Airy Fairy: Pls check http://www.qayyums.com/maq/notstunning.doc

Zeeshan: Nah, a bit longer and it doesnt work. Becomes a bit too much like what you write, flush fiction. :) Cheers indeed.

Tainted: I write it as i see it. Or feel it.

Aisha: ANY butcher can do a heart removal. Only certain persons have the expertise to set it right.

[She has a little spot on her heart too, but unlike his, it is not black. Rather, it`s bright and luminous and you can almost see its sparkle reflect in her eyes. Also unlike him, her spot has not developed recently, it was there right from the beginning, but it does grow brighter (almost to a blindening radiance) with every awakening memory. However, what is rather odd is that it affects her in an almost similar way. Only, she has learned from experience, not to worry about the spot. For, she knows, when the right time comes, his black spot would overlap hers and no matter what comes after that, together they would be able to figure out whether the spot should stay and be either black or bright, or just go, leaving nothing but a scar only slightly distinguishable from the various other spots that their hearts had started out with.... blah blah blah.]

Sorry for trying to ruin your story, but there had to be another side to it too. I just couldn`t resist the temptation. The best thing would be to ignore this. I`ll try to keep my mouth shut (/my fingers tied) if a similar situation like this were to arise in future. Got to say though, short and sweet does it best!

How am I wrong MAQbool?

But then I think flash fiction is quite useless. How about something longer eh?

Cheers.

Hi,

Thanx for the nice comments. Just a note of caution. This is actually part of a series of short stories. Two have already been put up. While i did make an effort to make this work on its own, for greater effect and contrast try the others out as well.

bz: i wouldn`t know. dont have a heart :)

zeeshan: u would know about that now wouldnt you. :)
