Pakistan\'s Nuclear Test - Ten Years Later

tahmed writes "so good effort at trying to write an abuse-free post, but you are not there yet"

The standard excuse of a spineless moron. Tahmed, I don't expose your hypocrisy and immoral stance where you legitimize US barbarism and stab your own people in the back to get a response from you. They are done for the benefit of the rest of the Chowk folk who might be mislead by your happy talk about the "people" of Pakistan even as you advocate their butchering every chance you get. And, let this also be clear to them that you do not respond to my arguments because you are stumped by them, and finally on many occassions this fool has unleashed all kinds of insults on me, yet I have still busted his BS (insult or not) because unlike him I am honest in my pro-people stance...

#740 CA- go F yourself and your mama, and take that bigot in hiding GT (and that is precisely what he is regardless of his facade of being "neutral" bs)with you, those who call for the beheadings of others might find a sword close to their own necks someday, as they say what goes around comes around.....BTW nobody kicked me out a-hole, I was there just last year again delivering a lecture at one of "the first rate" schools....

nkg writes " I am from India"

Gee whiz, we could never have guessed that from your bigotry against Islam for sure, neither from your superior use of the Hindlish language, nor from you tooting the Indian/Hindu horn every opportunity you get

Viewer/Ph writes "I have one further question to anyone who likes to answer:"

Sherlock Holmes give it a goddamned rest. The bigger question you should be asking is what is the goddamned use of physics departments and PH when neither students nor professors can use such equipment to do research? Is their utility only in providing peons for Western universities so that they can do their research over there when their nationality changes? These are the questions you should be asking, even $1 spent (and more than that is spent in maintaining PH the dimwit) extra than is needed by a drowning nation is a $1 misspent, the bigger misspent dollars merely build up on this corruption of which PH is a big part.....comprendey fool? Now can you see that the purpose of this article is merely "bitching" for the purpose of axe grinding against his colleagues and to soothe his 'holier than thou' demeanor, when the sob is walking talking corruption board par excellence, who spits on the people of this nation who feed him as he sells his soul to the white man, the swine that he is

viewer writes " have now come to gradual but firm belief that the only comment you can make is to start personal attacks on the writer, instead of saying anything related to the point "

Your brain suffers from "gradual but firm" retardation. You must not have read my posts in which I expand on the physics department handout that PH has reproduced, there is nothing courages, or insightful in his piece, it is full of personal axe grinding and BS, my insult against him is based on the dozen other articles that he has written on which I have debated quite extensively, my "attack" on him merely counters factually his attack on the 160million people of Pakistan. The guy is a certified idiot and you have no clue about any of my thousands of posts and multiple articles that I have contributed on chowk....

Majumdar writes "You must read YLH's posts on this.."

What a lame response. It is one thing to consolidate and bring the opposition against colonization and quite another to use religion to break apart the anti colonial front by pitting indigeneous folk against each other like MAJ did. YLH worships the man so of course he will run around looking for excuses to hide his faults to justify his worship. The facts are quite clear not only did MAJ invoke religion to pit groups against each other, he wanted the congress to legitimize his farce and political manuvering by declaing itself a Hindu only party. As far as invoking religion to pit one against the other while benefitting the colonials and the feudals goes, MAJ was the pioneer in India before partition and his stinking legacy lives with us today as it has everytime "Islam khatray me hai" was invoked by the military and its mullah supporters who got rid of ZAB...Majumdar you're a fake...

corrupt or not, they should not tolerate this fool and give him hell, he needs a one way ticket to louisiana where the white man can employ him to pick cotton and shine his shoes, then he can tell his "boss" HEC tales.....

In addition to #23 in which I wrote "I'd like to add that Pervez Hoodbhoy is a fake and an ignoramus, and in writing this is not concerned with either the country's well being or the state of our education/corruption. He is concerned about his personal axe which he wants to grind and his anti-islam sentiment and his pro-West white worshipping attitude."

