things go compliacated when parents mistreat, especially when the situation isnt extreme and the entire picture looks greay rather then black or white........if u think marriage for love is right then rather then directly arguing......try to get ur own way and then prove urself right.....
dont let anything ur parents do bug u if it doesnt harm u in any way.......ignore when she backbites, try to avoid situations that trigger nasty behaviours......
imagine what ur mom is growing through...she is an old lady trying to protect her daughter from the whims of the soceity, sometimes over protective and sometimes over possessive but deeply in love.......trust me she never wants to harm u and usually does it unintentionally......
dont go into rebellion.....soother her down......let her have her will sometimes and have urs at others.......if she insists on things like ......covering ur head or not talking to a particular freind or relative.......do that to gain her support........and later on get ur own will on more important decisions.......make sure to remind her that u obeyed her at one instance and now its her turn to comply.........
its a life long battle.......u might never win the way u want to .....but u will minimize the negative affect of her on ur life........u have a mom better then many ......dont decide things as a reaction to her, like marying a guy u like simply cuz she opposes it......also, clear everything up in this world so that any of u dont take these matters in ur grave......
lol.....i am sorry for so many suggesstions but i hope u dont hate me for that......

...dread the day when you wake up one morning and realize that you have turned into a replica of your own mother...:) That is when you will understand her better than ever before.
