Pakistan can become a modern atheist state if General Parvez Musharraf may take the following actions:

1. Musharraf Government must recognize Israeli state without further delay, it will increase image of General Musharraf as non-believer of religion like Turk Govt.

2. Political leader of India Mr. BAL THAKREY must pay visit to Military academies of the country, and should be requested to give lecture on failure of two-nation theory. The statements of Bal Thakrey are almost same as of General Musharraf?s cabinet ministers are giving to press.

3. Immediately remove slogans of Army adopted by General Zia, irritating words like Eiman, Taqva and Jihad. Modern slogans may be adopted.

4. Names of famous fundamentalist Muslim warriors may be removed from textbooks like Ali, Khalid, Tariq, Osama, Qasim, Tipu, and Salahuddin. Also peoples must be stopped to naming their children?s.

5. All the mosques must be demolished and in every city only one mosque should be allowed, Army Chief of Pakistan must approve khutba.

6. All fundamentalists and Pro-Islam journalists may be hanged or sent out of country. These are the actual hurdles against Pak Army thoughts of modernization. Benazir Bhutto, Altaf Hosain, Wali Khan and Air Marshall Asgher Khan are the real devotees of Pak army cause to over through Islam from Pakistan.

7. Name of the country like Islamic Republic of Pakistan seems to be a terrorist name; it must be changed with some modern name like Non Believer Pakistan, Atheist Pakistan or Anti religion Pakistan. Name Pakistan also seems to be an old fashioned name, General Musharraf and other Army Generals must request Mir Shakil ur Rehman of Jang group of Newspapers to form a committee of modern philosophers like Irshad Ahmad Haqqani, Husain Haqqani and Maleeha Lodhi to suggest a modern name.

8. Present cabinet is an excellent cabinet like Abdul Sattar, Moeen Haider, Shokuit Aziz and all others these may be put on contract for another ten years as ministers.

9. Peoples which are shouting against Government must be dealt with Iron hands, it was very bad show when International media like BBC, CNN, ABC and CBC shows Muslims saying "General Musharraf Son of Bitch" General Musharraf Kutta (Dog) or "Dog of Bush -- General Musharraf", also showing kicking effigy of General Musharraf and with legs and spitting on it.

10. Govt. is spending dollars to purchase moulvees, it is a good idea, but beware Tahir ul Qadri can change its faithfulness; he previously received money from Nawaz Shariff and Abbaji and then ran away.

11. The secret of keeping strong Government is to reduce two-three and four star Generals immediately. Any one can be fundamentalist and if Baba George Bush will become angry then he will not forgive loans, may be stopped aid, which can put us in trouble. However as per reports of Jang Group of Newspapers all the Generals recently promoted are Anti Islam, they are moderate, watch Mujra (Songs) and will be very helpful in atheist country as Ata Turk prepared.

12. All literature containing material which reminds that this country was made in Allah's name should be banned. People must forget that the foundations of this country was based on Islam.

13. Secularism must be promoted at all costs. The large amount of budget spent on the Defence expenditure must be spent on secular teachings.

These are only some of the steps by which we can attain the path to the glory.

CALCUTTA–On a busy street in Calcutta's business district, he runs a food stall called "Rajib's Paratha" and is known as Rajib Mallick.

Using the popular Hindu name, no one suspects he is Rajab Ali Mollah, a Muslim who has adopted a fictitious identity to blend in with the neighbourhood's mostly Hindu office workers.

Sohrab Hossain, a Muslim student who came to the city to complete his Masters degree in English and lives in a Hindu-dominated housing complex, is known as Sourav Das among the students he tutors. To keep up his Hindu appearance he has a small idol of Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of learning, on his desk.

Every morning as she prepares to go to work as a fishmonger, Hasina Khatoon takes off her silver armband embossed with "Allah" in Arabic, puts vermillion powder on her forehead and red-white conch bangles on her wrist – symbols of a married Hindu woman – to maintain a Hindu appearance in a fish market where almost all of her customers are Hindus.

Rajab Mollah, Sohrab Hossain and Hasina Khatoon say they have adopted new identities in a Hindu-majority society where as Muslims they would face discrimination.

Analysts say many Muslims from all socio-economic backgrounds are quietly hiding their religious affiliation.

"Muslims in almost all spheres of life face a communal discrimination by powerful Hindus and they are denied many of their basic rights and freedom in an unjustified way," said Anjan Basu, a social analyst and executive editor of Pratidin, a Bengali daily in Calcutta.

Six decades after Partition, "many (Hindus) believe that Pakistan was created for Muslims and now they do not have right to live in India, which is meant for Hindus."

The Partition of India 60 years ago was a highly controversial arrangement, and remains a cause of much tension on the subcontinent today.

Basu, who is a Hindu, also said discrimination has been "institutionalized," with many Muslims being denied employment in government and private-sector offices where 90 to 95 per cent jobs are held by Hindus.

