Militants kill 22 rival tribesmen

By Alamgir Bhittani

TANK, June 25: Pro-Baitullah Mehsud militants killed 22 rival tribesmen in Jandola the day after kidnapping them, an official said on Wednesday.

They belonged to the Niamatkhel clan of the Bhittani tribe and were captured in clashes with militants on Monday.

Officials estimated that militants had kidnapped 30 people and eight were still missing.

Barkatullah Marwat, District Coordination Officer of Tank, told Dawn that bodies of the victims had been retrieved from Kari Wam and Sor Ghar areas. All of them were buried later.

A spokesman for Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Maulvi Umar, claimed responsibility for the killings, saying the fate of the eight people still in their custody would be decided by members of the Shura.

The paki military has withdrawn from teh tribal areas, and there will be one surviving jihadi group. Once that happens, it will be B52 time. remeber the good old paki predictiosn about tora bora, teh days of alexander etc etc.. not many can survive when B52s unload. The good old days were man to man combat where the local terrain knowledge matters. Luckily, the daisy cutters mak no distinction.

Where are the pakistanis,

At last pakistanis seem to have quit chowk, disgusted and ashamed of their own country, they have chosen to vanish into thin air.

Waht has been said on chowk is slowly sinking into them, all pakistanis are openly talking about disintegration of pakistan, fall of peshawar, largescale suicide bombings, and the final invasion of FATA by teh US forces.

Any paki with some self respect and has interacted on chowk abusing the indians should be curling up and praying to allah to releive him of thsi missery called life.

I recommend that allah give them jihadic heaven.

Re: # 70

For a long time I had been telling this largely due to teh k for kafir education by the govt schools, let alone by the jihadis. There is a pervasive teaching of hatred in the pak society and that is why even those born and brought up in the UK end up as bombers. They are the children of TNT.

The imposition of teh sharia law, cut off any kind of freedom or decency that the society could have. Can you imagine a country where murder is not a crime against teh state, teh victims family has to fight it through teh court system to get killer punished.

Only blasphemy is a crime against teh state. In that kind of institutional system, only violence can thrive, and jihadis are the best at that. Killing , robbery, torture in teh name of god..well only they will thrive and pakistan will become the first jihadic state.

Militants shave heads of ‘car snatchers’
Wednesday, June 25, 2008
Our correspondent

DARRA ADAMKHEL: Local Taliban Tuesday shaved heads of three alleged car-lifters, paraded them through Darra Adamkhel town and sent them for ‘tableegh’ (preaching) after they confessed to their crime.

Sources told The News the three accused namely Quwat Khan son of Saeed Khan, resident of Koki Khel Mastan Khel Khyber Agency, Wazirbat Khan, resident of Darsamand Tall and Wali Khan, an Afghan refugee, hired a taxi (MB-925) from Abbottabad for Peshawar.

On reaching there, they asked the driver to take them further. When they reached Jani Garhi in the jurisdiction of Matani Police Station, they tortured the driver and snatched the car from him. The sources said the driver went to Matani Police Station, where the officials on duty refused to lodge an FIR. He then approached the local Taliban for help, who after hectic efforts captured the three car-snatchers. When the Taliban grilled them, they confessed to their crime.

/////////////////////////////////////////

In the above incident, as usual, the police refused to do anything, but the jihadis did.

Paki military from the beginning have been subcontracting their work to the jihadis, from 1947 till the kargill and the continuing action in kashmir.

The same can be done by the police. The jihadis can be co-located just like the military, and the crime investigation can be given to teh jihadis. Just like the kargill, it can be denied as well.

This can put teh jihadis into good use, and they can do the killings when they come across any infidels. All will be happy, including the god.

Helping pakistan.

For a country like pakistan with poor infrstructure, corruption and the like, fresh fruit export should be the last option. Forget about exporting ripe mangos, pakis should concentrate on export of pickled mangos. They are picked when green, as such teh yield will be higher than the ripe ones, and pickling presrves it with no refrigeration requirements, apt for a country with hardly any electricity supply.

