Zeemax as HP said MQM followed what was said by the Army/America ...so far the only pillars of the state. Makes perfect sense .
Hopefully tachmed chachoos revelotion will come to fruitition to buikld a third pillar. However your revelotion needs to be defeated first to prevent your kind from bar b qing our chachoo types from the rooftops.

Hp and Bismillah bhai thanks for the informative posts.
T chachoo and Anil chacha though your beliefs are completely moral and sensible, people tend to believe what they have seen in the past. RE MQM For a minority with a very violent history with the central govt ....any time they are not being actively oppressed (because someone else is)is their char din ki chandni to get in bed with the twin pillars of our status quo (Army and America). That is conventional wisdom in our current set up. However if this lawyers movement really can change the old paradigm then suddenly it would be a whole diff. ballgame.

Zeemax;s people dont believe that a full 50% of the population (women) deserves an education much less a vote.
That leaves you with Tahmed chachoo representing the well meaning segment of Pakistanis who I think are vastly outnumbered. I would love to be wrong.

Anil chacha you are asking all the right questions but to the wrong person. I am too cynical to think Pakistanis can form a sustainable democracy in the near future while the twin scourges of illiteracy and fanatasism plague the country. Zeemax;s people dont believe that a full 50% of the population (women) deserves an education much less a vote.

"cb: and also note that zardari is as afraid of the Chief Justice as musharraf was - since the CJ would no doubt do away with the NRO under which musharraf and zardari both secured the miserable "deal" they made to sabotage the democracy movement"
somehow i think there is just room for one person on the hangmans noose at this time.......anyhow if it will prevent the miserable corruption and murder that we expect from our govt ....if it will really mean truly free judiciary then you can not only impeach Mush you can hang him and ill throw in that loony altaf for free :)

Anyway urdu speakers have very little love for their origins MQM grew out of the a resentment for the quota system and lack of representation of the karachi middle class (mostly urdu speakers) by either fuedal run PPP or religious nuts like the IJI.

Anil chacha noone calls themselves muhajir in real life. The word is urdu speaking unless we are talking of politics. Zeemax this is why i cant have any sane discussion with you. You cant seem to understand very basic facts like i have never killed anyone.
However, the whole "watch out for taliban" thing did strike me as very irresponsible and prejudiced ...unless they turn out to be telling the truth.

People need to make up their mind, if Mush is such a jack ass for depriving us of democracy then why not respect democracy when millions of karachiites vote for the MQM.

Anil chacha i have no idea what Shiv sena is like. But you are right in suggesting that every party no matter how horrible has its some defence for its ideology. People need to make up their mind, if Mush is such a jack ass for depriving us of democracy then why not respect democracy when millions of karachiites vote for the MQM.

Zeemax the Taliban supporter is by definition not a man who cares much for justice or country or nonviolence so all his protestations OTOH are basically just so much racism.
Anyway i have no contacts or insight into the MQM. Like most Karachiites i think they make embarrassingly stupid speeches. They keep the streets clean of fundos (a huge plus). They build roads and do some good stuff in terms of infrastructure.
Average Joe doesnt know anymore than me (i hope). And I dont think anyone knows what the Nazim meant by changing geographia. He did also say "is mulk ke illawa hamare liye koi jaga nahin". Didnt sound like much of a call for cessation.

Rabia every criticism of MQM is def. not an attack on the muhajir community. Tahmed chachoo criticises MQM day in and out and i completely understand why, though i would call him overzealous. If he (Tahmed) criticises their opposition of the CJ etc and their violence or their racism thats totally legit criticism. Zeemax the Taliban supporter is by definition not a man who cares much for justice or country or nonviolence so all his protestations OTOH are basically just so much racism.

"half way in his second term in musharraf's coup he had a 2/3rd majority " still did anyone give a shit when he was kicked out on his ass? All of Pakistan from karachi to khyber was celebrating when Mush took over including Tahmed Chacchoo.

Bubba your guess is as good as mine. Its a really really weird slogan alright. Unlike our friend Zee the taliban apologist (who really does think his nation is worth killing) i dont believe this is a Jinnahpur reference. Oooh ...spooky music.... Zee evoked "India" ....next ofcourse "Israel" :)

Zeemax the whole country hated Zardari the whole country hated Nawaz and at one point the whole country loved Mush. Suddenly now thats he has become the only nanga in the Islamic republic of Hamam suddenly anyone who opposes Nawdari axis of bullshit at any level must be muhajir.
Maybe Hamidm is right. Maybe Muhajir is just a state of mind.