Gautam Ray, a senior journalist with Calcutta's largest Bengali daily Anandabazar Patrika, said that since the bulk of the dalits (low-caste Hindus or so-called Untouchables) converted to Islam when the religion spread in India, many upper-caste Hindus look down on Muslims as they had for generations looked down on dalits.

"The root of this communal discrimination is deeply entrenched in the society and most of these communal Hindus are not expected to change their feeling for Muslims any time soon," said Ray, who is also an upper-caste Hindu. "Muslims are often denied housing in Hindu-dominated modern residential complexes," he added.

"This communal discrimination against Muslims will not end unless Hindus themselves change their attitude. But we do not see hope of any such positive social change anytime soon."

Muslims who adopted fake Hindu identities believe they did nothing wrong by hiding their original identities.

"Ten years ago, when my house and land in the village was eaten up by a river and I came to Calcutta in search of a job, almost all street shops and restaurants in the city refused to employ me because I was a Muslim," Mollah said.

"Some said their Hindu customers could refuse to eat at their restaurants if a Muslim worked there," he said.

"But I met a Muslim man who worked under a Hindu identity to supply water to restaurants. I followed his advice, picked up a Hindu identity and soon an upper-class Hindu employed me to run a food stall."

Nearly all of Mollah's customers are Hindus and he fears his business would suffer disastrously if his customers found out he is a Muslim.

"I don't think I have done anything wrong because I know how they hate Muslims simply because of their religion," he added.

A federal commission recently found that Muslims "live in socio-economic conditions worse than many so-called backward tribal people," according to commission chief Rajendra Sachar, a former judge.

In the state of West Bengal, where the Muslim community makes up 27 per cent of the population, employment of Muslims in the government sector was below 3 per cent, the Sachar Commission reported.

Some Muslim leaders see education as the key to a better future.

"If the younger generation can educate themselves, it will be difficult for even the most communal Hindus to discriminate against a new Muslim force," said Nazrul Islam, a senior public servant and noted Calcutta writer.

"Maybe discrimination will not be wiped out completely, but an educated and powerful community of Muslims will be able to fight off the injustice, at least to a good extent."

It has been said that Jinnah chose Lincoln's Inn because he saw the Prophet's name at the entrance. I went to Lincoln's Inn looking for the name on the gate, but there is no such gate nor any names. There is, however, a gigantic mural covering one entire wall in the main dining hall of Lincoln's Inn. Painted on it are some of the most influential lawgivers of history, like Moses and, indeed, the holy Prophet of Islam, who is shown in a green turban and green robes. A key at the bottom of the painting matches the names to the persons in the picture. Jinnah, I suspect, was not deliberately concealing the memory of his youth but recalling an association with the Inn of Court half a century after it had taken place. He had remembered there was a link, a genuine appreciation of Islam. Had those who have written about Jinnah's recollection bothered to visit Lincoln's Inn the mystery would have been solved. However, knowledge of the pictorial depiction of the holy Prophet would certainly spark protests; demands from the active British Muslim community for the removal of the painting would be heard in the UK.

According to SIU public relations office report on Friday, In the 14th IMC which was held in Blagoevgrad University, Bulgaria, 140 teams from 36 reputable universities competed on 3-9 August, 2007.

In the competition, Iran grabbed six gold, one silver and one bronze medals and ranked third after teams from Hungry and Russia which took first and second ranks respectively.

On the occasion of the Opening Ceremony

The State Bank of Pakistan on 1st July, 1948.






"Mr. Governor, Directors of State Bank, Ladies and Gentlemen.
The
opening of the State Bank of Pakistan symbolises the sovereignty
of our State in the financial sphere and I am very glad to
be here today to perform the opening ceremony. It was not
considered feasible to start a Bank of our own simultaneously
with the coming into being of Pakistan in August last year.
A good deal of preparatory work must precede the inauguration
of an institution responsible for such technical and delicate
work as note issue and banking. To allow for this preparation,
it was provided, under the Pakistan Monetary System and Reserve
Bank Order, 1947, that the Reserve Bank of India should continue
to be the currency and banking authority of Pakistan till
the 30th September, 1948. Later on it was felt that it would
be in the best interests of our State if the Reserve Bank
of India were relieved of its functions in Pakistan, as early
as possible. The State of transfer of these functions to a
Pakistan agency was consequently advanced by three months
in agreement with the Government of India and the Reserve
Bank. It was at the same time decided to establish a Central
Bank of Pakistan in preference to any other agency for managing
our currency and banking. This decision left very little time
for the small band of trained personnel in this field in Pakistan
to complete the preliminaries and they have by their untiring
effort and hard work completed their task by the due date
which is very creditable to them, and I wish to record a note
of our appreciation of their labours.

