Samina,
Ha ha. Alright, alright, alright. I`ll give it to you. That was a good one...and I just don`t know how to do a better one on that.
As for the Comp. Prof. bit, I had thought you were a social scientist. Anyhow...

Ana,
Howdy! I gotta be honest with you, I think I killed my patient! I`ll never make it into healthcare. The guy was suffering from cardiac failure and I was meant to ease his heart workout and give it plenty of low resistance, give his chambers some space to work efficiently and increase the bloody supply to its tissue...and I killed the b@stard. Can you believe that? I actually began putting the guy`s heart through its paces. It`s like telling a 70-year-old to start bench lifting. Don`t ask me what happened. Whilst reading the question, I turned into a wonky-eyed dyslexic with a jello brain. What an idiot! I completely mis-read the question. Screwed that one up big time.
And then there was this really annoying tune going through my head. Ravel`s Bolero would have suited me but `I`m a Barbie girl - in a Barbie world`, wasn`t one of them. You know how it`s always the cr@ppy tunes which stick in your head, dontcha?
But apart from that, yeah thanks, the rest of the paper and other papers were cool, real cool. It`s amazing how your mind opens up during stress and you seem to find the angle and height, at which a heap of powder collapses, fascinating! Give me a cardigan, white socks and sandals anytime.

Howdy`all,
digit, t, Semi...Ta!
t,
Thanks for the welcome, mate. Sorry about the `sahib` bit. Hope you weren`t offended. I just said it out of respect. As for the 23rd Chromosome, you know, for a chromosome which doesn`t code for much (hairy ears and the all-important hormone), it`s a pretty awesome little thing!
Digit,
It`s what Semi said but I`m guessing that the whitecoats are still guessing about the reasons on a molecular level. People talk about these telomere things which are present on your DNA and shorten with the ageing DNA but there aren`t any studies (I think) which relate telomeres to ageing.
The interesting thing with Dolly, however, is this…
Dolly was cloned with DNA that was extracted from the udder cell of a 6-year-old ewe. Therefore, Dolly was cloned from a six year old DNA. Now, when Dolly was born, she may have been zero years old but her DNA was 6 years old. When dolly died because of complications, her body was 6 years old but she carried 12-year-old DNA…
12 is the average life span of a ewe.
So in a way, she lived her complete life.
If this is the case, I`m guessing that in future when therapeutic cloning is perfected, the National Health Services will provide a service whereby new born babies can have a portion of their cells removed and frozen. This frozen DNA will be only 9 months old and if the individual suffers bodily damage in the future, this DNA can be used for repair work. For all we know, it may become a standard procedure in the future when tissue from the babies` umbilical cords will be preserved and frozen for future uses.

...digit...dolly was put to death because of a progressive lung disease and premature aging...she hardly lived up to half the life expectancy of a sheep...they don`t know yet whether it was due to her being a clone....but all the same...makes you wonder whether cloning is really worth it....it really is a pandora`s box...

bald, bawdy, bent men or men handsome
in many can cause havoc fulsome
the only thing bigger than the creator
is the ego of a few men atop a tor
neglecting lessons taught by an adulator
prophethood is not any more a factor
godhood ---he wants to be the ultimate actor.

...speaking of Dolly, what exactly was the cause of her death, and was it in any way related to the fact that she was a clone?
