Re: # 8
Shah2...

Ans: I have nothing against any language. India is base of the best language (phonetics, grammar, variation and vocabulary), Sanskrit. Sanskrit has given us the best of the literatures (tww epics + Kalidasa, Banabhatta,...)
.Saskrit/Prakrit connects with other regional languages ( Oriya, Bengalee, Assemese, Marathi, Gujrati...). What is the need for a foreign language, for which we get no benefit at all and creates language devide. Sanskrit, in quite difficult to learn (so, people were concerned about its pureity). But to maintain quality, we need to emphasize it. Urdoo is just the distortion of North Indian dialect, which made them 3rd class humans in terms of literature....
Indians love english due to its simplicity and easy script. Furthermore, English opens up large knowledge base to Indians.

“Is there any hope for India or for Pakistan, if we go on hating each other, suspecting each other, borrowing and building up armaments against each other –"

Aparne, you could not have quoted anything more absurd than the above.

Pakistan is no more in the cross hairs of teh Indian military. The idiotic rajagopal was high on the gandian peace hooch, today any major power need to have military and that is why india is spending bog, and now the vision is at china.

Read about the chinese missile base targeting India, read about the chinese underground submarine base..

Pakistan will be iraquised and that will not need much of teh indian military.

The pathetic pakis keep firing their chines and korean built missiles, and now the indians feel that there os more than 80 percent chance that they can be shot down.

The pakis are stupid in firing those missiles, because they are not testing anything, just giving the world detaisl of their flight profiles and capabilities.

Guys guys guys ... Can we please discuss political issues without getting away from the topic. The issue is no longer whether or not Nehru or Patel were in favor of Pakistan - the country has been created and exists. The question today is that will the two neighbors learn to accept each other and thus help themselves or will they just keep hurting each other and benefitting no one. I think Pande makes a valid point - the question is will the leadership hear what is said.....

Junoon's peace concert in Kashmir has come at the right

time. But in the India-Pakistan peace context, one has

to learn not to hold ones breath.

All we need is a little flexibility and LOTS of LUCK!

VRV, Hari...
Jawa...(Urdoo name from the middle east influence) Nehru was from J & K. He wanted to see it part of India. He had no basic agenda.
Regarding creation of Pakistan, Patel had no power to pervent it. He could have got a decesive solution for Kashmir, but that should have made some concession ( devide along ethnic lines). It would have been beneficial for India.
I am sure, if we were able to divert large amount of the money spent on defence, we would have got good education and healthcare...

Hari,

'If Sardar Patel had been given responsibility for Kashmir, there would be no Kashmir problem and there would be no Pakistan either.'

What u'd done to the 45 crore Muslims? Final Solution?

Infact they'd done that to ppl like u(s). Glad that Pakistan happened. How u guys always want this:

'Want to have a cake and eat it too'

[61 years ago we made a tryst with destiny and it took us down a very tough path but we made it to where we are today.]

We made a bad decision 61 years ago to make Jwahirullah Nehru the Prime Minister of India when he was not qualified to be dogcatcher.

Jwahirullah took Kashmir away from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. If Sardar Patel had been given responsibility for Kashmir, there would be no Kashmir problem and there would be no Pakistan either.

[Today we owe it to ourselves and to our future generations to help Pakistan and Pakistan’s new leadership make its tryst with destiny. When Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Foreign Secretary S.S. Menon go to Pakistan on May 20 we hope they will offer Pakistan something more than just the usual talk.]

What the world owes Pakistan is airbursts of buclear weapons over Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Peshawar.

Hopefully, Pranab Mukherjee and India's Foreign Secretary will offer Pakistan the words of US Administration ("Be prepared to be bombed back to the Stone Age") rather than the Jwahirullah Nehru policy of "let us be brothers and friends".

But then, that would be expecting too much from men of short stature and shorter penises.
