How Pakistan Killed My Father
Saeed Shiekh Sahib,
My deepest condolence on your tragic loss. I am really sorry to hear about your dad's death as a result of gross incompetence on the part of some who are just waiting for a green card to abscond to the US to mint money. May you overcome your tragedy and learn to forgive these quacks for their selfishness and their preoccupation with getting rich.

Salim Saab - Thanks for your comments about Musharraf and other Pakistani Generals who killed thousands of their own countrymen. You are obviously a dishonest person as most Pakistanis are. "}
Dude Saab,
Thank you for your kind comment. Speaking of honesty, I noticed that you have been a member since April 18, 2009 but haven't signed in since December 31, 1969. You are either a committed procrastinator or a habitual joiner. :)

Salim Saab - So, do you think Musharraf should be tried in Hague? "}
Dude Sahib,
I don't think that Mushy is in the same league as Milosevic, Kradjic, Mladic, Sadman Houston, or Modi. I think that he needs to be tried in Pakistan for his crimes against the Constitution and gross mismanagement. I don't think he was a mass murderer - a bit more serious than Narsima Rao's corruption, but not as grotesque as Modi's mass slaughter.

As a followup to your quoting of Muslim transgression, as if they occurred in a vacuum, let me present to you how you deliberately try not to be confused by facts. You accuse Pakistan of cross-border terrorism, but never acknowledge that India started the concept in South Asia with the Mukhti Bahini and LTTE.

Jang,
Mohammed Bin Qasim was 1400 years ago. Ghaznavi was 1100 years ago, and Ghori was 1200 years ago, so I have a ways to go to match your own sense of victimhood.
As for the armenian genocide, it is almost comical how many Indians like you act like parrots when it comes to western Christian mantra - but then mantra is ingrained in your psyche.
The Armenian massacres need to be discussed for sure. The discussion should be within the context of the early 20th century - WWI, Balkan Wars, the massacres in Abkhazia and Ajaria, the suppression of Chechens by Russians, and the slaughter of Muslims in the Balkans and Crete. You need to practice some objectivity, but then that was never your objective, was it?

At least a legal case has been filed against Advani
Its still better than not even a single legal case against Musharraf for the lal Masjid massacre or other countless civilian deaths caused by helicopter gunships in Swat and other areas. "}
Dude Chaalees Hazaar Sahib,
Thank you for the kind comment and the optimistic news regarding Advani.
I agree with you about the rotten deals made with Musharraf and his amazing audacity at not being held accountable for numerous crimes and violations - kidnapping, profiteering, lying, engineering a coup d'etat, and wanton disregard for civilian deaths. Thanks.

TOP: You are innocent until proven guilty
No court of law has proven them guilty as yet
Legal process in India moves at snail's pace - one furlong per fortnight
It will take many many years, perhaps decades to bring them to trial
Until then they can rule, run for re-election, even brag about their "unproven" crimes
Were they proven GUILTY? If NO, go back to TOP
Appeal verdict
Defame witnesses
Accuse judges of bias
Take the case to the public
Run for election again
Return to TOP
LOL - Only in the WORLD'S GREATEST DEMOCRACY. :)

Dear Hindu-Sikh,
Pakistan has many faults and it's difficult for its people, media, or even government to ignore them. You will find Pakistanis to be very critical of our nation, our government, our military, and even our cricket team. This is of course just tough love - what our parents do to drive us to be smarter, brighter, more successful. It has its drawbacks such as immediate lack of self-confidence and a constant feeling of guilt. But, hopefully, it translates into reform, progress, and maybe even success. The recent victory by the Pak cricket team is a positive affirmation of this approach.
While we may be overly self-critical, we do manage to circle the wagons when external criticism, especially Indian, is freely expressed in our presence. This causes us to unite and sometimes give license to certain elements when such liberty is not warranted. :)

I wrote this article as a desire for fiscal accountability from our Pak army. My intention was to make the Pak army stronger and more effective by becoming popular, professional, and credible once again. This is even more necessary now as they are in the midst of containing an open rebellion by bloodthirsty and cruel rebels who are committed to anarchy disguised as "Islamic" rule.
Of course, the right-wing Hindutva types have turned this discussion into labeling me a traitor to Pakistan, an ill-wisher of India, and a target of religious, secular, and democratic self-righteousness. :) If you notice, there is nothing anti-Indian in this article. We must bring the erratic Indians back to the reservation. :)
