Burqa Vaganza – A Satirical Backlash
They always used women for their own sexual & lusty satisfaction as ``Model Girl``
Please keep in mind `Hijab`` is never be the part of any culture. It is clear direction of Allah & nothing else.
No matter what the Ghalib say & it keeps no worth, if u endoreced Ghalib. We have to keep follow the Quran & Sunna.
Burqa Veginza is the out come of ill mentalilty & extremism of so called `Enlightened Persons``
If any prostitute used Burqa it doesn`t mean that Burqa is wrong, similarly if u are an educated person & u r aethist or liberal or secular or so called enlightened moderater, it doesn`t reflect that all educated persons are like u (Alhamdollilah)
Kiran ny ! Who told u that ``Mullah`` are not talking about ``women rights`` but definition of ur aspirations & actual need is different. The six Ulema committee have presented a complete document to Shujaat about Women right, but nudeness, vulgartity, mix gender gatherings are the wishes which are the true example of narrow appraches & mindness of `Liberals`
Kiran wrote ``Islam gives you the freedom to do what you can``, who told u that Islam give the freedom to do what u want to do on the name of `no compulsions`. No madam nopes, there are certain boundaries which u have to adapt, Muslim means ``Obedience` not ``Mr.Gill``.
The current write up of Mr. Gill is the true reflection of his `extremism` which is dangerous for healthy society.

Saleem ! Basically u r confused & people like Nazar Hyat Khan also confused & misguided. U need the new version of Islam where every thing which is prohibited in Islam is allowed for u. Islam should limited to prayers, fasting & hajj, there is nothing more in Islam. Put all blames on Taliban & blaming that they are narrow minded people. Please read the following lines, is this a pseudo intellectualism, liberalism, enlightened modernity, progressive thoughts, reconstruction of Saleem`s Islamic thought, lack of knowledge or intentional effort to misguide. ``All ancient scriptures are outdated - not only Quran``
``Hadith is another culprit”

I didn`t come a cross any single article where any one criticize media specially TV Channels like TVOne, HUM, GEO on showing scene where women doing smoking & men are drinking wine. ARY showing a show where homosexuality was discussed. Now we can see open scene of kissing on dramas & music shows. Meera came on GEO in mini skirt. In Sindh TV, the culture which they are showing in their songs no where exist in Sindh. Skin tight trousers & open blouse shirts or sleeve less short t shirts are so common, which is not the reflection of society. Previously, we can see PTV drama with family, but now what are the topics of our Indian inspired dramas protestation, polygamy, mod girls (no connection with common society) violation and divorce. That’s why the channel like Masala is getting popularity where women can see the recopies of food

Ahmar ! Ur article is very interesting, but I am agreed with half of content. Dialogues are very important & essential, but times comes when there is need to stop the evil deeds like lewdness with power. I am completely agreed with u that our society is not extremist either towards Islam or either towards enlightened moderenation. We also become sentimental about `Mullah`. The word which we used commonly to blame all those who raised their voice against liberalism. The women who elected democratically & obderved hijab or pardah & become active & arguing at the same level with the women like Kishmala Traiq or other PPP parliament members, facing the crtique. What wrong in this that they are daughters or wives of elected members. The agreement in which women can`t vote in tribal area signed also by PPP, ANP, ML (Q & N), why u r just accusing MMA. I didn`t come a cross any single article where any one criticize media specially TV Channels like TVOne, HUM, GEO on showing scene where women doing smoking & men are drinking wine. Dear Brother !
You are just discussing the things just on the assumptions` with out any research or understanding the situation.
Who told u that ALL the student organizations are `Terrorist`. If you can`t distinguish between ideological based work & slogan based affiliations, then it is the problem of ur ability of understanding.
The `Assumption` that only the child of poor is terrorist. Recently, it has published in the Dawn that police caught red handed a milliner’s son. What happened in Princeton University?
Your point of view is just like with the today’s statement of our education minister in opening ceremony of Book fair in Karachi that our (basically his) history start from Moen Jo Daro.

