Karzai, Hafiz ullha Amin, etc do not use Khan. So name Khan has nothing to do with Pathans. Like bollywood Naches like Shah Rukh Khan, Imran is a Khan with Thumka Turrah family history - not Pathan. Every Pashtu speaking is not Khan either such as majority in Swat are Gujjar but they also speak Pashto. So my dear please learn something useful as Akbar said life will not come back. To an average Pakistani, its army is a burden and liability. The most hated organization in the country. Also to an average Pakistani at least in the tribal belt, the nukes or missiles mean nothing. These are pieces of pride for a demoralized and dishonored army so who cares if someone takes them out. Life in tribal areas is horrible. When someone gets kidnapped, the collective punishment means everyone is summoned by the state machinarey. So everyone hates the state. Pak army faciliated US drones create panic and uncertainity. Now the question is 'the British founded colonial army has totally failed the people of Pakistan in tribal regions what is next? As Shiek Mujeeb said to Bhutto, the time to live like brothers is running out fast. It appears that Bengalis just kept the Pak rifles and returned the prisoners. But there is fear if the situation continues in tribal areas for sometime the PakArmy may not even get back the dead ones.

Then we had new definitions of Pakistan when, I believe, in 1957 was declared Islamic Republic. Then in 1971 Pakistan was really made muslim when bastards circumcised it. Since then there is no objective, no destination, just pimping for anyone who can pay. Saudis and Kuwaits are there to support Whabbis. If Whabbis come to power, they will abolish all the local shrines as Shirk and all the money should flow to big shrines in Mecca and Medina. Iran is there through some shia groups. Inside these two rooms was one guy with his feet on a table. A water cooler, a rolled small carpet in the corner, a fax and a phone machine. The jihad shrank to these two rooms. I asked him, what happened to your big office. He offered me cigrette and told, we are done. Our project is over. Russians are out of Afghanistan. I asked him, have you seen the scale of destruction in Afghanistan? He said, "congress has no more funds for this project any more". If history is any guide then we must admit that the present Pakistan has always
been a separate entity from the rest of India. The great Indus civilizations
that emerged in Hrappa and Mohenjo Daro had only one colonial outpost in
present India, may be only 30 miles. It was Dholavira east of now defunt river
Saraswati. So far not a single statue or idol has been discovered from any
these archeological sites suggesting that these people having an origin in
Aryan invaders were not idol worshippers. They made their subjugates to worship
them (alive and dead both) while forcing their opponet's deads to burn.
Exceptions were granted to infant dead and who died of burn. In most preserved
parts in northern areas we witness people who still considered trees sacred and
who had their ancestors graveyards. This is much earlier than the arrival of
Islam. And then they got converted to Islam quiet rightfully realizing that
they are not the ultimate power and the power rests with Allah or God. However,
people who were forced into submission had hard time relieving of themselves of
slavish mindset. Today we still see this bizzare behavior in Brahmins in India.
Interestingly everthing including our vision about this universe is constantly
changing. The so called west is looking for some spiritual refuge even in harsh
Tibetian caves. The dissatisfied youths sometime resort to gun but more often
to drugs. The whole lot of new technology brought whole lot of new diseases and
other social problems. Will this ever interests them to consider Islamic Way of
Life like Cat Steve? No, may be never given the middle eastern hatered and
Jewish dominance in the western societies. This will keep a chasm between
Muslims and the rest of the world. Good or bad it will prevail for foreseeable
future.
Will Muslims sit down and just wait for Allah? No not at all. They will try a
way for themselves at least to shatter the media generated myth that the true
progress and prosperity comes only through western social model. Given the
diseases genertated by modern foods, psychological problems due to social
relation breakdown and the deterioration of the environment it is not possible
to copy the western model on to the rest of the world. The world need an
alternative. Will Muslims provide it?
Here is where the Taliban reason comes in. Not immediately but ultimately they
will be the model for most of the Muslim world youth. A decade ago youths from
Mirpur were dying to go to England. Today youths from England are going to
Kashmir to die in Jihad? More discrmination on part of the west and Judio-Hindu
corporates will create more Jihadis in the west. These will be the people who
will provide guidelines to people back home not the wise versa. And this will
take a good hold.
We limit our analysis to present Hindu versus Muslims in the subcontinent.
