You have done a good job of translating what you had. The story itself is a bit depressing and without Tagore’s name, would have little to attract the reader. Did Tagore write cheerful stories, too? If so, please consider bringing some of those in.

Thanks for translating that for us; I haven`t ever read this one, though have heard of it. I sometimes wonder if we Bengalis are more depressed than other Indians-what are your thoughts on this?