I'd like to add that this fool Pervez Hoodbhoy also suffers from a superiority complex relative to his colleagues. He thinks that he is somehow superior to them because of his wheeling and dealing with the white man and his so-called "scientific" and humanistic organizations that are part of the legitimation employed by the higher barbarians, and so he wants to talk them down as he is doing regarding the HEC and Pakistan in general. The guy is a certified sob.

nkg writes " If you are not ready to be part of a system, then stop shouting. Military can rule forever, if people does not grab slightest of the opportunities, they are provided with."

The system coopts the oppositon making it benign and growing on its carcass, it needs revamping, the best thing to do for the politicians who considered themselves voices of the people was to boycott the elections and then raise hell.........

Majumdar you're a fool, why increase employment by digging ditches when you can enhance employment while developing industrially, where the production pays for the labor and lesser profits go in the pockets of the executives? Subsidized, self paying employment. Are you out of your mind?

nkg learn your history before you claim that Britain industrialized inspite of colonization that provided it markets, and cheap resources while heavily protecting its indigeneous market from competitors and wholesale wiping out of them by polite (market) and impolite (chopping off of limbs) means- the US did the same...............

Majumdar:

(Quote)Beginning with 1st U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton's "Report on Manufactures", in which he advocated tariffs to help protect infant industries, including bounties (subsidies) derived in part from those tariffs, the United States was the leading nation opposed to "free trade" theory. Throughout the 19th century, leading statesmen of U.S. including Senator Henry Clay continued Hamilton's themes within the Whig Party under the name "American System." The opposition Democratic Party contested several elections throughout the 1830's, 1840s, and 1850's in part over the issue of the tariff and protection of industry. The Democratic Party favored moderate tariffs and the Whig's favored higher protective tariffs which won the elections of 1840 and 1848 respectively. The pre-eminent economist in the United States at this time Henry Charles Carey became the leading proponent of the "American System" of economics; it had developed in opposition to the 'free trade' system which Carey called the "British System" as was proposed by Adam Smith and advocated by the British Empire. His book "Harmony of Interests" together with German-American economist Friedrich List in his scholarly work became widely read and disseminated in America and Germany leading the German Historic School economists to embrace a similar anti-free trade approach which was embraced by Chancellor Bismarck in the late 1800s. The fledgling Republican Party led by Abraham Lincoln, who called himself a "Henry Clay tariff Whig", strongly opposed free trade and when formed the party implemented a 44 percent tariff during the Civil War in part to pay for the building of the Union-Pacific Railroad, the war effort, and to protect American industry.[3] President William McKinley stated the United States' stance under the Republican Party (who had won every election for President except the two non-consecutive terms of Grover Cleveland until 1912 maintaining Lincoln's economic principles) as thus:

"Under free trade the trader is the master and the producer the slave. Protection is but the law of nature, the law of self-preservation, of self-development, of securing the highest and best destiny of the race of man. [It is said] that protection is immoral…. Why, if protection builds up and elevates 63,000,000 [the U.S. population] of people, the influence of those 63,000,000 of people elevates the rest of the world. We cannot take a step in the pathway of progress without benefitting mankind everywhere. Well, they say, ‘Buy where you can buy the cheapest'…. Of course, that applies to labor as to everything else. Let me give you a maxim that is a thousand times better than that, and it is the protection maxim: ‘Buy where you can pay the easiest.' And that spot of earth is where labor wins its highest rewards."[4]
The tariff and support of protection to support the growth of infrastructure and industrialization of the nation became a leading tenet of the Republican Party thereafter until the Eisenhower administration and the onset of the Cold War.

In the 1930s, the US adopted the protectionist Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act which raised rates to all-time highs beyond the Lincoln levels[citation needed], which some economists believe exacerbated the Great Depression. In response the Democratic Party under Franklin D. Roosevelt resorted to Hamilton's earlier formula of Reciprocity with moderate tariffs coupled with subsidy to industry which went unbroken until the 1970s when the Free Trade era began for the United States after the Kennedy Round of trade talks in the late sixties were complete. That ensures that you will continue to make a damn fool of yourself just like the shrink and gill do with their "mass produced" articles. You buddy tahmed is as lame as ever in his response, the folk here have come to recognize him for his cowardly, spineless, clueless nature that cannot look beyond his unconditional worship of the white man and his sh**...............
