Tony i agree with Nadia, do watch out what you eat @ Mosques, once your dissertation is over i.e.
flash back of people throwing stones on KFC? but that never was fun, burning was!
“burning” KFC used to be a hobby in that block but unfortunately KFC management decided to deprive the locals of all the fun! How Mean!!
thus the locals shifted focus towards Pizza hut, and another one did bite the dust ;)
I feel that the city nazim should arrange for sum sort of activity center here in Karachi (eventually in Lahore and islo as well) where ppl could burn up a building as and when they feel like doing it! i mean there v been times… like the Wapda KESC fiasco and all…we would be able to avoid all resultant traffic jams and financial losses too!
You wrote..
“can we have your mobile phone and your wallet please” << I cudnt understand why would you leave that other cell phone, ipod and the pack of cig from the list?
p.s. guess what.. Pizza hut is finally back and the famous 299* is back as well! >:)

``The difference is they need alcohol to act like Pakistani and we are by default Pakistani so no alcohol needed. Ahh!! Just like my country. ``
U didnt tell us an other secret that probably an Englih only need one Pack to act like pakistani... n We pakistani need a few ( untill v r impassive and unconcious) to act like an English, who wants make a queue even when he/she is alone.
An other thing i wod like to know, u act like a true muslim in Ramzan (definitely 4 free food) but what for the other two months ( Reason to ask: i dont wanna take u wrong )..

Your simplistic views and sights on the contradictory apparent societies is evident, is there anything special you want to say?
The last paragraph was interesting:
``The other good thing about living in a foreign country, it makes a Muslim a true Muslim at least for 3 months. One month of Ramadan and 2 for Moharram. Don`t get me wrong, its not about the flair inside or exuberance of youth or whatever, its about free food (I was punctual in Ramadan going to mosque every day). ``
So whats the big deal, this also happens in non-english countries, plus do watch out what you eat syed in ramadan in mosque..i mean sadqa, charity and fatiha could also get mixed up in dates..leave that for the needie kids..
