#317 pinku: if self-serving misrepresentations, gratuitous insults to minority religions, self-praise, and general negativity of the kind I find in posters like yourself and too many other Indians on chowk is the "Indian Identity" that you think we Pakistanis "lost" - then far from history being cruel to us, I think history has been very kind to us. And God bless Jinnah for that.

Dost Mittarjee: The reason history is so confusing to the harimaus of India is the same reason evolution is so confusing to Sarah Palins of Alaska. What are mere facts before Ideology!!

Regards.

McCain Pulls Out of Michigan
By ADAM NAGOURNEY
John McCain’s decision to cancel a campaign event in Michigan next week was not a matter of scheduling: Mr. McCain is giving up his effort to take the state back into the red column, concluding that economic distress there has simply put the state out of reach, according to Republicans familiar with the decision.

Michigan had been one of Mr. McCain’s top targets for two reasons: evidence that Barack Obama was having trouble connecting with blue-collar voters (which presumably would be a problem there), and also because the Democratic candidates did not participate in the state’s primary after Michigan defied Democratic party rules and held it earlier than permitted.

Republican officials said that polling suggested that Mr. Obama was building a lead there, and said they concluded that it wasn’t worth spending any more campaign funds – or Mr. McCain’s time – in the state.

Reforming Religious Fundamentalists

#21 Dr sahib - I think my point was not that the taliban could not express them expressed themselves sexually as children. It was the opposite - that is, that they became psychopaths as a result of having been the targets of sexual predation as children.

#19 Dr Sohail: With "why cant we all get along" Patraeus now in Afghanistan, maybe they will start having art classes and group therapy for taliban. No doubt their psychopathic behavior has much to do with their being child abused during their formative years (a common phenomenon in those parts, as is well known).

Ms. Zeena: Those are beautiful feelings you have for McCain and Palin. And of course your dislike for Mr. Obama is understandable, since we cant have a black man as US President, can we!!

I plan to vote for Obama, btw. And to watch McCain and Palin squirm like little worms when brought face to face with Obama and Biden.

Mr. Laddu: "fitting response" was the term used when Pakistn responded just as Mr. Advani was stuffing your brother laddus in Mr. Vajpayee's face in celebration of the five peaceful nuclear bombs they exploded.

#108 Mr. Eklavya: I introduced the word "All" because that is what is implied in your rule of thumb. And that is now also implied when you say that I am an exception among muslims. So, I merely verbalize what you clearly imply. And so I may have introduced the words, but you introduced the concept, Mr. Eklavya. Dont be so modest, take credit for what you say.

As for me being an exception - Everyone is an exception in some things, the norm in others, Mr. Eklavya.

Mr. Eklavya: If you said that the sun rises from the west in one post, and then that the sun rises from the east in the next one, and if someone brought this to your attention, would you also consider that to be an just an apparent contradiction?

#104 eklavya sahib:
In #101 you wrote "Hindus think completely the opposite of what Muslims and communists think on every issue.". Which is only possible if, among other things, all hindus think alike.

Now you say "it is hard to build agreement among these Hindus. " Which means all hindus dont think alike.

Very self-contradictory, na! (as ms. ana would say, and as I am sure you will agree shaking your head).

What is someone to make of what you say?

Mr. Laddu: How did you escape being eaten when Mr. Advani was stuffing your brother laddus to Mr. Vajpayee with his unwashed hands in celebration of India's 5 nuclear bomb explosions? Or were you next in line to be eaten until Pakistanis sent both of these scoundrels running with a "fitting response"??
