Let\'s Kill All The Moslems
May be a group of conscientious Muslims should come together and publish a book entitled what Koran really means. May be in Muslim world this book might sell more copies than Koran itself. Then there is some hope. The way it stands Muslim world is often divided on very basic dictums derived from Koran. And when one dictum conflicts with another then it is pretty much left to the reader to interpret anyway he/she likes.

I am not a religious scholar so I don`t have the authority to render a fatwa, but I am categorically claiming that ``ISLAMIC SHARIAH FORBIDS ANY MUSLIM TO BREAK A LAW OF THE LAND, NO MATTER WHAT IT IS, ESPECIALLY IF THE COUNTRY OF YOUR RESIDENCE IS PRE-DOMINANTLY NON-MUSLIM``.May be a group of conscientious Muslims should come together and publish a book entitled what Koran really means. Would a Muslim princess who translated Jataka tales be considered a ``devout`` Muslim? According to a Mumbai Mirror article on a book by Shrabani Basu on this woman (Spy Princess) such a woman could be ``devout`` Muslim. The article quotes Basu saying that Noor (the princess) was a ``devout`` Muslim.
I reproduce the relevant para from MM below:
Basu says that the western world views Muslims as a people who blow themselves for causes that are antithetical to freedom and democracy. Noor Inayat Khan’s life turns this stereotype on its head. She was devout Muslim who went against the pacifist principles of her sect and joined the worldwide campaign against the Nazis because “she believed it was a sin to stand by and watch the progrom Hitler has unleashed on the Jews.” She died “for her principles, for freedom and democracy.”

...In Quran it is clearly mentioned that an infidel has no right to say anything about Islam...]
Does Quran mention that a believer can challenge all of Islamic beliefs? Or, some beliefs are off limits to believers also? If some significant parts of Quran cannot be challenged by believers also and these are too crucial for relations between believers and non-believers then non-believers are bound to talk about it. A non-believer may not know entire system of your beliefs but since he/she is affected by some of your beliefs then he is bound to talk about it whether you give him that right or not.
It is like 9/11. As long as your beliefs are not causing terrorist acts like 9/11 west is going to leave you to your beliefs. By all means immerse yourself in these beliefs, cook them up and eat them up, no one is going to question you. But as soon as 9/11 happened same beliefs affected west because ultimately 9/11 was result of your beliefs. So now west is going to say what is acceptable and what is not. From there on meddling in Islam will begin. For good or bad you will have to learn to live with it.

IMHO veiled female students are okay as long as they do not teach their sons to blow themselves up. I am all for Muslim women getting educated. I hope the findings of western researchers that educated women beget fewer children is not culture-specific. If some of these learn about great achievements of science such as brought about by extreme sacrifices of Copernicus and Galileo then may be, just may be they might understand why modern Christianity has become such an unbelieving religion. They might then want to start similar revolution in their own society. May be I am dreaming. Let Pakistan open ``womens only`` universities. Let Pakistani women join these in large numbers. Let these places have many women centric vocational courses so that women feel that it is worth their while to join these universities. Let these places do many women centric studies. Veils or no veils that will do them good.
Quit India: Hindutva Goons!
The motive for the manufacturing of bombs at Rajkondwar`s house is still under investigation. There is no evidence yet of this as nationwide effort. According to Rahul Pande blast happened because of mistake in setting timer. If there is a nationwide RSS campaign of making and planting bombs then there would be dicovery of bomb making activity all over India in which RSS is involved. Simply because Rajkondwar is RSS activist does not mean there is nationwide RSS effort to make and plant bombs. It could be misadventure of his son who was killed in the Nanded blast.
In spite of Hindu bias in conducting of police investigation because Maharashtra government is a Congress govt any suppression of fact of large scale involvement of RSS is unlikely. If seculur Hindus cannot be trusted to conduct unbiased investigation then who could be trusted? Not trusting investigators simply because they were born to Hindu parents is height of paranoia.

Also there are things in your situation which are peculiar to you. You had a supportive friend who lent you 50 grand. You had a supportive mother who had a property at clifton. And you had a circle of friends who probably did word of mouth advertising for you and who probably brought first client(s) to you. In #53 You say that: ``I used to meet that many [40] people in less than a week``. So you are gregarious (or you are giving free lunch as part of your business strategy). And of these 40 people how many are capable and willing to throw 25 grand at you?
In 6 months time you had a million rupee plus business. In 6 months there are 26 weeks. You can meet more than 40 people in a week. So you meet more than a thousand in 6 mo time. Of this 40 were converted to paying customers. So rate of a person who meets you capable of converting into a paying customer is 4 percent. This person has to throw you 25G and also have some financial muscle to pull off an ``expansion`` into Pakistan of whatever he already is doing in say Saudi or US or Timbaktu. So you meet may be 1000 people over 6 months and make a million by converting a subset of these into your paying clients and so you must be already surrounded by super rich people. About 4 percent of these are convertible into your customers. Based on this is it realistic to think that any tom, dick and harry of Karachi would also be capable of making a million in 6 mo?
If there exists a business which every one can do and which earns at above average return rate with a zero probability of failure then soon there will a rush of people and return rate will be pulled down to average or probability of failure will become non-zero. You should read Monish Pabrai`s writings to understand what I am saying.