Islam is the latest largest religion with some modern approach and a way of
life. Every new sect in Islam emerged to truly implement it and make it the
best. So we see a force that gravitates to make it powerful and better. It is
always a strive for the best. And Hinduism, as opposed to Islam, was the oldest
largest religion based on primitvie human understanding of this universe. It
had the animal instinct of dominance to weaker and surrending/worshipping the
strongest. The same primitive behavior is carried by modern day Hindu
nationalists. That is why group tried to break apart from Hinduism not to
reform it but to ruin it. Bhuddists did that and so did Sikhs. Those who did
not completely carved out new religions to free thmesleves of caste system and
other discrimination just joined other established religions like Islam and
Christianity. So if Islam carries the seed to make it the best the Hinduism
carries the seed of self destruction. And we have the best chess position in
the subcontinent. We have Vajpayees nationalist government with Sonia (a
foreigner) in the opposition. Good news that Vajpayee does not need any bullet
to fire for nationalism till Sonia is in the oppostion bunker. And more Hindu
nationalism more reason for Talibanization of the area.
Today we see that the past over half a century of separation and border have
cahnged the new mind in Pakistan. People are adopting more tribal customs such
as honor killings which were limited to remote areas. Today Sindh is producing
more Mujahideens for Kashmir than Afghanistan is providing us. The vacuum is
being filled with Talibans automatically. Guess how much Indian movies have
changed the minds of Pakistanis. A lot. But those who are Talibans do not watch
movies either they can not afford or they do not like them. On the same line if
Hindi and Urdu were desinged to use Roman alphabets it would have created a
great danger especially in computer age. However, this phase is over. Better
Indians were busy developing Nuclear duds than doing some creative work.

Mystery and uncertainty is the reality of this cosmos. We were very happy at
the turn of the last century that we knew the secrets of the universe. Karl
Marx undoubtly pioneered in political economic theory and successfuly convinced
the working people around the world that a mechanist model of the society is an
operational one. He, in fact, proved that Hagel had set the philosophy upside
down, that Marx corrected it. Engels, Marx buddy, beautifully elaborated on
materialism in his Anti Dhuring and conviced the analytical mind that cartesian
coordinates can be mapped in our socio-economic model. Superstition was in
retreat and working classes armed with dialectical and historical materialisms
were making inroads in all capitalists' castles.
The ideology of the supermacy of working class was in direct confrontation with
fascism which takes pride in racial supermacy and rejection of egaletarian
philosophy. The hot debate continued among revolutions and fascism. Created two
great wars and we entered into the era of cold war.
Our concept about this universe continually transformed. We derived our
philosophical satisfactions from physical sciences and tried to prove that we
are right. We human tried to model our lives based on mechanics of particles.
People like Einstein bravely fought over 35 years in vain to prove that God
does not play a dice. But people like Einstein proved wrong - not on his
scientific acumen but in his philosophical approach toward this universe. And
then came Bell's theorem. Alas these inequalities have solved the case and we
would be enjoying life without bothering much 'what is life afterall?' And then
Prof. Aspect proved that 'Mystery and uncertainty is the reality of this
cosmos.'

Are we back to square one? Yes but not in a circular fashion rather in a spiral
fashion. Now the religion is on the rise. Muslim Talibans are not new. Iranians
already stunned the world. And the westernized Lebanon fought hard and reverted
back to Islamic way of life. Hindus woke up from hybirnation and are struggling
to bring back good old values. Christian fundamentalism and Jewish are on the
rise. The statues of Lenin and Marx are the least visited places at the turn of
this century.
Have we settled the case and the verdict is in favor of religious forces?
Sorry the issue is not that simiplistic. Things move in hapazard and spiral
shape. We are very successful when we have refined and precisely measured
entities. We refine sugar to have the variety of products with best tastes. We
refine million of chemicals and mold them to create things what we need. But
this refinement has created tremendous problems to our environment and health.
We developed diabetes and cancer as our bodies are not used to these refined
things. We could not evolve with things that nature has not evolved in time and
space.
Every refined entity has a multitude of options to recombine. That is how we
have complex compounds in nature at first place. We get nuclear bombs. And with
minor doping we exploit the properties of semiconductors for our needs. Things
combined in a multitude form become inert including inert gases with their
saturated electronic configurations.
And that is true in our pursuit for puritonical lybrinth of soceity. It is not
merely an ontological issue. When Germans were given a sense that they are
superior they rose like invincible force and shook the world. Same is true with
Japanese. Not far from our own hometown. The defeated Pakistanis were told to
build bomb even you have to eat grass and they did it agaisnt all odds. Afghans
were told you can defeat Russians and they did it. Tamils, despite in minority,
were made conscious that how they were exploited by Sinhalese majority, they
rebelled and crushed all non-violence Hindu philosophies under their boots.
Kashmiris were always mocked that 'Tapsi tey tuss kersi' and they proved it
wrong.


