Of Medical Students, Passports and Religous Tolerance
Posted by Faylasuf Jul 23, 2008 02:10 am
Whenever some thing goes wrong with Pakistan or Muslims in General, Why is it always termed as a conspiracy by Jews or Christians? No Jews/Christian conspiracy is needed to kill or cause disturbance at least in Pakistan. Pakistanis are well versed in the art of self destruction.

RE #370
Masadi, I can only term your post as a case of flawed perception.

And since majmudar is not available you would not be able to rationalize or understand, I can see you are frustrated because of “chowk staff” and whatever has happened with yr post/ilogs.

Re # 333

Masadi sahib is talkin bout moral clarity! Hmmmm

Masadi, M not “trying to morally equate” any one, did u even try to read or understand what I had written? Or it’s only that you love to criticize and fight with every second person other then your own self?

p.s. Majumdar sahib, I was only wunderin y masadi is so impressed by you that he has eventually started giving your name as a reference :)

Karachi’s Plastic Bag Ban
Posted by Faylasuf Apr 6, 2007 12:14 am

I am with Azure and agree that

``The uneducated need to be told what `above 30 microns weight` actually means.``

I d like to add here that those responsible to ensure that this 30 micron ban is being actually followed should also be educated.

But with out any micron meter who or what is the authority? is there ne one who can tell what is the micron level of ne bag simply by touching or holding the bag??

Has ne one tried to actually explain why 30 microns? Or for that matter what actually is meant by 30 micron?

Imagine just for a sec.. the plight of a thela wala selling goods and being pushed by the local enforcers of law!

Re: # 8This ban on plastic bags, along with a total ban on the hideous and lethargic shalwar/qameez outfits, will definitely contribute to the beautification of Karachi.

Mr. Salim, could you please elaborate a bit on hideous and lethargic shalwar/qameez outfits ?

Tony i agree with Nadia, do watch out what you eat @ Mosques, once your dissertation is over i.e.

flash back of people throwing stones on KFC? but that never was fun, burning was!

burning KFC used to be a hobby in that block but unfortunately KFC management decided to deprive the locals of all the fun! How Mean!!
thus the locals shifted focus towards Pizza hut, and another one did bite the dust ;)

I feel that the city nazim should arrange for sum sort of activity center here in Karachi (eventually in Lahore and islo as well) where ppl could burn up a building as and when they feel like doing it! i mean there v been times like the Wapda KESC fiasco and allwe would be able to avoid all resultant traffic jams and financial losses too!

You wrote..

can we have your mobile phone and your wallet please << I cudnt understand why would you leave that other cell phone, ipod and the pack of cig from the list?

p.s. guess what.. Pizza hut is finally back and the famous 299* is back as well! >:)

No doubt an interesting read,

we all know that the expiry date of the long term memory of our gen public is very short and with the tendency to get emotional and hyper every now and then there is no doubt that the moulvi rocks and wud keep rocking!

hope to see more from you.

Nice piece of work G.R. Khan, and a witty title indeed.

@teshah - Z.A.B is referred to as an evil genius..or rather say a genius who used his intelect negatively
do u hav ne idea why he did all of that?

@M.M.Imran- imran sb i do respect yr opinion and well i wz among those who felt that u vr comin too hard on the Army, i v persnly knwn ppl in the institution n they vr not the canibls the articl projected em as, so i said wht i felt.

i dont really disagree with the faults and after readin yr piece i did actually started takin note of the events more closely and well i agree that things are gettin scarier day by day. bt wht practicl altrnativ solution do v hav? politicians?the moulvi?

the other day i wz talkin to a friend an the topic came up
Gen Mushy is eatin up evy thing, thrz loads of corruption n every thing..
c v can think for a moment..ok take away mushy...then...choose the best answer

The Art of Eating Gulab Jamun
Posted by Faylasuf Aug 1, 2006 05:33 am
An over rated GJ is what i d refer to it as!
One GJ and we are talkin about sum heavenly experience referring to it as epicurean delight of the highest order!
i mean are we talkin bout a simple and sane gulab jamun or a doze of Marijuana/Ecstacy?

ok ok! i accept, dint mean to offend ne one, its a nicely done article :)
The Mafia

Hi all

I was jst goin thru the articl n had to stop after reading rashed`s comments..

``everything, including art is becoming extremely commercialized``

..let me thinK about ...about the accros border FILAM industry..hmm..oh Ok they do have ``bollywood`` and its really goin places! now let me ask u.. bout the existence of Mafia in indi film indstry...youd say to ur self..hmmm yea its very much there!

.. when talkin bout the huge volume of business or the quality(yes its D-batebl).. Even though v cant really compare it..i v sum how started comparin the paki pop industry(which is comin out of infancy now) with the indi film industry..an u know wht...it has similarities

..mafia or no mafia..if u v got wht it takes...u ll definetly make a difference

Now coming towards few more interesting comments...yes m talkin bout words of wisdom from one of our Pardesi chowkies

``As far as singers or musicians (if you want to call them) they are the most pathetic of all``

...i wz a bit shocked...i really respect persnl opinion..i can understand your feelings if you are talkin bout a specific genre or individual..and m not being bias...but come on! do you really/honestly think like that!

peace

p.s. hey pardesi..r u really ``pardesi``?
if u R or R not.. do u really knw whts happenin..do u really feel dt u qualify to post negative comments about a flourishin industry!

P.P.S. naahh m not part of ne mafia nor am i a singer/musician/director/producer/vj/stylist etc etc