Success stories like this are rare. If you take the universe of startups and then try to find out how many survived and how many earned average returns, how many less than average and how many above average. Only a minor subset of startups survive beyond few months. Entire universe of startups which were ever imagined but were never ever tried is bound to be even a larger set. True context of evaluation of business environment of a country is that. How come you did not jump into the first random business idea that came to your mind? Instead you decided to ``just observe society`` for 3 months before doing anything. Also there are things in your situation which are peculiar to you. You had a supportive friend who lent you 50 grand. You had a supportive mother who had a property at clifton. A Nation of Eunuchs
It is important to radically eliminate Islam which most cynical religioun in memory. Europe understood this during crusades. True task of crusades should not be considered finished until this evil religion is totally eliminated and all romanticism associated with their past is clearly shown as accidental or in spite of it.

In Gujarati there is an expression which basically says that paap (sin) of a person or people fills a clay vessel like ``matka`` (ghaDo in Gujarati using ITRANS notation). Sooner or later a person does too many paaps and then this ghaDo breaks. The idea this expresses is that what goes around comes around but not in the fashion of boomerang but in the fashion of a bank account in which some money is there. You start spending savings and immediately you are not in trouble but you are in trouble when you run out of your savings. At that point ghaDo full of sin cracks, bringing all the shitload of past sins drenching the sinner with his own shit. Victims snap and bring all hell unleashed on the sinner. I do not think Indians are eunuchs. They certainly wait until our enemies run out of all remaining goodwill. It is important to radically eliminate Islam which most cynical religioun in memory. I got this Mumbai Mirror edition with Time of India sunday edition. Sunday TOI carries a story of how easy it is to buy a stick of gelatine for mere 50 rupees. So only techology they have to master is of hitching a timer device. This time they used timers hidden in pencils. I get the impression from all this that it must be pretty easy (except for timer thing) to build a bomb. I thought Ammonium Nitrate was a fertiliser. It seems either dynamite and/or AmNitr was used as explosive. This revelations are scary because I thought info about timers etc can be easily found from a well-stocked library or over internet. I think so best thing to do is to make carrying ID mandatory and recording of ID of each and every individual entering railway premises before entry and also random checks on board trains. With credit card type ID cards this should be possible.

This past Sunday`s Mumbai Mirror carries the story of one Dr Jalees Shakeel Ansari who planned 1993 serila train blasts. The article quotes an officer saying that there is a `cartel` of blast conspirators who exploit the hurt felt by Muslim youths. The cartel has two main specialist groups: Shariah and Strategy. The Shariah group has religiou people who brainwash gullible youths into believing in Jihad. The Strategy group equips youths with knowledge of how-to of acts.I got this Mumbai Mirror edition with Time of India sunday edition. No one can make India kneel: PM
Declaring that ``no one can make India kneel,`` Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that this had been testified by the people of Mumbai and Srinagar by returning to normal life within hours of the serial blasts.
``I salute the people of Mumbai and Srinagar for the speed with which they have returned to normal life today. This is living proof of our contempt for terrorism,`` Dr Singh said in an address to the nation on Doordarshan.
Assuring the victims that the government would everything possible to assist each one of them, he said, ``Mumbai stands tall once again as the symbol of a united India, an inclusive India. Let me say again, no one can make India kneel. No one can come in the path of our progress.``
Following is the text of the Prime Minister`s address:
``Friends, Yesterday, the people of Mumbai and Srinagar once again endured the trauma of terrorism. The nation stands by them in this hour of grief.
I pay tribute to all those who showed courage and humanism in responding to the cowardice of terrorists. Your resilience and resolve will triumph over the evil designs of the merchants of death and destruction.
This is not the first time that the enemies of our nation have tried to undermine our peace and prosperity.
These elements have not yet understood that we Indians can stand united. That we will stand united. They have not yet understood that we will never let them win.
I salute the people of Mumbai and Srinagar for the speed with which they have returned to normal life today. This is living proof of our contempt for terrorism.
I commend the good work done by the police, the security forces, railway staff, firemen, medical personnel, government officials and others in responding to the tragedy.
I commend all our citizens for the concern they have shown in this hour of distress. My heart goes out to those who have lost their loved ones. We will do all that is possible to help each of the families in distress.
Mumbai stands tall once again as the symbol of a united India. An inclusive India.
Let me say again, no one can make India kneel. No one can come in the path of our progress. The wheels of our economy will move on. India will continue to walk tall, and with confidence.
Let me assure you that the Government will do whatever is required to deal with the challenge at hand. We will win this war against terror. Nothing will break our resolve.
Brothers and sisters, I urge each one of you to remain calm. Do not be provoked by rumours. Do not let anyone divide us. Our strength lies in our unity. Let us stand together as one people, as one nation. Jai Hind.``
