Jay #11 you advise neurogen that ``All indians are not bad...``

I believe neurogen was referring to only two individuals, and not because they happen to be indians. As such, I think your advice excellent, but unnecessary.

neurogen,

All indians are not bad, some really want to give some good advise to the pakistanis, they think that pakistanis are just a bunch of muslims they have in india, these good but stupid indians should read dawn for a few years to know the difference between pakistanis and indians, chalk and cheese.

Bond scheme for expatriates

PAKISTAN has been seeking much needed loans from the international donors with relatively little success. Why doesn`t it follow the recent example set by India? The State Bank of India brought out a foreign currency bond scheme among non-resident Indians, primarily those in the Middle East. It was over-subscribed to raise a total of about 5 billion dollars! Soon after that, this week the World Bank approved low interest loans of 176 million and 2.5 billion dollars. The latter was given to one state (Karnataka) for infrastructure development.

This example shows that Pakistan should first tap its own people residing abroad. After that, very quickly, the IMF and the World Bank will fall in line.

Bindu:

Welcome to Chowk.

Have read you at the other site. It is interesting to see the progress you make with each story -- Sycophant, Mother, The Cat, the first Ganapathy story the Contest, the nose pin and the witch woman.

My favourite is the Contest.

You have a simple way of narrating stories. Don’t lose this trait.

regards,

temporal

I enjoyed this and moreover it provides a good change of pace from regular chowk fare. Its style is reminiscent of `Swami and Friends` by RK Narayan.

You two guys get scared so easily. Where is the little penache here? Grow out of it for crying out loud; it is getting childish. Give yourselves a break; live a little.

Boo
;)

Bindu,

The story is nice, but too innocent for many people on chowk, I think. Here is how you could spruce it up for purposes for marketing purposes:

a. Have these Ganu and Shyamoo visit the red light district, not the movie theatre.

b. Have Jamboo present, not as a customer, but moonlighting as a female impersonator. Have him dance around before he spots the boys.

c. Rather than putting him home with dysentary, have Jamboo cringe before the boys the next day in school, and walk around with his eyes on the ground the rest of the time.

Now this would be a story that people on chowk would understand.

Btw: Kamarkattu? What exactly is that?

elephant god,

Ganapathy is the elephant god, pakistanis love this, the ultimate proof of the pagan nature of hinduism, worshipping a grotesque god, far worse than pointing the posterior opposite to a stone in some far of land.

That was just an introduction, important aspect is the chnage in the indian govt policy, accepting that jihad is an integral part of TNT and pakistan. The following is from times of india, and is a clear indication of the acceptance of reality that children of TNT have grown up and siezed control in pakistan.

India ready to face challenges of terror: President

SINGAPORE: India on Friday said it was prepared to travel to any extent to face the challenges poses by international terrorism and fundamentalism even as it was keen to establish peaceful and harmonious relations with its neighbours.

Speaking at a banquet hosted by Singapore President S R Nathan, President K R Narayanan said though India had developed good and mutually beneficial relations in its neighbourhood, it had been vigilant in combating international terrorism and fundamentalist forces ``seeking to subvert the unity and stability of established nations``.

India is prepared to travel to any extent to face these challenges, he said.

Narayanan, the first Indian president to visit Singapore in 30 years, said India looked upon Singapore as an appropriate partner in economic and commercial cooperation and saw bilateral ties between the two countries as a gateway to a larger cooperation with South East Asia, east Asia and the Asia-Pacific.

I don`t know who the heck you are but you`ve got some nerve writing such an Indian story on Chowk. Chowk is a home for Pakistani writers to publish their work...please leave them alone and let them have some space of their own. You can respond to propoganda which relates to India but please don`t give yourself the liberty to start your own threads with a creative piece on India.