Any how the entire country is in a pickle, and mango pickling will be more appropriate for teh country. Donot forget, when jinnah coined the name, Pakistan, p stood for pickle.

Mango, potato exporters suffer Rs130m losses

KARACHI, June 24: All Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Exporters, Importers and Merchants Association Chairman Abdul Wahid said on Tuesday that mango and potato exporters have suffered a loss of Rs100-130 million due to insufficient shipping services.

He said in a statement a ship operated by Karachi Agents Sea Consortium loaded about 37 containers of mango and potato for Dubai on June 7. The ship was reportedly having problems but the fault was not reported to the exporters.

The ship sailed off on June 13 but it developed fault on its voyage, ultimately toed to the Dubai Port where it called on June 23.

News I had been waiting for has arrived. First major sign of iraquisation is about to happen, a region with all of teh paki military establishment will be wiped out by the jihadis. All of the other militia will be slaughtered. Once this is confirmed, the B52s will roll in. NWFP is no more part of pakistan, it should be part of afghanistan, definitely with the mighty paki army withdrawing from teh afghan frontiers.

Emboldened militants set sights on Peshawar

By Ismail Khan

PESHAWAR, June 24: The security situation in Peshawar is grim. Officials in the home department, who evaluate the situation on an almost daily basis, believe declaring a state of red alert is now only a matter of time.

With militants knocking at the gates of the capital of the NWFP, even the more circumspect government and police officials now grudgingly concede that Peshawar, too, could fall in a few months.

“Peshawar is in a state of siege and if Peshawar falls, the rest of the districts in the NWFP would fall like ninepins”, a worried senior government official told Dawn.

Re: # 51

what we really need is coperation with opec to keep the price at 150 for a decade. Then we can have a smooth energy transition. It is unlikely, teh price will start falling the moment total demand drops. Then the SUVs will be back. What is needed is sustained high price to scrap most of teh SUV plants and a large numbers on teh roads, along with creation of mass transit system. Then it will be a permanent structural change.

I understand that in teh US, ford has only mothballed teh SUV and truck plants, not scrapped them.

In support of opec

http://www.inflationdata.com/inflation/images/charts/Oil/Inflation_Adj_O il_Prices_Chart.htm

The poor arabs, did not get a price increase for teh last fifteen years, see link above, and at least now for a few years they can have some windfall.

The present price rise and the resurgence of opec is due to bad deal they got for so long.

The sad part is that they will get used to this money, they have so many projects started, and in two years time the demenad will drop. Then the opec will become weak, each will try to pump as mush as possible and the price will collapse. That is what happened in the 70s.

Hopefully, that will not happen this time due to cooperation to stabilise teh price so taht new technologies can em,erge.

Re: # 49

At present crude oil and its distillates are used primarily for transportation fuel. Hence the total energy basket is inappropriate. Among the transport fuels, electricity and bio fules and human energy ( bikes) can make an impact, along with mass transport.

The advantage of jatrapha is that it is a hardy drought resistant plant, can grow here food crops cannot. hence the yield is not an issue. Further the plant stops soil erosion. Hence it is a multi-beneficial crop. Hopefully many small extractions palnts will come up and the local level use of jatropha will increase.
In India of course using alcohol as a fuel is total waste, so many mouths to drink and with a strong pharmasuitical industry, the feedstock use is the most economical.

By teh way, edible oil use, at least import to india has stabilised due to all the hype about heart decease and oil.

Re: # 46

Bio fuel is a good option if it is used wisely. In India, there increasingly there is a bio diesel industry coming up using jatrpha oil. This shrub can grow in marginal lands, and teh railways are planning to use the land along the rail lines for jatropha cultivation. Nearly 40 percent of the diesel consumption in India is by the railways and bio fuel already account for 5 percent and will be boosted to 20 pecenbt in five years. Many small jatrophs oil extraction companies are coming.

It is all a question of fuel pricing. Another good example is sugar mills. In india, most sugar mills are energy surplus, they burn bagasse, ferment teh molasses and use the excess nagasse to make alcohol, or else it burnt to produce electricity to feed into teh grid. While in australia for example, natural gas is use to crystalise sugar while the bagasse is a waste dumped or used as soil conditioner.

