It make me so angry when read news about NRI (Non-Resident Indian) there unity, NRI programs and Indian government special assistant to them all over the world.
They have more privilege in India then other citizens because of FDI and reemitting millions of dollar money back home. They even have NRI MNA.
I have also seen Mexican and Philippines President Personals effort for their foreign workers. Let`s take example of South African communities in Dubai how well they organized and their overseas government.
The problem of us a Pakistani we make more noise and critics of government but don`t try to give them a proper feedback. Cos we don’t have time to do that. We just talking and critic cos is an easy things which we have been doing for 50s years.
We should come up the solutions and present it on proper way to the authorities.
Regarding to the Embassy things, every embassy in the world are the part of the State, even thou they are physically in other state by the international law.
Did you guys ever went to the Saudi Consulate in Karachi, oh la la have not seen such a disgusting consulate building in my life and that time I realized the Pakistani consulate in Houston was much better then this Oil rich country.
My point is simple, We all are educated don`t ignore the problems and difficulties what we are now facing as a Pakistani overseas (NRP). Just try to communicate well. I know it`s really difficult to communicate with the government.
Been lived around the world, but found good thing in Gulf and Saudi Arabia region, they all are united with one language Arabic and become more friendly, anywhere you go for a Job/Meeting in the Saudi Arabia. The first question asked Do you speak Arabic?
That why the Lebanese, Yemeni, Philistines, Egyptian, Sudanese and Jordanian get better pay compare to the South Asian.
Why because they speak Arabic!
Here I don`t want to discuss any religion, ones` believe/ Faith, I want to tell the power of languages.
In South East Asia Hindi and Urdu are the common languages of communication between communities. I meet Nepalese, Bengalis, Burmese, Afghan, Persian, butanes and Kashmiri in United States and huge part of Africa who speak good Hindi/Urdu and prefer to communicate in Hindi/Urdu with me. Although we can communicate in English as well but Hindi/Urdu keep us linked to Asia.
To promote Hindi/Urdu in Africa we thank to Bollywood industry because of there pure Hindu/Urdu movies which have been seen by millions of African. For them Amitabh Bachcan, Shahrukh Khan, Qurbani and Piyar are not a new stuff of globalization.
If we PAKISTANI and INDIA make our spoken language so strong and give preference to whom who speak our cultural language. Same like Arabic in Middle East.
Firstly we need to break the decades old conflicts in which our Politician has been playing their Politic with their patriotic speech to the middle class and vast uneducated population.
We need to build cross border trade, Export/import SAFTA, Exchange students, Cross Culture/border Career development training, Educational/Sport competition.
Don`t you love to watch the cricket match of Karachi Dolphins with Mumbai bulls in Mumbai Stadium eating your Spicy Dusa and Limca Or watching Omar Sharef live show in Karachi Theater.
Going with Collage/university Buddies for a Train trip to India/ Pakistan and make your own Travel Reality Show.
The Main Problem is long as Indian stay in Pakistan, ISI consider Him/Her as the agent of RA or vice versa, When Pakistani come to India RA consider Him/Her as the agent of ISI or any others Laskar. In this situation who would take a risk of Travel?
Luckily been in Karachi; Mumbai and Delhi; Lahore accepts religions did not find major changes, I found chandi chowk,Somosa walla, Riksha(three wheeler). and the same www.chowk.com
Last year I met a CEO of a fortune 500 companies in NYC, was supervise that his 12 years old boy was learning Chinese mandarin and 9 years old girl learning Hindi/Urdu and He specially hired a Chinese and Hindi speaking maid for him. Do you think he is crazy?
English is now not a big deal in today`s world everyone speaks English; even a Chaparasy/Clerk in India do. Most of time when I read chowk`s article I found my self in the William Shakespeare Era, Where you guys come up with these kind strong and heavy old English words. As average an American reader who don`t understand the whole paragraph.
As our economic going to boom sooner; you will not be surprise see in Europe and America Hindi/Urdu and Chinese Conversation Institutes and Schools.
But Alas with the foreigners who will learn our language; you will find our own kids to in their classes because we now make them to speak English and be modern; I was shocked when in Riaydh one of my young cousin don`t know the basic Urdu/Hindi words meaning.
Regarding to Dogs Mr Ali when are some one willing to come KSA, I think read and sign on the paper which says that I will follow the country law and obey my master Right !
So when you are in Rome, Do as Roman does. Think Global !

TRUE story - I once hosted a guy from Saudi studying at local university. He disliked dogs soooo much and didn`t want to be around them at all - lots of the local kids got on him about it and tried to show him how loyal and wonderful dogs can be. So he started telling the following joke - why don`t Saudi`s like or buy dogs as pets? We don`t need them, we have dirty indo-asians to fill that role! HA HA HA HA - The great Ummah busted!

drakolos #12 {``Chauhan Sb,
Desi do not find themselves there, they beg borrow and steal to be there and then they complain..``}
Drak,
You are right in that perhaps I used the wrong word by saying ``Desis find themselves ...``
One could say the same for desis wanting to be in US, UK, and elsewhere. People`s economic needs should not be used as justification to mistreat them. Regardless, there is a sense of universal values and the Soodis better learn them before they find themselves in similar situations in the countries to which escape.

Shah Ji,. You make some very valid points. The guest workers in Saudi Arabia are indeed treated very poorly in and have basically zilch rights, and it is not because we are dogs, but because that country has antiquated 7th century governance system in place. Poor workers can only do so much even by organizing, the Saudi laws do not permit forming unions, and you know why (because it is written in the Quran). When only one family controls all the resources, the rest are merely circus animals (including non-royal Saudis) doing their assigned part, with King Dulla being the ringmaster.
Even prisoners at Camp Delta have more rights than the guest workers in Saudi Arabia. When I visited there, I heard some horror stories from my fellow Pakis.

Why don`t you fcukers stop going to Mecca and Medina for Hajj so that KSA gets a feel for what a boycott means?
Even better, why don`t you guys go on the Hajj and bomb those places like the Iranians tend to do?
