Meaning wanders. Like human tribulation, or like error, from text to text, and within a text, from figure to figure. What governs this wandering, this errancy, is defense, the beautiful necessity of defense, but meaning itself is defense, and so meaning wanders to protect itself. In its etymology, "defense" refers to "things forbidden" and to "prohibition'

hey again..the option to 'interact' on the rain gardens article has disappeared, or was it just gardens..so
I'm leaving the comment here, if you don't mind:
"gardens were always the first victims of the conqueror’s axe," very well-conceived line, and the "Thandi Sadak" was a nice touch.....my father often tells me about 'his lahore'...

Hi Nadeem, just started reading your story, very interesting, I have to run some errands now, but will sure get back to it.
I'm thinking for the moment, (and its a recurring thought) what would you name "Adam" if he were to have an Eastern name? catch you later,
Fatima