Coconut oil is by far the best substitute for diesel, it can be used directly without processing, but cocomut oil has better use as feedstock for high performane lube oils. Most of teh aircraft lube oils are made out of coconut oil. The so called fully sysnthtic oils for cars are actually from vegetable oil base, and is not a petroleum product.

"This is just one instance of the state of denial that colours our response to criticism. When radical Muslims from all over the world travel to Pakistan to receive training in bomb-making, and indoctrination in extremist interpretations of Islam, we hold up our hands and claim we are not responsible. Never mind that these training camps are located within our borders, and those running them are well known to our intelligence agencies. When graduates from these camps kill and maim innocent people in the West, we wash our hands of all responsibility.

Similarly, when drugs were a major export from Pakistan, we conveniently blamed the addicts for pushing up demand and prices in the West. When illegal immigrants from Pakistan cross borders all over the world, we claim we can do nothing to halt this traffic. And when supporters of the Taliban cross over into Afghanistan, or when jihadis traverse the Line of Control into Indian Kashmir with or without the connivance of our intelligence agencies, we pretend complete ignorance."

The drones are a terrible manace to the peace loving people of FATA. Here is the news item followed by my advice to teh pakistanis.

Drones make flights in Kurram Agency
Updated at: 1300 PST, Tuesday, June 24, 2008
PESHAWAR: Flights of drone planes have been witnessed once again in the border areas of Kurram Agency creating panic among the locals.

According to sources, drone planes made flights in the border areas on Tuesday that caused panic among the residents of these areas.

More than 200 people have been killed so far in missile attacks carried out by drones in tribal areas.
////////////

The drones buzzing around are like death from heaven, they are unmanned, almost godly with a mind of their own. No doubt many women and children get killed in the attacks. The pak govt should advise the people taht when they hear a drone, they should some out of their houses in case there is a jihadi meeting going one and wave at the drones. Thsi will give the indication that jihadis at home and the drones can target them leaving teh women and children safe.

PESHAWAR: Rot sets in for Swat fish farmers

By Sadia Qasim Shah

PESHAWAR, June 23: Apart from other people associated with different trades and professions, the fish farmers of the tourist resort of Madyan in Swat valley have been hit hard by the armed conflict between security forces and militants as they can neither sell fish due to fall in number of tourists nor are able to export the commodity owing to lack of facilities.

Madyan, famous for trout fish, looks deserted despite peak of tourists’ season. “The fish farmers have no idea what to do with the fish in their farms,” said Mohammad Rasheed, who owns three fish farms in Madyan.

He said that before the conflict, the number of fish produced in the farms was enough for consumption of tourists who came here during the season.

“I have not sold any fish in this season. I have about 5,000 kilograms of fish in my three farms. I don’t know what to do,” he lamented and complained of sharp fall in the sale owing to the decreasing number of tourists during the last two years.
////////////////
trout is good fish and it can be preserved by smoking it, which can be easily done in teh NWFP with the fire wood available there.

If you can put a little marijuana into teh smoke, the fish can become addictive and can ensure a good market for Swat fish for years to come.

Regrads and best wishes to teh responsible chowk pakis who can pass on this idea to teh poor farmers.

Reliance, Walmart eyeing Malayalam film industry'

Kochi (PTI): Another controversy is brewing in the Malayalam film industry with the MACTA Federation on Monday alleging that Reliance, Walmart and Tatas have signed up at least three top actors, including Mamooty and Mohanlal, besides 10 reputed film directors, for their coming films.

This will destroy the industry and the directors, including Priyardarshan, Fasil, Siddiq, Joshi, Lal Jose, who broke away from the Malayalam Cine Technicians Association (MACTA) should withdraw from any agreement they have reached with the companies, Federation Treasurer, Baiju Kottarakara, told reporters here.

Re: # 16

That sums up the paki mind set. They have no idea abou the reality of their own country, they never admit poverty which by all accounts is worse than in india, on percentage basis.

The pakis think that their is a great country and that si why there is no attempt to imrove it. The pakis, with their head stuck in the book, cannot see anything outside.
