first of all, all minorities are doing OK; those who work hard, eventually make it in life ... at least that's been my experience wherever I lived, which includes both the UK and now Australia ... and I see that with most 'minority' members who are hardworking and put in the effort .... those who don't (majority of the time because of their own personal issues) speak of "sour grapes" and berate their adopted countries!

people who feel so strongly about 'black issues' in america should first clean up their own backyards and eliminate discrimination against the 'have-nots' and minorities (be it racial or religious) in their own countries ... then their arguments might carry more weight ... also I'd like to ask anyone how they'd have treated their 'blacks' if they had any (in their own countries) then they can afford to be self-righteous perhaps

On average basis Indian natives of USA suffer extremely and that takes effect on their on health.Red Indians suffer extremely high rate of Alcohol addiction, hyper tension and diabetics and obesity resulting in earlier death. Same Black men have shorter life span. Specially black men die almost 6 years earler than average ameican which is less life of 8% which is sigificant. Govt of usa has systematically destroyed family of blacks as revenge of granting civil rights. I have not been to usa but what my younger daughter described is black race is most damaged by civil rights with destruction of family. It is not intensional is my feeling but black family is deprived man's participation in family.Blck Man is living more like tiger lonely while he should be live like lion family if not headed but proteted by man as common evolutionary development in most societies as well as in normal animals kingdom. It is observation here of mine in Karachi ,men who live with family live longer while lonely men die early. It must be happening there also. I have few lonely living friends and they some time drop when I am not well. Once I went to see a sick my lonely male friend. He was not well ,I did little things for him, took some food, fruits, made tea, returned reached home began to cry my daughter asked what happened.
I told her when I die you will cry , for him not even soul will cry. Lonely men die early. So Black man in usa dies almost 6 to 7 years early. Then I read what Partha writes about one class of Problem. Recently began to feel if black men as group die early they are reduced govt. pension indirectly which everybody in usa gets. So wonder if black man should start getting pension while working call as preretirement pension. You as socal scientist what you feel about that to give at least help financilly and not short charge balck man.

Now some will say blacks are not cost effective or lot money is spent on him to bring up to work market, it may have somethin to it and that can be calculted by accountants to take that factor into account.

Also in west women live more 6 to 7 years more than man. Man should be cmpensated for short span by having more pension than women.

Friend Masadi please do not call Dr. Cheema as an "Illiterate" he is not , may be you can say uninformed, illinformed etc. Words be used carefully specially critical as they are like missile can not be called back, they hit and even if wounds healed the mark is left in mind of receiver.

you clearly have no idea about Australia ... three out of eight territories (Steven Barrack and Morris Iama recent examples)and states have a Lebanese as premier and NSW has even an ethnic female (Marie Bashir) as its governor ... and aborigines don't have any issues getting a room anywhere ... as long as at an individual level they have the financial capacity to pay for it! .... hospitals are full of consultants/specialists from all sorts of backgrounds (including Lebanese, Sri Lankan, Chinese, Malaysian, Indian and Pakistanis ... to quote a few examples) ... and ethnic minorities are well represented in almost all public sector fields all over ... especially the long settled Greeks and Italians from the 1960s ... particularly the Chinese are extremely successful in education, and other academic fields

Rev Wright did his job, he got the black vote out for Obama even though Obama himself talked the 'white' talk just as he walked the 'white' walk, and he got the international coloreds on his side as well. Well done Rev Wright, you were right but fully co opted by the White man...

nb, Hillary does seem to have suffered from sexism to a greater extent that obama did from racism. Racism has been debunked more thoroughly than sexism has been.

But my feeling is that scaling the wall of racism will make it a little easier to scale the wall of sexism in future.