The experiments have been repeatedly confirmed with cancer patients. Those with
fighting spirit survied more than twice after 15 years than those with stoic
spirit. It is the mind over matter or in simple words the quantum effects that
move the giants.
The new era is the rise of religious forces and will continue for over a
generation. Statue smashing talibans and Qoran burning Hindu fundamentalists
are the real players in the arena. Given the situation in neighboring Pakistan
and Central Asia, the taliban philosophy is likely to grow and grow at an
unprecedental rate.
Is not funny that Afghanistan was the only country (neither India nor Russia)
which opposed the entry of Pakistan into the UNO. And Indian MIGs were flying
from Afghanistan to bomb ATA (Artellary and Tank Ammunition Factories). Durand
line was never accepted and Ghaffar Khan made his last wich to be burried in
Jalal Abad as it was the under pro Indian forces. With the statues gone we have
next hundred of years to bring up generation to rebuild those statues if it
will ever happen. Not like China when soon after cultural revolution it was
realized that breaking the statues was a historical mistake. Not in Afghanistan
it will be realized soon if ever.
Will these refined religious movements will create diabetes and cancer like
social diseases among evolving human race?

Please De-stabilize the System A system is composed of subsystems and then on its components. There may be parallel structures in a system as a fail safe state but does not mean the rotten components become a permanent part. The system in Pakistan - alas old communists used to do the Moscow/China mantra as semi-feudal/semi-capitalist - can not be quantitively described. It is just subjective. There were also many other descriptions in olden days. And all these progressive or most of them have their own religio-politic agendas but used the left-wing shelters for their executions. Anyway let me be blunt. There is no system in Pakistan. It runs on corruption and if you take it out the country will fall in no time. Take any component of its system, let's say jurisprudence. Look how lawyers are trying hard for their survival. We have jirga system that much ancient but much in need because the colonial system is crippling. Let me put in this way. If you get in trouble under colonial British system, First the police will round you up, disgrace you and family, take bribe and beat the hell out of you. Then the lawyer will try to rob you strating with his peon, munshi, etc. Then you are in a lock up. Finally, judge will deliver a verdict based on whatever evidence he is presented. In a joint family system there are hundreds if not thousands who will become eyewitness to support you even you have murdered someone. People will feel pleasure and honor in defeating a system that was imposed on them and is no good. It is not their dishonesty. In fact it is their honesty that they do not accept the imposed system deep down in their conscience. Let's take the same scenario in a jirga. If it is not a murder case, normal cases are settled in a day and both parties hug each other and happily return home. The jirga does not try to deliver some balanced verdict based on evidence. Rather it tries to maintain the delicate fabric intact in its social system. It does not mean it is perfect. It shows how the imposed system is rotten. I am well aware of huge movements against Jirga. The government machinary has tried its best to malign the system but it never worked. Even USA, Karzai and Mush need the help of jirga. And look how Madrasshas, with elms and donations, out perform your billion dollars education system in every respect? The "fun part" is over. It is time to do some accounting. Kargil made winners,
losers, heros and horeses asses.
THE WINNERS:
Whoever was on those mountains proved that mighty Indian army completely
failed to push those Mujahideens back. Even today after 3 months (since May 8)
Indians could only claim one sector that was vacated by intruders. The fact is
that Indian army fully realized and made statements that those mountians will
be vacated by September means 'clearing them is impossible'. September is the
time that no body can survive them in harsh snow. That is why Indians begged US
and world powers to mediate. Indians were ready to attack Pakistan on
international border. And Indians knew that Pakistan can use nukes. But Indians
also knew that their troops in North will starve for sure. The truth is that
South Asia was at the brink of nuclear war. The winners are in descending
order.
WINNERS:
1. MUJAHIDEEN. Mujahideens proved that they can bring Indian armed forces to
thier knees. This will not only encourage them but also 15 other sepratist
movements in India for armed struggle. They got new recognition and status.
2. INDIAN CIVILIAN RULERS: It proved that Pakistan, though militarily in the
best position, was diplomatically in the worst position. Even Saudi Arabia and
Iran not to speak of China couldnot come in open to support Pakistan. This
shows how effective Indians are in diplomacy and lobbying. Wars are fought for
political agenda. If you lose in politics and win on ground the end result is
"not winning". Indians messages to the families of Pakistani soldiers and the
reports of honorable burials etc. (who knows even they are true) will
definitely change the common person tones about India in Pakistan (and alienate
about rulers in Pakistan) provided the message got through well.
3. PAKISTAN ARMY: General Musshraff last minute statement "there is no question
of retreat" was a very calculated statement. Now army will tell people, "we won
the war but it were the politicians who lost it on table". Army will try its
best to regain its image first time in 28 years.