As
you have observed, Mr. Governor in undivided India banking
was kept a close preserve of non-Muslims and their migration
from Western Pakistan has caused a good deal of dislocation
in the economic life of our young State. In order that the
wheels of commerce and industry should run smoothly, it is
imperative that the vacuum caused by the exodus of non-Muslims
should be filled without delay. I am glad to note that schemes
for training Pakistan nationals in banking are in hand. I
will watch their progress with interest and I am confident
that the State Bank will receive the co-operation of all concerned
including the banks and Universities in pushing them forward.
Banking will provide a new and wide field in which the genius
of our young men can find full play. I am sure that they will
come forward in large numbers to take advantage of the training
facilities which are proposed to be provided. While doing
so, they will not only be benefiting themselves but also contributing
to the well-being of our State.
I
need hardly dilate on the important role that the State Bank
will have to play in regulating the economic life of our country.
The monetary policy of the bank will have a direct bearing
on our trade and commerce, both inside Pakistan as well as
with the outside world and it is only to be desired that your
policy should encourage maximum production and a free flow
of trade. The monetary policy pursued during the war years
contributed, in no small measure, to our present day economic
problems. The abnormal rise in the cost of living has hit
the poorer sections of society including those with fixed
incomes very hard indeed and is responsible to a great extent
for the prevailing unrest in the country. The policy of the
Pakistan Government is to stabilise prices at a level that
would be fair to the producer, as well as the consumer. I
hope your efforts will be directed in the same direction in
order to tackle this crucial problem with success.
I
shall watch with keenness the work of your Research Organization
in evolving banking practices compatible with Islamic ideas
of social and economic life. The economic system of the West
has created almost insoluble problems for humanity and to
many of us it appears that only a miracle can save it from
disaster that is not facing the world. It has failed to do
justice between man and man and to eradicate friction from
the international field. On the contrary, it was largely responsible
for the two world wars in the last half century. The Western
world, in spite of its advantages, of mechanization and industrial
efficiency is today in a worse mess than ever before in history.
The adoption of Western economic theory and practice will
not help us in achieving our goal of creating a happy and
contended people.  We must work our destiny in our own
way and present to the world an economic system based on true
Islamic concept of equality of manhood and social justice.
We will thereby be fulfilling our mission as Muslims and giving
to humanity the message of peace which alone can save it and
secure the welfare, happiness and prosperity of mankind.
May
the Sate Bank of Pakistan prosper and fulfil the high ideals
which have been set as its goal.
In
the end I thank you, Mr. Governor, for the warm welcome given
to me by you and your colleagues, and the distinguished guests
who have graced this occasion as a mark of their good wishes
and the honour your have done me in inviting me to perform
this historic opening ceremony of the State Bank which I feel
will develop into one of our greatest national institutions
and play its part fully throughout the world."

Pakistan-US Policies
Treasury and opposition parliamentarians Wednesday kept on their criticism at the American attack threats to Pakistan and also remarks from an American Presidential hopeful to attack the Holy Cities.

The National Assembly, Lower House, continued debate on the anti-Pakistan statements from the U.S presidential candidates, and the several members asked the government to quit the US-led coalition.

The lawmakers said there is no need to be afraid of the U.S as its boat is now "sinking".

They also criticized the U.S aid to Pakistan which has been linked to its performance against terrorists.

Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq Haqqani of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam said the U.S is creating unrest in this region to serve its interests.

He said a conspiracy is being hatched against the country and due to President Musharraf's policies the entire nation has been suffering.

"We are shedding blood of our own people by branding them as terrorists, which is regrettable".

He underlined the need of dissociating Pakistan from international alliance against terrorism.

The ruling party member Ejaz Ahmad Chaudhry said that the U.S destroys the country it befriends."The fate of Shah of Iran and Saddam Hussain is a lesson for others".

He said the U.S has been badly defeated in Iraq as it was defeated in Vietnam."The US presidential candidates who are issuing irresponsible statement against Muslim holy places should be declared in-competent for the post".

MNA warned that no Muslim can tolerate attack on Muslim holy places of Makkah and Madina.

He called for handing over power to democratic forces.

Maulana Fazal-e-Subhan of Mutahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) said that operation in Tribal Areas against the local people and in Lal Masjid were carried out to appease the United States and the government has made unsafe country's western borders due to its wrong policies.

He said in result of these wrong policies a gap has been made between the people and the army and Pakistan has gone into isolation.

Qari Gul Rehman of MMA stressed the need to improve relations with neighbouring countries and called for convening joint session of the both House to formulate a foreign police that could protect Pakistan's interests.

Dr. Farida Ahmed of MMA criticised the foreign policy and said due to the weaknesses Pakistan is facing threats.

She urged to convene a conference of the Islamic countries to devise a common strategy to safeguard the interests of Muslims and holy places.

Dr. Farid Ahmed Piracha of Jamaat-e-Islami emphasized the need to strengthen Pakistani relations with the Muslim, Asian and African countries and adopt policies that could help promote peace at international level.

He said the parliament has never been taken into confidence by framing foreign policies that is being run by a single person and it only aims to protect American interests that need to be revised.

Maulana Muhammad Khan Sheerani of MMA in his speech proposed revision of ties with the United States and said it is working to promote its own agenda as the International Court of Justice in 1986 had declared America as the only terrorist State when it ruined Nicaragua.

He emphasized the need to make Pakistan more active in the regional cooperation organizations and work for promotion of peace.
