Most Likely may be too remote from the most dangerous. Plan for the worst and hope for the best.

(a) What do you mean by "kashmir starts heating up"? I thought it never cooled down?
India is already reinforcing troops in occupied Kashmir as HP has already explained. Conversely, Pakistan is concentrating forces on the Afghan Border and Tribal areas. This leaves a strategic imbalance for Pakistan from a defence point of view.Only India can exploit this. Remember, in 2000 mobilisations, pakistan had to denude the Afghan border to pull troops for the East to cater to Indian Threat and Cold Start. This time the roles could reverse.

(b) Who are the small fries you mention/talk about? Could you clarify this, and also whywould they have an interest in this mess?
The small fries are the non super powers and also include the non state actors. To broaden the definition, we could also include intelligence agencies that are not in State control. They form states within a state. The fries are India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran and Israel. Each country has its own agenda and could in pursuance of the objectives of an ally, overshoot. remeber Arcduke and Danzing.

(c) Why do you think another global conflagaration will result? Arent you being a tad bit OTT here?
No I am not. As an analyst I always seek the most likely and prepare for the most dangerous.

Here we are with the most recent!
1. The convoy of a Two Time Prime Minister is attacked and hundreds get killed in Karachi.
2. Pakistan's two times PM gets assasinated by somebody and in the process killing scores of individuals as colatteral damage.
3. Deputy Commissioner of Hangu is killed in an ambush along with 17 Police men.
4. Pakistan Army loses over 1000 men in FATA.
5. Over 20 people die outside Lal Masjid.
6. 11 soldiers and one officer are killed in Mohmand due to NATO Strikes.
7. A regular army past at angoor comes under direct fore from Americans.
8. India Military Attache is killed in suicide bombing.

These are all important people.

Many Pakistani soldiers and officers operating in tribal area are convinced that a large number of attacks on them lead to information that implicates other countries.

At the same time Kashmir starts heating up. I just hope that inetrvention by small fries does not lead to another global disaster.

Re: # 31
In this world of blogs and interact, most people appear with false identities and so do you. As for the contents of the profile, there is nothing fake about it, unless you suffer from syndromes that make you appear vulnerable and violated.
I reproduce here what I replied to you in the I Log.
"Pakistan Revolution was not a small idea. You feel hurt becuase it cut across your 'maglomaniacal grandiose idea' of a Bharat Versha.

Neither was Jinnah a small man, Your own Congress once called him the prophet of Hindu Muslim Unity. Its only after he smelled that communal bent did he part ways.

Despite your ill founded assertions, Pakistan has come a long way. In 1947 it had no resources. Its growth is amongst the highest now. Most to your discomfort, its a nuclear power.

As for Persian. Well our national language is Urdu that takes its heritage from Persian. For your information, in this part of Punjab,Persian instaed of Hindi was the preferred langauge. Even Sikhs and Hindus studied it.

Why did he join Muslim League. Clearly Christians in this part of the world had chosen to align with the Muslim identity. Sure you read history and also read what Gibbons and S P Singha did.

Now on the ins and outs. During the Hind Chini Bhai China was In for Nehru and he placated Tibet for Kashmir. Then came the Soviets who rubbed you for a very long time.

Why did he become Christian? Well Christians have been in the sub continent for the past 2000 years. Don't you know this?

As a gentleman you should have directed your observations on the I Log and not on a page of centrifuges, if at all you claim to be that cultured. Your criticism and uneasiness betray your communal biases.

Be Blessed

arjun,
while you waste time collecting crap from the dustbins scoring brownies, whatever I state is based on facts. Ask your own likes of Shekar Gupta, Ashley Tellis and Jaswanth Singh and you would know the facts.

truth100,
I would prefer you address the issue on my I Log. No point here. I know my being a non muslim irks your thesis of Salariat, but who cares. Christians in 1947 opted to be part of Pakistan and we feel proud of it.

By the way, some nergy saver bulbs emit above normal levels of gamma radiation that can cause burns and cancers. So be aware.

AQ Khan would not have a clue about fusion beacuse its a multi staged device he had nothing to do with.
It uses a miniaturiesed boosted weapon system (plotonium based) to get the right thermo temperature and in the second stage carries out fusion of isotopes using the thermo dynamics.
India tried one at Pokhran but it did not work.

Its all bullshit to put the motivations of acquiring nuclear technology to where they belong.

AQ Khan was a mere enrichment supervisor and had nothing else to do wth the weaponisation of the technology. As for the enrichment of Uranium, the technology was smuggled from Europe and developed through connections with the illicit trade. The world is full of these stories. Just read CRITICAL MASS.

As for fission and fusion, Pakistan is far ahead of India in Both. India has an edge at the Orissa Thorium Reactor, but that may be a very difficult threshold to cross.
Anti-Americanism in Pakistan and the Taliban Menace

Forgotten President & Shape of Things to Come?

This latest clean up operation is neither here nor there. It will achieve nothing. Mangal Bagh was popped up to protect Nato/US supply lines. He also appeared to be anti taliban. Now all taliban have called of peace negotiations with the government for action against. If they were opponents, then why?

As for peace talks by ANP? Never possible without blessings of USA.

Its the same old story of the horse, cart and the bull and as confusing and complicated as it can get.

Romair,
I am disappointed and amazed by your theory of a hybrid country. When the going gets tough, the tuff get going.
