Good on ya Bangladesh!
In my opinion many punjabi's were pro-musharraf until very recently. What changed was May 12th...
But I agree with you on authorities turning a complete blind eye to afghani criminal activities, mqm's no-go-area's could not have been anything like Al-Asif Square in their wildest dreams.

However, I agree with a lot of the things he said regarding Israel and Iran's nuclear program. I don't really have much of a problem with the questioning of the holocaust either, I think its pretty retarded but its not as "evil" as the american media makes it out to be.
But when this islamofascist maa lund starts talking about freedom speech its pretty insulting and thing about no homos in Iran was pretty LOLful, surely he isn't that much of a chutiya?

I despise this guy and think he's a choot for his treatment of liberal dissidents and those who critiscize the "revolution". The Transformation of the Punjabi Man: Pashtunization or Militarization?
"It's ridiculous to see that in Pakistan Utter Perdeshis and Bihharis have become cohorts whereas in India an Utter Perdeshi won't probably shake hands of any Bihari, let alone Memons etc."
You are so full of shit its not even funny. Care to provide some proof of this? and no anectodal evidence does not count.
"This marriage of convenience won't last the establishment of the Jinnahpur. We'd then see things like Bihari QM and Memon QM."
You idiot most of the leadership of the MQM is second generation they don't know anything about their villages in up or bihar whats more important is whether you're from nazimabad or lalukhet, and mohajir/urdu speaking is practically homogeneous at this point with very slight variaton according to regional affiliation.

Good article, balanced. Much better than that "OMGZZZ FASCISTZZZ" crap. MQM have their votebank in southern sindh in their pocket and its theirs until a more reasonable alternative comes up. However, their expansion into the rest of the country is now more unlikely than ever before.

And you think supporting a corrupt chief justice surrounded by corrupt political leaders is gonna help Pakistan?
Are you also deluded enough to think that these people have any intention of taking on the military's role in politics?
If the Chief Justice gave a shit about democracy, why did he not declare musharrafs regime to be illegal before he was in danger of losing his job?

Tahmed32, ethnic affiliations have nothing to do with the fact that the "demonstrators" were hooligans armed to the teeth and anything but peaceful.

As much as I despise the islamofascists, suicide bombing is a perfectly legitimate tactic when the enemy is much better equipped. As long as the insurgency in the NWFP continues to target the army I have no problems (while still wanting to see these people dead).
