i have read almost all of the interaction one thing is evident from these comments that apart from few interaction all of them regards amithab very highly
one thing is really correct and undeniable that amithab is more known to the people than nadeem but as far as acting abilities are concerned there is not much difference both are i think good if not great commercial actor their performance level are upward or downward according to the rules they performed also influenced by the director`s abililty to performed them (for example nadeem is great in movies by nazrul islam & pervez malik)
amithab is wonderful in movies of sippy & mehra
these are few exceptions
one more thing the writer in this article does not compare the acting abilities and performance level and popularity level of these two actors his only motive is to show the similarity of thier carreers upward or downward so why there is cry of who is good or who is bad or who is more superior than the other
i also agree with someone remarks that in 1977 pakistan found general zia and that was the begining of pakistani film industry downfall.

``Pakistan was born more than a millennium back with the advent of that brave young Arab commander from Iraq across Balochistan and Sind.``
I wonder what the Pakistani self-image would have been, had Bangladesh still been part of Pakistan. Would they still claim they were Arab descendants one and all? Or would there have been a greater acknowledgement of their Indian heritage?

The guy who wrote the above lines is a nut case. So are the Pakis who believe in the above sentence!
Any nation takes time to evolve and have its own unique culture. Pak too will have a unique culture in time but trying to pass of borrowed culture as its own is ridiculour. More ridiculous is trying to spread the notion that the country existed 1000 years ago when even a kid knows Pak came into existence slightly more than 50 years ago.

Not all are copies of hollywood. To name a few recent ones: 1942, a love story, Lagaan were 2 movies i enjoyed watching. Of course, u would not have missed the Bollywood specials on the Turner Classic channel some months ago and included such classics as: Mother India, Do beegha Zameen, Mughal-e-Azam.
Of course for someone who is prejudices, everything will appear as a copy.
I, however do believe Bollywood has a long way to go before catching up with Hollywood. After all, they have not yet made movies like Ben Hur, 7 Commandments etc.

India has given so much to its greatest celeb, Bachchan saab; but haven`t the Pakistani been unfair to perhaps the only ``real`` screen-legend ever produced by this nation....

Hum Mustafavi haiN
Recorded in 1974: Music Sohail Rana: Voice Mehdi Zaheer
story behind the event:
The Second Islamic conference was scheduled. Time was short. JamilUDDIn wrote the song and as you will notice that it is in ``rajaz`` meter. It was decided that either Umm-Kulsoom or subhaan [ the great singers from egypt] would be retained. Sohail Rana suggested that we should use our own talent. Mehdi Zaheer, of Radio pakistaN- A legend in his own lifetime both as a scholar and as an artist. His recorded songs in Arabic were already popular in the Middle East but he was himself pretty shy and evasive of publicity & commercialism.
The galloping and advancing of horses, after the introductrey [rajaz] which was a part of battle protocol and strict rule among arabs, is a masterpiece in music composition by a genius as well as singing by another genius.
Enjoy!
Pakistan ko Salgirah Mubarak ho.
PakistaaniON ko salgiraaH mubarak ho.
CHOWK ko salgirah mubarak ho.
