Actually, what Jinnah wanted was muslim's pakistan, what taliban and jehadis want is muslim's world. So they are just taking his ideas a bit further, and they are just progressing in the same direction. Jinnah had his ideas of what it meant in terms of laws/constitution etc (behavior) and Taliban has its own set of things for world behavior.

And you shouldn't be surprised by any difference, Jiinah was just a few generations away from his meek hindu ancestors, the talibans are several hunderd generations from their hindu/budhdhist ancestors. And in Islam it is difficult or actually impossible to remember your past for long (mainly because it keeps an environment which hates non-muslims, so the next generation itself is quite capable of hating their grandfathers and their culture).

As long as Islam is defined the way it is defined, you do whatever you want, things will come full circle and will eventually end up at taliban mentality. There are many people who say Islam doesn't do this or doesn't do that when anything like fort-hood or 9/11 or 26/11 happens, but they are fooling themselves, they should try to understand what is it in Islam that is so good at producing this mentality for over 1000 years. Hindus have been persecuted for so long but why they have not been able to create an organization which can at least say that they will rule over world???? Simple because Hinduism doesn't give good support for this idea.

One needs to be an impure muslim to understand the difference between "avoiding filth and yet ending up in complete shit", Islam style and "accepting filth as good and as bad as everything else is in different contexts and dealing with it in proper way to avoid ending in shit�. create a simple psychology that keeps people close to being truthful (and humble, though it is a derivative of state of being able to accept truths as they are)

....in a round about way I repeat... teach kids that not much is needed from life to live happily....

teach them that Isa Vasyam stuff from Upanishads in one form or other..

If you ask these researchers if they have they ever been to Pakistan, India and Afghanistan, the unanimous answer is NO. How can you give policy prescriptions without actually meeting the patient? Even the great Dr. Gregory House sooner or later meets his patients to diagnose the illness and find a cure.

What kind of reasoning is this??? The diagnosis is done by India and Pakistan who have patients and who know the illness of terrorism and political Islam since ever. They (India/Pak) have basically become diagnostics labs for political Islam. Rest was seen by USA in 9/11 and even during the times when they spread this cancer further in order to get Soviet Union out of Afganistan.

Pakistan, the most seriously ill patient who is spreading this illness and Saudi Arabia, the place where those germs are produced are both in close alliance with USA since long time. The not so moral doctor knows this illness since ever.

Only reason they are prescribing some treatment now is that they fear they are getting hurt or that it can spread more than they initially thought or wished.

Persians, Alexandar, Mongols all invaded and conquered afganistan. History is not for people who do not want to understand or accept truth. Not for those who think truths are optional. Till south asian muslims learn to remove illusion from their history, their future will be as illusive as their history.

Political Islam in anyway won't give them anything good in the long run. It is this political Islam that got the Indian identity out of them. That needed Pakistan and that makes them ignore truths of life and world.

If pakistan would have got name India and India some other name, people would have still attributed everything to that India-with-other name.... and Pakistan would have had another identity crisis that I described in #377....

Lies simply can not be reasoned perfectly and understood.... if you start with set of false assumptions or lies and start reasoning and want to satisfy your mind in the process, you will fail all the time.... so feel happy that you can say whatever you said but in all probability your mind will bug you again.. and such false pretense of happiness is short lived........

that guy may be saying good things and though chutiyas on pakistan side of border won't mind money puring in but they won't simply allow progress in afganistan... the chutiyas on indian side are at the most enjoying their comfy sofs but chutiyas on pakistan side do hard work to keep things in mess.. anyway do give it a try at least pakistan will get some more money.... such trials and errors are what will eventually make people understand the right solution for wrong problems..
