The Relationship That Heals
Posted by Rabi Nov 18, 2000 11:06 am

If the author is himself a psychiatrist, I would give him full credit for the method he has adopted to comfort a psychiatric patient. In fact in modern day`s rush world we don`d get a little time to sit and think or talk to each other on the inner emotions of our lives. They inside create a turbulence and upset our minds. Then body adversely responds to it .A man who doesn`t tell his ill feelings or weaknesses to some one, whoever the listener may be,finds it hard to get relieved from it.The fact is that once he tells his feelings,he gets the required courage and wisdom to face it and get through it.In spiritual terms, it is called goingbeyond.Once the problem has been expressed, he himself is helped at seeing the problem from a from a different angle. And thus the problem is alleviated or atleast minimised. The same also holds true for criminal cases.Thecriminal tries to hide his crime till the time hecan resist. But he gradually finds himself gettingout of control and ultimately comes to confess allhis guilts and really feels a lot of relief. So the maxim still holds good,`Have friends, takethem into confidence and feel cool within`

A Different Story

The Indo-Pak conflict over Kashmir has come to a very critical stage. It is high time that we cure the disease rather than its symptoms. The fact goes like this. Immediately after independence, India was on a mission to unite the kingdom states.Kashmir had an amusing situation. It was a muslim dominated state, but the king was a hindu. Then came the war and as most point out though the king was not interested to be in India, but under the circumstances he had no option but to accede to India as he needed Army immediately to contain Pak troop. It is the religion which makes the strongest bond. The majority of muslims of Kashmir naturally want to go to Pak or form an independent state.Either of them favours Pakistan. The truth is that if Indian Kashmir becomes a part of Pakistan, it is well and good otherwise also Pakistan is not that interested to get Indian Kashmir as it is to see Kashmir being disowned by India. So an independent Kashmir also would mean a diplomatic victory of Pak over India. Another thing to be noted that where as Pak is able to keep its portion of Kashmir peacefully, why India-owned Kashmir is boiling? Who is responsible for it?How long would it continue? Can we have a peaceful and a permanent solution to it?

The German Psychiatrist and His Rubber Parrot

Probably the writer wanted to ploy the story. So

he has written that way. Otherwise I find certain

fallacies in it.

Firstly,Panini should not have got so much flabber

gasted and told any thing he liked to the man, particularly when the man being new to him.

Secondly, the odd accents and odd dress of the man should not have upset him to such an extent, particularly when the author claims himself to be a highly educated research fellow.

Thirdly, he should not have taken the altercation

to such a limit so as to call the police. It is interesting to know that the man has never tried

to quarrel with the author.Rather the author himself has invited the quarrel in almost all occasions.

Selective Islam in Pakistan

Hello.

Well I am very pleased to read Imran,s article. It is very good that he is finally thinking on these lines. I live in the United States and by the blessing of Allah Taala I practice Islam here. I go to Aalim for my Arabic correction in reading Quran. My teacher who is an Islamic Scholar says that most of the muslim who goes to various Universities have mor or less common majors such as MBA, MS or others but it is very hard to see anyone going for Education major or Journalism as well.

In my opinion Imran Khan should raise voice and strive very hard to promote Islamic education because our Quran came for all the time not only for Sahaba`s. If you will notice that we can research the current events and based upon the words of Quran. May Allah give us Ajar . Wasalaam
