Obama is Better for Jinnah\'s Pakistan
TNI has probably realized how wrong he has been about American Capitalist Democracy which has proved once again that it is a system that works and works much better than ideological dreams of Hizbut tahrir, Masadis and the Commies.
Most commies I know are very dismayed by what they feel is a great victory for American capitalist system.

The only people unhappy about Obama are Musharraf's old guard really...and this too is merely a guess ...

Most Pakistanis are genuinely happy about Obama. Most Pakistanis genuinely believe that this will bring some sanity to the world. The only people unhappy about Obama are Musharraf's old guard really...and this too is merely a guess ...

I have discussed this matter in detail. You may revisit the complete discussion on my article on Sir Zafrullah. Needless to say an honest person would not be blinded by their own prejudice...so I leave it to you to decide if you are one or not.
Let us stick to the issue at hand- Obama, his remarkable victory and its significance for all those forces which want democratic change in their countries.

1. American Democracy works
2. American Capitalism will survive and thrive
3. The only road to progressive change is through democratic capitalism.
4. Masadi was wrong.
5. Masadi is wrong.
6. Masadi will always be wrong.

We can all agree on the following:1. American Democracy works
2. American Capitalism will survive and thrive
3. The only road to progressive change is through democratic capitalism.
4. Masadi was wrong.
5. Masadi is wrong.
6. Masadi will always be wrong.

Anyway have fun all of you and have a good election day and results night. Apparently CNN is coming up with some sort of holographic imaging (though not the actual kind) which should be exciting.
And let's wish Obama luck... for this has been a long time comin'.

Obama said he would take unilateral action against Ossama Bin Laden and other Al Qaeda leaders. He never said he would bomb Pakistan.
The question of sovereignty is unimportant when the combatants being attacked don't recognize the national sovereignty of Pakistan either.

I feel sorry for you and I don't care much for your anecdotal evidence of "your relatives" and other such crap. I have already proved all these claims to be lies and don't feel the need to repeat myself. You may revisit those debates.
Similarly in 1947 the genocide was carried out almost exclusively in Gurdaspur region by the Hindus and Sikhs and this too is recorded in history. This too has been discussed to death.
It is a great irony that people like you distort history shamelessly.

Well said. Probably why Gandhi considered all Black people subhuman (there you have it Majumdar:))
Nkg,
The whole direct action day issue has been discussed to death. You may revisit some of the previous ones to see why you are utterly and totally wrong and need to come out of your Hindu-centric world view.
Other than that I have nothing further to say to someone as prejudiced and ignorant as you.

I wonder what drives people to post such drivel...you have a self proclaimed intellectual (btw can someone tell me what the f-k TNI stands for?) in a pitch-fork battle with geniuses from across the border ... all trying to prove that they've got it right and the other person is "delusional".
Something is very wrong with this picture. Masadi is certifiable... but most of the Indians here have some sort of deep seated emotional insecurity which causes them to act the way they do.
Thank you. I have nothing more to say on this topic except that Pakistan will survive...but all of you need therapy or a life...or both.

The ideal situation is:
Marginal propensity to save has to rise to .20 and to consume has to go down to .80.
This has long been the best combo for long term sustainable economic growth.
Chaltahai,
What have I said different btw? You've repeated all that I have said essentially ...
Infact I did not even put up IMF as a solution. I think Pakistan can easily raise up to 40 billion if the policy makers don't let politics come in the way.

Less popular and just causes...
Ras,
This is the finest cause there is. World must be freed of irrational superstitions that Gandhi embodied.
Masanamuthu,
Glad to see you agreeing on the issue of Khilafat movement atleast.
You should read "ironies of history: khilafat movement" by Hamza Alavi- a well known and well respected historian in both India and the West.
What I have said and what Majumdar is very clear. It is certainly not that taliban are non-violent "gandhians" or resemble Gandhi in anyway other than their distaste for progress. Nor have we said that there were no jehadis before Gandhi... However historic antecedents must be clear.
I suggest you go back to what Majumdar actually said. I stand by my conclusions in 169.

That is neither here nor there.
Indeed if you read my post 169 you would see that some of these groups had become Gandhi's frankenstein monster during his lifetime.
As a rule out of control frankenstein monsters don't distinguish between their makers and other people.
In many ways the Jurassic Park 1 2 and 3 and Richard Attenborough (the maker of Gandhi the movie) in it is a much better and more accurate movie on Gandhi's life.
Richard Attenborough's character in Jurassic Park is obvious equivalent of Gandhi.
And the Raptors and Rex etc are equivalents of Islamic and Hindu fundamentalism which Gandhi-unwittingly- spawned.

We've already shown that taliban were created by the mufti mahmood faction which was the dominant group and pro congress.
You haven't even told us which jamiat e ulema are you talking about because governor is certainly not talking about Usmani's let alone establish a link.
First make up your mind or get it checked.

No we don't. We don't know who the governor is talking about... But we certainly know he is not talking about Usmani's breakaway faction which supported the League. The credit for Taliban goes to Mufti Mahmood and his son and his disciple ...who have an unbroken historical continuity with the Congress.
