many thanks for translating this for us ``Gulabi Urdu`` types.
Faiz was one of the greatest writers of his century. He should have won
the Nobel prize for literature but I believe that his political views were
not appreciated.

I think this is perhaps one of the very few pieces of writing, if not the only one, by Faiz that I have enjoyed in the original Urdu and while this translation is good, urdu ka apna maza hai. A lot of the vitality of the original has been lost in translation.