LOSERS:
1. NAWAZ SHRIEF: No doubt that all major players have their intersts at stake
with the victory of Mujahideens. Shrief, as I wrote couple months ago, do not
want Mujahideens to win. But he will plan so that they do not appear to be
loser. No matter what assurances he got from Clinton or Vajpayee (and who cares
about these secret assurances) he has an uphill fight may be worse than what
Indian army was upto in Kargil.
2. INDIAN ARMY: Could not be worse than this time. Their conflicting stories
need no comment. Their mounting casualities and their lame excuses exposed that
they are a third rate army. Indian army has insurrmountable task ahead if it
has to keep with the rest of the world and its nuclear-Mujahid neighbors.
SUFFERING OF PEOPLE:
WORST:
KASHMIRIS, INDIANS AND PAKISTANIS. Kashmiris sacrificed their lives, land,
wealth and honor. They live in a hell. Indians spent over Rs. 10 crors per day
in Kargil sector alone. Pakistan, as a economic colony of the rest of the
world, got worse in economic field.
NEXT:
If Indians and Pakistanis fail to effectively address the issue of Kashmir they
are doomed to failure and the winner will be fundamentalists. Kashmir issue is
very complex. Will see you after a month or so.

And it is coming to its fruitation. Military made a dramatic planning to
capture power in Oct 1999. It was blessed by the CIA as no Pakistani officer
can rise above the rank of Bragadier without the permission of the CIA station
incharge in Islamabad. Mushraff is no exception.
We know, that like scores of other thugs, he crossed Indo-Pak border pennyless
and today he owns billion of Rs. He has about dozen homes in Pakistan while his
only and lonely son is in the USA. He came to clean up the country and wants to
stay till dirt is not gone. And the biggest dirt maker are the officer
themselves. We learnt that Ayub did the same. He ordered trains to run on time
and adulterers dumpped their groceries by early morning. At the end when the
account was wrapped up armed forces robbed the country more than 22 billion
dollars. And Yahya came to the rescue. By the time he left we were left with
half the country in less than 2 years. And the traditions continued with Zia
with his wife running drug trade with United Bank Manager GHQ branch and his
son now billionaire. Then Nawaz Shrief kept the pot of corruption boiling with
supplemental services rendered by Benazir and her Mr. 30% husband.
Now Gen. Mushraff got orders to take off his uniform and get closer to Bhutto
to form the next governement to rid Pakistan of fundamentalists. In fact
Benazir Bhutto and Gen. Mushraff are separate in public but bedfellow in
private. This will not work my dear soldier.
General Mushraff vision of Disco Socialism will go down the tube worse than
Bhutto. A society that runs on values and traditions can not be mecahnically
moulded to suit the western imperialist needs. Our armed forces along with our
bureaucracy have been serving western interests than its own masses is no
secret from anybody.
Mushraff, like all previous rulers of Pakistan, dead or alive, are very much
eager to establish good relations with India. America wants that to control
China. He seems almost begging everyday to just hold talks with Indian leaders.
Why? It is very natural. Even today, after so many generations, there are
Italian Americans and Irish Americans, and there are German Americans, and
there are African Americans and of course Pakistani Americans and Indian
Americans. This is the natural link no force can sever. Only there are
hypocrates who deny it. By the same token every ruler in Pakistan was very much
eager to establish friendly relationship with India while playing Indian
monster to strengthen their tenure. Ayub Khan who was from Frontier is a unique
example. He was the only ruler not from India or so called Hindustani but he
was too eager to share bed with Indians as his brought up was in Aligarh and
Agra. He was Indian by British army. Nawaz Shrief was very eager to trade his
sugar and Benazir Bhutto is eager to visit her aunty's grave and her
grandmother's home? Mushraff is very much eager to talk and sell electricity to
India though Indians donot spare a shoe for him. And right next to Islamabad
are the native Pakistanis who are begging for electricity.
To whom these rulers are fooling? Mushraff's future will be worse than Bhutto
and Zia combined. He is mere an addition to Hindustani rulers in Pakistan who
are more faithful to their ancestral land then the place they live and made
billions. And if you shit in the same pot where you eat you are doomed.
We need a real nationalist tough government comprised on local masses. Mushraff
has caused so much damage to Kashmiri people by falling into Indian trap. India
needed time to build barbed wire and to kill innocent Kashmiris and rape their
women. It may be ripe time for Pakistanis to look for simple but effective
force. May be once again from North West. And Mushraff and his disco socialist
team should know well that Americans seldom dare to save their watchdogs.
