5. Pakistan state must urge all the Muslim States (Princely, I think) to adopt Islamic Constitution, finally a Federation of Islamic States.

8. Islamic States should begin an organised propaganda of the Islamic teachings......a special State machinery should be set up fot this purpose (similar to Council of Islamic Ideology).

Am I a Skeptical Muslim? Ppl with colour blindness can avoid this but ppl who see colours properly can see this map of sex ratio in India and Pakistan. Whereas chtyas like Riaz can keep talking abt something like 'Shining India' on his own (tho I never used that phrase in 3 years I am here, directly or indirectly).

The amber, orange and red districts are those where sex ratios are in the band of 877-923, 829-876 & 789-823 respectively. Most of the districts of this variety are in Pakistan and northern India, esp western UP, Haryana and Punjab & border districts of Rajasthan.

Low levels of sex ratio is invariably due to large-scale abortions avoiding the birth of girl child. This may be due to historical social customs and the economic factors linked thereto.

Making sex determination tests is a crime in India and that's a proactive step to avoid this lopsided sex ratio in northern India. We dont know what Pakistan is doing to avoid that tipping.

The sex-ratio in Pakistan (most of it is in the range of 877-923) is same as it's in some parts of northern India i.e. western UP, Punjab, Haryana & the border districts of Rajasthan.

It's a different story in rest of India. The stories of shudders, bride burning and abortion (abolished by Law) are old stories.

Sex ratio is actually favourable (near, equal or more women than men) in the whole of peninsular India with an exception of Maharastra (924-971).

In Maharastra, they do speak Marathi outside but I am not sure abt speaking ir at home.

In AP, barring Hyderbad and erstwhile Nizam dists, Muslims are bilingual. In Southern AP they speak in Telugu even @ home (a Cuddapah boy who eloped with a Kuwaiti girl needed a translator for replying to Hindi channel reporters).

In Karnataka, esp northern Karnataka they speak only in Udu as it was part of Hyd state. I am not sure of southern Karnataka.

Orissa, though a very small minority, they are bilingual. They speak accented Hindi/Urdu.

As as aside I can say with authority the Sylhatis (erstwhile Assamese) are seamlessly Bangladeshis now. There're no divisions, major or minor btw Bengali speaking and Sylhati speaking Bangladeshis. They learn each other's langauge & not jealous of each other. Moreover, Sylhatis call themselves as Bengalis. This kinda unity never came btw Sindhis and Mohajirs.
