Zeerik,
I like the way you wrote about that shop. I have never thought about it that way because the place was one of the first things that people mentioned to me when I arrived here in Abu Dhabi 2 years back. And since then, it`s a great feeling to taste all that we crave. Who could not go for Nirala or the barfi from lal khoo!
The best time to visit the place is wednesday evening after Maghrib.

Re: # 3 In response to the comments of Mr. Ansari about asking the phone number of that Pakistani shop in Abu Dhabi. The phone number is 009712- 6339372. The remaining details can be explored from them directly , if interested. Thanks, Zeerik

Actually its not difficult to get fresh things from any part of Pakistan in UAE.
There are more then 7 flights DAILY that shuttle between Dubai and Karachi only... which mean 1 flight in aprox.3 hours. The fare is cheap and i know people (including myself ;) ) who go pakistan for any odd reason and one of that is food craving!

Assalamualaikum, Zeerik,
Thanks for the article!
Do you have a phone number for these people? I`m sure my parents would appreciate the facility. How much do they charge for the shipping?

Zeerik,
I can only say you are lucky. I was and still am in kind of a desi taste flash these days and i am driving everyone in the family nuts by telling them what I want to eat from Pakistan everyday.
I live in a city where there are not a lot of Pakistani restaurants around and the closest thing to eating anything Pakistani is making it myself but that seriously does not take care of the craving . Have fun and enjoy!!!!

Zeerik, thanks for reminding me of good ol` Madina Zayed and the Mall. It was a fun place I used to hang around with some friends in the good ol` days! That place has a lot of Pakistani restraunts where our people are making the good stuff. If you go to the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Arab Pakistani College Auditorium on Wednesday evenings (I`m not quite sure of the day), you`ll get fresh Pakistani vegetables there. They are flown in every week and month from Pakistan. I don`t know if they still do that... I used to get my veggies there 6 years ago.
But how can you be sure that the guy really got those dahi bhallas from Regal Chowk?! :-) Please let me know the name of the outlet, I`ll ask my dad who lives in Abu Dhabi to go and get some! He`d be very happy.
Thanks again.
