Amber, I really liked the poem. I live in Lahore and would love to visit the place. Could you please e-mail me at sobiaaslam@hotmail.com? Thanks!

worthy sentiments, but poorly expressed. good luck with your work..have you tried involving school kids on a voluntary basis to work with these children? on our sports day we invited the special olyimpics team from pakistan to participate alongside our students. the first day was awkward, but the final day, when top honours went to a special athlete and he did a victory lap with two hundred people running behind him cheering and `we are the champions blaring` there wasn`t a dry eye in the stadium. and some of our students wanted to put in more hours with them.
zehra,
welcome back...glad to see you haven`t gone all soft and mushy. you`re right about the wordsworth thing, but i do think some good can come out of it too. even if it`s just a belief in pantheism.

amber #6,
That`s a great thing that you are doing for those children. Keep it up. I`m sure people will take example from you and make progress of their own.

I have been here and there, just searching for my lost shaker of salt...
Nice to have you back; you vamp of Barnes & Nobles!
Re: Temporal
Thanks, and no! You cannot ride into the sunset...will take too long...try driving into it!

better than rehan babers work but somehow in most poets coming from pakistan, i see that longfellow and wordsworth tradition that they cant seem to get away from...
free your creative minds...try not to stay within the lines.
ferozk...where have YOU been?

The best part was the dedication message...
and yet,we,the blessed ones seem to lose hope, spirits and conviction all the time...maybe we should learn from the handicaped..
cheers.
Taimur.

Amber bbjr:
Feel like saying welcome back to Chowk! Where have you been, if it is not redundant.
Ouch! That ‘heavans’ hurt!
The indomitable spirit in a child never fails to amaze me. They do not know any better. But when this childlike spirit transcends age it gives us Edhis and Teresas.
love,
t
PS: Feorz:
Oh, well .........
I see the budding critic in you.
Can I ride into the sunset?

First of all; Temporal, where are you? This is the second time I have stolen a march on you !:)
Loved the poem, but to take a page from Temporal, could have been said in less words...
Ciao!
