A correction in my post at #4:

Para 3, third line, read `did not come` for `did come`.

Sorry for the mistake.

I wonder why criticise a person who has been chosen by Allah to do all this.

It recalled to me an old anecdote:

`` Some time after the episode of Karbala a man asked a Fatwa from some Alim whether killing a mosquito was allowed in Islamic Shariah. The Alim said, `` It is pity you did come to me to ask a fatwa when you killed Imam Hussain and now you have come to me to seek a fatwa about killing of a mosquito``.

When the very Mullas of the Pakland have declared him as `Masoom` (one not liable to committing any sin) by accepting his 17th Amendment how can we criticise his writing a book during active srevice.

In fact he did reply to the point raised very forthrightly. He had replied it by a counter question, ``Had I written it after my death if not during active service``?

None has any answer to this question as there is no question of retirement in his agenda like Zia whom only God could remove from his usurpations in a very befitting manner at that.

Sleemi Bhai, Lighten up. It is just a book.

Pak army`s role in the country is pretty complex. A book is not going to change it.

As for the Nero comment, that is utterly suited for the likes of Ahmadenejat, Asad, or North Korea`s kim.

Salaams and Namaste.

Agree in toto. Pakistan army in general and Pakistani generals in particular have proved themselves nothing but a liability to the nation. They have done more damage to the country than any enemy.
