No...Proly it has changed for the better now. What Tahmed Sahib says has lots of truth in it. Brahmins might not have been the only caste to discriminate but they were the movers/leaders behind the idea.

Dravidians could have been fairer as naturally as what made other tribes fairer. Sridevi, to my knowledge, is not a Brahmin. There are a whole lot of Dravidians of non-Brahmin backgrounds who are lighter in complexion. Infact these days I see the non-Brahmins fairer than the Brahmins in the south, possibly due to the new found affluence.
