered into an argument with members of Kanjhard community—both Dalits—over the issue of goat grazing in Danpur Sibli village under Fatehpur Chaurasi police station of Unnao district, about 60 kilometers from this state capital.
The issue was later resolved by the village elders.
However, despite the compromise, one section managed to set their rivals’ homes ablaze. From among the dozen odd houses engulfed by flames, nearly a dozen occupants managed to run to safety and escaped with minor burns.
Later it was discovered that three women, three children and a man were roasted alive, reports reaching the state capital said.
Top officials of Lucknow Range, which covers Unnao, are camping at the site to supervise subsequent action in this regard.
An FIR has been filed naming 10 Dalits, police said adding senior officials have reached the spot.
Further details were still awaited.

The other side of the picture: No Hindu died, none of the 12 injured had to be hospitalised.

Yet they shot him.’’Allarakha is survived by his wife and a two-month-old son. Although thecommunal cauldron’s simmering, politicians don’t seem to be helpingmatters. Viramgam MLA Vajubhai Dodiya not only avoided meetingrepresentatives of the minority community, citing security reasons, butalso blamed them for fomenting trouble.‘‘Theminority community,’’ says Dodiya, ‘‘is always trying to disrupt lawand order and they are responsible for the rioting.’’ So the blame gamecontinued on Monday. Muslims of Chandfali grieved for the dead andwailed about their looted shops while Purshottam Jadhav’s wife andothers pointed accusing fingers at the Muslims. Says Savita, Jadhav’swife:‘‘TheMuslim boys deliberately threw the ball into the temple. My husbandrepeatedly warned them but they ignored him and entered the GangeshwarMahadev temple during puja. How could my husband use his gun? Itstopped working some years ago.’’ButDIG Sharma is convinced: ‘‘Jadhav fired four rounds from his .12 bore.He has admitted he abused the boys who were playing playing cricket andthis led to stone-pelting and rioting’’. Sixteen-year-old FirozSuleiman, one of the boys who saw it all happen, says: ‘‘I told mybrother to come out as Jadhavbhai was hitting us. My brother arguedwith him and Jadhav shouted loudly, calling other Hindus. They camearmed with sticks and rods.’’Police have arrested 15 Hindus, including Jadav, and 9 Muslims, among them two boys. VIRAMGAM, NOVEMBER 3: Three deaths, 37 hospitalised: that’s the price Viramgam’s Muslims living in the Chandfali and Dhadi Vaas areas paid for Sunday’s violence, sparked off when Muslim boys, while playing cricket, sent the ball flying into a temple.
The other side of the picture: No Hindu died, none of the 12 injured had to be hospitalised.

The facts make it clear which community is worse off but DIG (Ahmedabad range) A K Sharma dismisses it as a coincidence: ‘‘It is a mere coincidence that all the men killed either in police or private firing are Muslims.’’
Yet Sharma concedes that one of the three casualties — Zakir Yusuf — was killed accidentally by the police while they were trying to stamp out loot and arson. The other two, he maintains, died in private firing (implying that someone from the crowd fired).

Saw Taj Mahal as a kid , but never understood what the fuss was about that ridiculous Taj Mahal thing anyway - the only thing that intrigued me was the story that Shah Jahan had the hands severed and eyed gauged of the architect who built the monument.
Anyway , Taj and Agra represent the worst about India. I really appreciate what the Japanese Prime Minister did when during his recent India visit - he cut off Taj/Agra from the official tour itinery and visited the Infosys campus in Bangalore instead.

She dies in 1982, but the CPAE project lurches forward again, using the copies.
By 1985, Frieda`s book is largely forgotten. Then CPAE editor John Stachel hears about some early ``love letters`` in the hands of Einstein`s relatives in California. He locates Evelyn Einstein in Berkeley. She has her mother`s unpublished manuscript, but not the letters. The search leads to a safety deposit box, and a cache of 400 family letters stashed by Evelyn`s stepmother, Elizabeth Roboz Einstein. The CPAE delays publication of Volume 1, so that 51 of the love letters can be included. The book is released in 1987, and the scientific world hums with Mileva Maric`s name. The general public gets wind of the story in 1992, when the Press prints The Love Letters.