The Clash of Stupidities
Muslim men are perceived as violent, cruel and barbaric towards women in general, but especially towards their own wives, daughters and sisters.
The fact is that such disgusting behavior does occur in the Muslim world, for many of the same reasons it occurs in the United States: a cycle of abuse in the family, socio-economic factors and jealousy.
However, what could be said to distinguish women`s mistreatment in the Muslim world is the general lack of Islamic education amongst men and women about day-to-day matters, including the roles and rights of women.
Mistreatment and abuse of women, and wives in particular is condemned by Islam.
Consider the following Hadith narrated by Abu Huraira in Tirmidhi: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,``The one most perfect in his faith is he whose conduct is best and the best amongst you is he who behaves best towards his wife.``
Now consider the following the statistics about how many women are treated in the United States, taken from the 1995 National Crime Victimization Survey of the U.S. Department of Justice and the National Domestic Violence Hotline Fact Sheet and Statistics
HOW MANY ABUSED
WOMEN ARE THERE IN THE U.S.?
Women age 12 or older annually sustained almost 5
million violent victimizations in 1992 and 1993.
Women and girls ages 12 and up annually reported about 500,000 rapes and sexual assaults, almost 500,000 robberies, and about 3.8 million assaults.
WHO ARE THE ABUSERS
In 29% of all violence against women by a lone offender, the perpetrator was an intimate (husband,ex-husband, boyfriend or ex-boyfriend).
Women annually reported about 500,000 rapes and sexual assaults Friends or acquaintances of the victims committed over half of these rapes or sexual assaults. Strangers were responsible for about 1 in 5.
HONOR KILLINGS IN AMERICA?
Of the 5328 women murdered in 1990, FBI data indicate that about half or more of them by a husband or boyfriend.
VIOLENCE AMONG COUPLES
A minimum of 16 % of American couples experienced an assault during the year they were asked about it, and about 40% of these involved severely violent acts, such as kicking, biting, punching, choking, and attacks with weapons.
A 1993 national poll found that 34% of adults in the United States report having witnessed a man beating his wife or girlfriend and that 14% of women report that a husband or boyfriend has been violent with them.
THE PHYSICAL DAMAGE
CAUSED TO WOMEN AND CHILDREN BY ABUSE
During the last decade, domestic violence has been identified as one of the major causes of emergency room visits by women.
From 20% to 30% of the women who are seen by emergency room physicians exhibit at least one or more symptoms of physical abuse.
10% of the victims were pregnant at the time of abuse.
10% reported that their children had also been abused by the batterer.
THE ECONOMIC FACTOR IN WOMEN`S ABUSE
*Women aged 19 to 29 and women in families with incomes below $10,000 were more likely than other women to be victims of violence by an intimate.

Islam and Muslims have long been accused of mistreating women. The Clash of Stupidities
The debate on `Role of Women” in Islamic society is not new. Those who morn over death of Dutch Film maker should have some psychiatry problem. Pls keep in mind; I am not in favor of any type of killing or murder. But what kind of `WORK`` she did should also be discussed.
Today news is that after France Denmark also posses ban on head scarf or Hijab in public places. Where are the women rights & human rights organization regarding this issue, what is their role? Is this not stupidity?????
I also want to quote the latest Gallup International survey of eight predominantly Muslim countries released on June 2006 in which they stated that “ Muslim women don’t think that they are conditioned to accept second class status or view themselves or oppressed’
More than. 8000 face to face interviews conducted in eight countries. According to poll
1. They should have the right to vote without influence
2. Work outside the home
3. Can serve in the highest level of govt.
4. They didn’t see the sex issue as priority because other issues were more pressing
5. They are “ worried” about the unity amongst Muslim countries
6. Their main concern are violence, political & economical corruption
7. They also believe that Western values can’t help in Muslim world political & economical terms
8. Gallup was shocked by mentioning in its report by commenting “ The hijab, the head scarf or Burqa, seen by West as tool of oppression, were never mentioned in women answers to the open ended questions
9. overwhelming majority of Pakistani women in this survey said religious beliefs was their country most admirable trait
Now after reading above all survey results issued form Washington DC any wise person can understand what the reality is what is wrongly portrait by pseudo intellectuals.
