Good you got the point.

It is another grad school. I’m in a state of limbo for now, at the mercy of departmental associates who are patiently deciding my fate. My current over-anxiety, is repelete with Kodak moments. : )

Hello Rozaiba Sahib
This was fun to read. I liked the way the story flowed; each couple`s relationship being unfolded as part of the Kodak moment:). Thanks for a good read. And good luck with grad school (is it grad?).

R, i get the point. (finally!)
ps. very well-structured; fun to read; and the best part was the simple way in which these complex observations were written. (typed?)

Ras,
The Iman`s don`t necessarily have to be in or around Folsom.
Anyway, I have not burned my bridges to Sacramento and its suburban areas. Though you may be going through and comparing the various couples, it`s best i not draw analogies with real life people for now : ) this is a fictional story afterall.

RE: Rozaiba #22
Rozaiba, senility has not set in (completely) yet.
I just couldn`t resist the comment after reading about ``Rozy Baji`` from Dreamz...
Will people in Folsom at a certain company get annoyed
if you go into specifics?
Ras

Ras, Dreamz:
I’ve met BOTH of you personally. More than once! I know dreamz is mixing my gender out of jest, but Ras, what’s with your memory!!? It’s MR. Rozaiba! As for the identity of the Iman couple- there are many like them.
Shandana, Jang, Samankhan, trashman, glad you liked it.
UmarMurtaza: No. Too much of a good thing is wonderful.
Khamkhwa: yes, the chowkies have spoken!
Cheers!

A really worthy and entertaining effort here Ms. Rozaiba!
Wonder which company in Folsom was being referred to here?
And as to the identity of Mr. Iman?
I really liked:
``Over the years, perhaps due to his limited social abilities in the United States, compounded by his Pakistani upbringing he had bred and nurtured an obsessive-romantic idea of love and life. His success and an American passport would ensure his conditions for a beautiful and fair-skinned girl would be readily acceptable.``

Rozaiba,
This was brilliant! Fantastic stuff. My only complaint is that you didn`t add more couples. I was so interested in their lives. But then, I suppose this was a bit like the choories your naani makes for you: you know it`s delicious and you want to have more but if you have any more, you may become bloated...does that make any sense?
Anyhow, thank you for a damn good read.

Thanks all for your appreciation and advice. God knows part timers like me need the encouragement and critique.
Temporal, Sobia:
Thanks for your help.
Hamidm2:
Glad you enjoyed it.
Fara:
It’s quite close isn’t it? I’m awaiting a couple of phone calls from angry friends who will sound quite sure that some characters in this story were based on them. Which is not entirely false.
Ammaroo: become a cameraman. The writer is currently on the other side of the world.
Aimi: I’m sorry to hear that your lunch breaks are only half-an-hour long. I never liked short breaks.
HisExcellency: there are always such frustrated people hoping such an occasion would give them a chance to be in limelight during the fading days of their lives.
Kaurasach: some of those videos deserve Oscar nominations.
Dreamz: Please don’t encourage others to adopt such misconceptions. I’m a grown up man.
Minhaj: Liked the way you describe it. The Sohails HAVE to be the winners in my stories. : ) I’ll make sure of it!
Urstruly: Aside from whatever other purpose i-logs may serve for people, they are a great way to practice rustic writing skills.
Nooralain: I share your and Minhaj’s opinion that there is something filmi-like in this story.
Cheers!

Weddings....all I can say is ``Many happy returns of the day``

roz,
i really liked this, and like minhaj, i couldn`t help but thinking about how this could be filmed. i think of it more as vignettes with one blending into the other until the end when everyone celebrates in `laughter and forgetting` (that sounds like kundera).
there is always more to a wedding than the happy moments. . .as you said disarray, discord and disorder.
: )
