strong article...I want to emphasise the fact that our nation is horrendously misrepresented. All the world sees are taliban-esque images. How do we promote ourselves as moderate-if not secular people-who want to excel in business, arts, education. we as a people have a history and tradition of intellectual achievment. Where is that image? People like you promote it. Good job on that article...hopefully

Anyway, it takes a real man to do what Gen.Musharraf did. He is an example of a man who gets the job done. He is also an example of a self-made man, not a frat-brother of the officer class. He is the only one who had the balls to tackle on the people that he did. And when he did, he revealed behind him all the decent, hard working people who just want to get on with their lives without worrying if their daughter will get shot in the street. Gen. Musharraf is the voice for the moderate, intelligent, underappreciated and unreprestnted population of pakistan. I support him 100%. As for the other political parties, they are nothing but empty pep-rallies for the unemployed.
Lets move forward and show the world our potential behind the example of Mr. Musharaf.

I am disgusted after reading some of the critical stuff people have emailed in. I am particularily dissapointed by some of our Indian brothers who took this forum as an opportunity to flex some muscle and pour insults on Gen. Pervaiz. Anyway, it takes a real man to do what Gen.Musharraf did. He is an example of a man who gets the job done. He is also an example of a self-made man, not a frat-brother of the officer class. He is the only one who had the balls to tackle on the people that he did. bravo bilal, and bravo to your father, who i have known about for many years as being the role model pakistani. what he has done takes immense moral courage and intelligence, exactly the qualities we need in our leaders. i hope this is the beginning of a revolution. i know i will do whatever i can in this process.
