Salaam Sobia!

I read this article ``If the shoe fits`` and thought how interesting a topic; so amusing and heart-warming. I loved the way you victimise yourself for having man-sized feet :) yet mock the short girl with equally enormous feet! Your reference to the classic bollywood film ``Pakeezah`` and it`s symbolic ``foot-scene`` is really thought provoking and although you didn`t expand on it, I do believe there IS something in the South Asian psyche that beautifies feet in an almost Goddess worship like way!

Re: krash-Id

``But tommorow Pakistani will be saying this is our board and Indian will send their forces to retain the sanctity of south asian board.``

No, tomorrow Pakistan will demand a piece of the Times of India board because it happens to have 2 Muslim employees and when refused it will send terrorists to blow up the building.

Indians are most welcome on this board.

But tommorow Pakistani will be saying this is our board and Indian will send their forces to retain the sanctity of south asian board.

Just a thought for Badbudar oneliners.

Whose sense of humor comes directly out of gutter and whose oneliner are really Indian.

I never knew Indians.

And if they are such.

They have a very BRIGHT future.

That is why I am proud of my ancesstors that they realized Pakistan, where at least this kind of behaviour I had not had to experience.

So they are nud-e now. Open with all their real thoughts.

Where are those Indians who were a friend of Pakistan and Islam and whatnot just 6 months back.

Shandana, Are you the one who wrote the article below. If yes, it was a superb article. It was informative, providing one a view of the life of Hindus in Pakistan. Congrats!!!

Hey Sobia, great piece. Could be worked up into a standup routine on Comedy Central. We need MORE stories of South Asian women and their extremities!

Hey let`s develop that great South Asia humor and leave those dismal `border` stories behind. Frankly I`d rather be borderline funny than focus on that line of hate.

I have a half baked theory that a little more humor will result in better understanding among neighbors. My personal experience is that I go gaga over Pakistanis. Love `em to pieces, he he he.

So Sobia, girlfriend, don`t be discouraged by the naysayers and take care of those fab footsies.

cheers,

ussa

Sobia:

Enjoyed the article.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious retail niche.

My faith in knee-jerk idiocy has been restored. Even if one were to write recipes on oil free `pakoras` there will be no escape from the dreaded K words. Or for that matter I/P H/M bigotism.

regards,

temporal

Re : My final posting on the Kashmir issue

Addressed to Mr Hayat, satyavadi and all the sensible chowkwallas

Since by grace of God(Allah) Mr Hayat has resumed a saner composure, I will also try to be more gentle. It was not my intention to be a spoilsport, but the kind of allegations Mr Hayat was making appeared contradictory to me. There were many logical fallacies in his arguments.

For example he says, that I was promoting a kind of ``racial apartheid`` by considering Hindu race to be superior. I invite anyone to go through my posts to check if at any place I have declared it. Infact this was one of his biggest untruth.

Definitely I dont agree with it and the other saner minds also will not agree to such a preposterous talk. Since you blame me for something I have not done so I assume that you nurture an inferiority complex mingled with hatred somewhere deep in your heart.

Secondly he writes that I am attempting to imply that all Pakistanis are terrorists. The statement from which he derives his conclusion was,`` Hindus and Muslims killed by Pakistani terrorists``. Can by any leaps of logic a conclusion be drawn that ALL Pakistanis are terrorists. Later on I even clarified that a more accurate sentence should be Pakistan backed terrorists.

Thirdly when I answered a set of questions raised by him on Kashmir, my learned and honorable friend seemed to be unaware of Article 371 of Indian Constitution whereby Kashmir is declared an autonomous state to a limited extent except on the issues of defense, transport and communications, and foreign policy . The govt of India can not impose its laws on the local govt on other issues. He tried to side step this issue by saying that law is not followed in India.Need I say that the rule of law is at least as good in India as in Pakistan if not better. So it seems that a little more home work needs to be done before discussing this issue.

There were many such logical flaws in his arguments but leave the matter. As a final call, let`s agree to disagree. We will continue on our own ways of what we think is right since we failed to convince the other of our viewpoint. I view Kashmir as an internal matter of a state which should be solved peacefully by talking to our OWN people without any interference from the outsiders.

Sincerely

``But that`s my opinion. I`m sure Rsaxena is having a laughing fit right now.``

Come on now, I scolded him before you posted this :) I even warned him about that maar padegi.

Throwing around Barbie doll plastic numbers is not an appreciation of the female form.

Your sense of humor is of ill-taste, much like hamidm`s.

But that`s my opinion. I`m sure Rsaxena is having a laughing fit right now.

Re: scout

``I can`t afford Ferragamo (unless I can find a pair under 50 bucks which I doubt I could), I`m still a poor student. If you`re feeling generous, could you send Sobia and I a couple of pairs of those gorgeous leather sandals.``

Hmmm, I already emptied my little wallet there. If you would`ve let me know earlier :)

But think of it this way....you can buy 4 pairs that last a year each elsewhere or 1 pair which lasts 4 years at Ferragamo. Doesn`t work for everyone though.

The situation is getting uglier and uglier with each and every post. Could you guys take this mud slinging to the other article, where I can join you as well and not feel guilty about taking over Sobia`s space.

salmangorsi #30,

Although I don`t agree with Jyoti, I think it was very rude of you to insult her like that.

Jyoti, you are at fault here, for bringing this discussion to this article.

Look what you started?

Don`t spread hatred in the light of the sweet innocent musings of Sobia.
