Mr jayp!
People who have never been to pakistan and dont even understand the meaning of word "jihad" are the first to comment on islam!
By "concerns of the world" if u mean USA and india then we all know about their interests in Afghanistan and their role in making the situation worse in tribal areas ... they are the master minds behind all this....these tribal people lived here for centuries but never attacked anyone...please so some research on this and u will find the differnce between facts and fiction!

Fatima Jinnah Park – Metaphor for Pakistan\'s Problems and their Solution

I am a regular visitor of Fatima Jinnah park and love the place...i was irritated when saw the Macdonalds at first and all the construction going on in the middle is truly a hazard for us all ....But
do u think it was better to have a jungle there ...we know there was jungle like vegetation all over the place except for the roads we used to walk on....i think it may look better with neat lawns, benches, more sports fecilities and some nice man-made scenes!!!

why is it that when a blast takes place in pakistan and innocent people are dead i dont find people pointing fingers at neighbours and no one is sympathatic towards the dead and injured and no criticism on the investigation ...... why is it that we are responsible for our miseries and also for the others` miseries too!!!!
Emerging City of the World

It was very nice to read about the city where i grew up....you are right abu dhabi corniche was my favorite spot in the city too and i have seen the old corniche too when i was a kid....and with no water break in sight strong waves used to hit the shore. Its a rich city build by poor and thats the way life is .....the people who build a place do not live in it....i still remember tens of Pakistani pathan labrors sitting and waiting for their buses near the signals and they were always there when we used togo to school early morning.
Regading food i think apart from international food chains its the labanese shawrma which is everybody`s favorite. I still miss labanese food....but the local people of abu dhabi are very nice and humble. In 1980s we hardly saw the locals ....it was only the expats who lived in the city and locals preferred to live in their big open houses a little outside the city centre. Now things have changed a lot.
Proud Pakistani?

when i went to get my MRP in ISB...i thought the process was very smooth and trouble free. We got our passports exactly on the mentioned date with no mistakes!!
I hope u get a chance to deal with INS and then u will forget counting days ....but that will be for getting a green card rather than a green passport.

South Asian Earthquake: Don’t care… or don’t know?

Re: # 38
You shud have appreciated the jihadis when they were putting their lives at risk to help the quake affected ppl....jihad does not mean to kill innocent people so please call them(the people behind the blast) by the name of their organization and not JIHADIS....
thanks.

The Ground Beneath Pakistan’s Feet

A nice piece of writing which shows u r a regular viewer of all these channels. But i still agree that these quakes showed the supreme power of Allah and none of his actions are without a reason....let the reason be azaab, imtihaan, rehmat or azmayeish. But u can not deny that Allah shook all of us (and is still shaking) without any motive.....He says in Quran
``And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He (Allah) pardons much.`` [Soorah al-Shoorah (42): 30]
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (radhi allahu anhu): ``Allah`s Messenger (sallalalhu alaihi wa-sallam) said: ``When... property given in trust is treated as spoil, Zakaat is looked on as a tax, learning is acquired for other than a religious purpose, a man obeys his wife and is unkind towards his mother, he brings his friend near and drives his father far off, voices are raised in the mosques, the most wicked member of a tribe becomes its ruler, the most worthless member of a people becomes its leader, a man is honored through fear of the evil he may do, singing-girls and stringed instruments make their appearance, wines are drunk, and the last members of this people curse the first ones, look at that time for a violent wind, an earthquake, being swallowed up by the earth, metamorphosis, pelting rain, and signs following one another like bits of a necklace falling one after the other when its string is cut.`` [at-Tirmidhee (5450)]
``Don`t they see that they are put in trial once or twice every year (with different kinds of calamities, disease, famine)? Yet, they turn not in repentance, nor do they learn a lesson.`` [Soorah at-Tawbah (9): 126]
