No doubt that Javeed was a very good player of his time but there is no need to disgrace others like imran, wasim, waqar etc. They also gave much to Pakistan.

Typical Javed, I, I , me , me .. I have done this for Pakistan etc. Mostly Javed is unhappy with Imran but Imran never spoke like this for Javed.
I totally agree Javed had a big role in winning 1992 world cup but he was always supported by someone else too. Like inzaman in semi final, imran in final. Javed wasnt able to change much in the match against india where the task fell single handedly on him.
I do admire him and respect his qualities but I have just gotten tired of his unhappy with everyone attitude

Amir Sohail, Ramiz Raja, Miandad etc with the PCB/Team side and persons like Imran, Sarfraz, Sikander, Mohsin, Majid are on the other side of the road and waiting for red signal to cross the road. I think Pak Cricket has THE BEST EVER out side the team. ok: Inzi and Shoaib are doing fine and could do even better but Youahna along with Yasir, Sami and Shabbir are the real future for Pakistan. Those all, in and out, constitute the big big destroyer, but still our team does not seem to me confident and reliable? Is it all players in the team themselves who could made themselves? Like Miandad, Imran and Saeed? Isn`t it all the big army behind the team sewage? I believe in Miandad`s capabilities but still players are doing the same mistakes.

Hi,
Pak Cricket is highly indebted to the services of great Miandad, But I do not like his constant attempt to be-little Imran Khan. I dont remember Imran ever saying such things in Public ?

So he (Imtiaz Sipra) agreed that if I helped bring the World Cup to Pakistan, he would give up his sports writing career.
Just curious... did Imtiaz Sipra give up journalism after Pakistan won the world cup?

Pakistani cricket politics never changes. Just like they dropped Javed Miandad, before the 1992 World cup, when he still had a few good matches left in him, they dropped ``Saeed Anwar``, after he clearly had the best World Cup of any othe Pakistani batsmen. I wonder, why didnt they recall Saeed, when they did Inzamam? Is it his big ``Daarhi``, that did him in?

There is no doubt in it that Maindad was the best Batsman which Pakistan cricket had. Now its Inzamam. I and my family is a big fan of Miandad and i still remember my teenage years when i used to sit in front of TV in evening to see his Sharjah cup matches at crucial stages.

I was a spectator in the stadium the day Miandad made his test debut - 1976 in Lahore. He scored a century, actually 163 (was it?), hitting three fours in succession to reach the milestone. That day is literally etched in my mind and I can still get a thrill remembering how that played out. Asif was on the other end, Collinge was bowling, Miandad was on 90 (I think) and instead of getting more cautious he opened the face of his bat and hit an imperious four, Asif walked up to calm him down, next ball and Miandad hit another imperious four, Asif glared at him from the other end, literally ordering him to stop doing this. Miandad nodded his head to pacify Asif and hit Collinge for a third successive four to reach a test century on debut, Asif ran to embrace the new master. I was a fan forever.
Thank you Miandad.
Thank you Miandad.
