Romair
Have you read the jehadi manual- a masterpiece of guerilla and sub-urban warfare which has been adopted by the Al-Qaeda and the rest of the jehadi groups- you know who were the authors- The guys in the ISI!!!!
Your Musharaff is an ex-commando man- and he knows that he has to avenge the humiliation of surrenders in the previous wars - including Kargil surrender. So it is clear that till he is around he will keep on pumping resources into the jehadi machinery and also pushing the jehadi boys into kashmir.
Guys like you who cannot even let their own people decide their own fates democratically eulogize about self-determination for others. I can assure you - that you would not get even an inch of any land you think belongs to the indian muslims- you lost your claim after 1947 and the indian muslims know about your competence in handling your own affairs not to talk about kashmiri muslims.
Listen to what the world is talking about- wake up!!! knock !! knock!! burn your uniform and get back into the civilian life.
Are you there???

Sadna #111,
Well put, but a wasted effort as sigalph indicated.
Romair, could you please tell us why the Indians would ``fear`` Wolpert ?
They may think his views are inconsequential, which you will admit, they
have a right to do.

Sadna:
Romair has been carrying this story on for the past three years. He can go to any of the major websites of western papers and do a search on Kashmir and get many many articles. But he carries on insisting that the Indian gov`t has banned foreign journalists from Kashmir. It is a stuck record.
Othair Romair Reasonings are:
1. The BJP is worse then the MMA. The BJP is about the same as SSP.
2. India took Kashmir, Hyderabad and Junagadh, which is true. But he will not talk about the Pakistani attempt to do the exact same thing.
3. The Arabs are useless soldiers and Afghans are the best. Never mind that the Arabs fought to the death and the Afghans rushed to surrender or switch sides.
4. The Pakistani flag TShirt has been oft repeated.

You`re using logic above the normal processing capacity of the gentleman concerned. Wait for him to characterize the differences you point out as Zionist propaganda.

In the last few years, after posting numerous references to WESTERN newspapers by WESTERN journalists who visited J&K, and not getting any reply or acknowledgement from you, I am not going to oblige you again.
You can do a google or go onto NYT/Washington Post or yahoo and search the numerous resources on the Web if you are interested.
You will find it hard to find any Indian source terming Indian armed forces/paramilitary tactics ` terrorism`. Terrorism`s dictionary definition is `violence (as bombing) committed by groups in order to intimidate a population or government into granting their demands `.
Since Armies generally donot have `demands` from the population/govt(except perhaps in case of Pakistan), but operate on orders from the government, their activities are not termed `terrorism`. For example even after killing hundreds of thousands in Bangladesh in the space of a few months, the Pakistani Army was not said to be committing `terrorism`.
Heavy handedness/trigger-happy behaviour/murder by armies/state agents comes under the category of `human rights abuses`. If you are unable to find Indian newspaper reports you should read the BOOKS published on J&K by Indians. A number of them cover the subject of Indian Armed forces behaviour in J&K.
India /Indians are not `afraid` of Wolpert. They are not even afraid of Madeline Albright who was in N.Delhi 2 days ago, meeting Advani and calling for a plebiscite in J&K. Your propaganda machine seems to be sleeping on the job..

sadna/ballukhan#109: Your rhetoric aside, according to all international human rights organizations, and whichever journalist that can sneak into Kashmir, an overwhelming majority of the terrorism in Kashmir is being committed by India. This is why India goes out of its way to ban HR, SAARC, UN, EU and any other observors on the LOC or in Kashmir. While Pakistan and Kashmiris are always pushing for the organizations to monitor the LOC and Kashmir.
Yet, I have looked long and hard to find Indian newspapers that highlights the terrorism committed by the Indian Army in Kashmir. I have yet to find any Indian newspaper that even call the Indian Army and its govts. action, ``terrorism.`` Could you point me to any?
Pakistani newspapers, on the other hand, regularly point out Pakistan`s actions in Bangladesh, and in Kashmir.
Dawn points out terrorism in Kashmir, and indicates that it is occuring from both sides (much to the misfortune of Kashmiris). It does so weekly and on a regular basis. Indian newspapers seem completely unwilling to call the Indian actions in Kashmir those of terrorists. Nor have I seen any of them supporting Kashmiri self-determination, irrespective of India and Pakistan. Though many Pakistani newspapers do call for this.
As stated earlier, I would like you to point me to some Indian newspapers that mention the words, ``Indian Army`` and, ``state terrorism`` and, ``Kashmir`` in the same sentence. Or any Indian newspapers advocating asking the Kashmiris who the real terrorists in Kashmir are, i.e. the Indians or the Pakistanis.
I cannot even imagine an Indian newspaper asking Wolpert a similar question: ``They say that the Indian Army in Kashmir carry an ideology. You cannot terrorise them, you have to win them over.
Interestingly, Wolperts solution for Kashmir are quite different from atut-ang (and nearly identical to what I have been suggesting). I think people like Wolpert are pesona non grata on Kashmir, in India. And that is why Indians fear his views on this issue.

Thanks for your post.
Dr. Salam will go down in history as one of greatest Pakistanis and finest human beings of this century. My father had the honour of meeting Dr. Salam during the early days of Zia government. What struck him most about Dr. Salam was his modesty. Despite his accomplishments, this man was down-to-earth. Despite the tribulations heaped on his community by Zia, this man remained a true patriot to his last breath. An ordinary man would have turned bitter against his homeland. But Dr. Salam continued to assist Pakistani scientists in their nuclear programme despite the Ahmedi-specific laws introduced by Zia.

It seems Mushy escaped yet another bid on his life, by 30 seconds. Otherwise it would have been a good day for the world - the day two tinpot dictators of the modern time were neutralised - Saddam and Musharaf.
