Hello ZahraJ Sahiba

LOL at #33:)
You are right, I should be more elaborate next time to leave no room for misunderstandings. Even then I think some genius would misinterpret my comments. There is only so much I can do;)

I was going to respond to another interactor on this board, but its not worth wasting my time over. Adios to this board:)

Plats8:
Hopefully, now you understand what Faiza implied.
Ub Samajh Aa Gayee Hae Kae Naheen?
And, please feel free to take pride in being a non-smoker. I am with you on that!!!

Faiza,

Good points!
Sometimes, one has to spell out things in a very clear cut manner and NOT leave it open for interpretation. This is mainly because everyone has different pair of eyes and above all different elements that maketh their brain. And, most of the men on Chowk are the victims of poor comprehension skills. You cannot blame them for that. Allah Taa`la was not so kind to them, I guess :)

“There are blonds in Pakistan-they just don’t have yellow hair.`` #27 HP

“It seemed as if HP was equating loss of virginity with gain of maturity and such an idea is quite absurd. I merely responded to that. Blonds are typically viewed as nincompoop and he seemed to be comparing virgins to blonds.” #31 by faizahussain

No nincompoop! I wasn’t doing any of that! I was stating the obvious. Let me write this in plain English.

I meant there are nincompoops (blond) in Pakistan also and it just so happened that they don’t have yellow hair. (They have dark hair) You just proved me right!!!!
It has nothing to with virginity or loss of it.
Grow up!!!!
BTW, which grade are you in?

Hi plats8
In response to your post #27
It seems as if you have taken my comment out of context. That post was in response to the following written by HP #19
``You sound so childish that I should not even respond to you. Please ignore my previous post it is X rated.
You are clearly not married and if you are then you just don’t even know what marriage is all about. Tuff sh!!!

There are blonds in Pakistan-they just don’t have yellow hair.``

It seemed as if HP was equating loss of virginity with gain of maturity and such an idea is quite absurd. I merely responded to that. Blonds are typically viewed as nincompoop and he seemed to be comparing virgins to blonds. So that was the reason for the response. I am not part of the ``virgin pride`` entourage but I do think even unmarried virgins at times have a better understanding of marriage than those who are married.

ZahraJ #29,

My post has nothing to do with naivete - it was a real question. People
flash this ``virgin pride`` thing often enough, and I asked her the source of
this pride. I mean, can I be equally proud of being a non-smoker ?

Plats8:

I do not think that you are that naive to misread Faiza`s context.

But you may be, one never knows!

Your 3rd question is the most valid and appropriate argument. It should not have been a question.

Dee Ahmed:

I think your last paragraph is very true.

I think it should be the bride and bridegroom to make the decision on how they want to celebrate the event. It`s an important part of their life. Who cares for the rest of the world? :)

Faizahussain #21,

``Sincerely
Unmarried Virgin and proud of it too, Faiza Hussain.``

Exactly what pride is there in being a virgin - would you care to
elaborate ? It may be a choice, but why is it something to be proud
of ? The day you cease to be a virgin, are you going to lose all your
pride and be deeply ashamed thereafter ?

Interesting...coming from someone who is enjoying his anonymity and claims to know my origin. *Sigh*

`` the fact that it`s easier to talk about and do the act itself in the west is the reason why most marriages there hit the rocks soon.think abt that. ``
The fact that divorce is a social taboo is the major reason eastern societies have low divorce rates; think about that. No need to bring in the morality brigade and label the West as all-evil. As far as growing up is concerned, I think there are ppl other than me here who might want to heed that advice. With that being said, take care and good bye.

faiza: i agree with you. marriage is a very sacred bond and there is much more to it than sex. much more. but one has to admit, sex is essential to a blissful marital life. HP is just highlighting this vital part of any marriage. he`s not talking of sex in isolation. and really, growup! there is nothing to be proud of (or be ashamed abt) in being a virgin. also, the fact that it`s easier to talk about and do the act itself in the west is the reason why most marriages there hit the rocks soon.think abt that.

(and yes,in maslow`s hierarchy, physiological needs come before any other and this includes needs like hunger, thirst and sex).

and HP: have had a few nites but no whacking yet! we`re saving it for our first wedding nite.

faizahussain-

Look! I am not interested in any conversation with a child. You are still just a child and there is no need to lie to prove your point. You were not raised here and your writing says it all. Don’t write things that you would regret later.

This site is not restricted but I wish parents have some control on teens nowadays.
If you are not a teen then I am afraid, you need to grow up and fast.

hmm interesting thought ... if a man marries for sex then he really is an ass... because its not worth bearing the burden of a wife when you can get free sex elsewhere, oh well it depends on the man and his ugliness too... too ugly and u will have to to pay for sex ... another point is why have sex with the same women all ure life when ure in for sex only ??? I mean come on gotta have some variety man! ...... well not all men are like that. A lot of us for a lack of a better word are Balanced and sane individuals. These balanced men aactually serve the society in general and women in particular by keeping the flame of hetrosexuality amongst women burning :) Otherwise all women would turn lesbians......

HP

By your previous posts, it seems like you were raised in desi land and not in western society. Thank god I was raised here. Talking about sex might still give you the high, but having been raised here sex talk + the act itself is not that hard for us to engage into and thus doesnt excite us to the extent that it excites you. You had to supress all your emotions till the age where you could either get married or get laid without anyone knowing about it. Having been deprived of all aspects of sex for so long in your life, I can understand why you have developed an infatuation for it and tend to think that marriage is all about sex. There exists life beyond a few seconds of orgasm, you might want to discover that someday.

In post #`12 you wrote ``And you know what … four years in the US and She had a girl friend and I had a girl friend!``
So you drove your first wife to lesbianism? I guess its men like you that turn hetero women into lesbians. Good luck with your current wife and enjoy your nights.
Sincerely
Unmarried Virgin and proud of it too, Faiza Hussain.

Dee Sahiba
Sorry for ruining your board; I guess this will be my last post here because I see potential for name-calling competition which I rather not lower myself to.

Talha Sahib
I just meant that sometimes so much emphasis is put on the wedding ceremonies that it might become an obstacle for the lovers to get married. Simple weddings are less of a burden on both the male and the female`s family but we tend to get bogged down by putting on a show for the world to see and admire instead of focusing on the union itself.
