Re: # 61 Thanks for understanding tahmed32. A few words of appreciation do mean a lot. Atleast some one is on the same wave length.

For all the rest of the crew, especially my barrister bhai jee, i am glad that atleast you have uttered the word Pakistan and mentioned that you have good feelings for your country.

You see, differences can be and should be discussed and are healthy for any society. At the end of the day as long as you disagree with any one's views but are tolerant to listen to and discuss, there is no harm done. The bottom line is that one should be sincere with his country irrespective of race, color, religion or ethnic background.
All the countries have people with different views from extreme hardcore to softcore issues but all of them have one thing in common, which is that they are proud of who they are and patriotism is the top priority.

I love Pakistan and all of my brothers out there. RESPECT n PEACE!!! Keep the good work. I am what i am, whether good or bad but i am a Pakistani and m proud of it.

Some good comments by the following brothers:

tahmed,

God bless u all!!

Lets try and create a place which is capable of embracing people from every color, religion n background. When all the other countries can do it, why can't we?

barrister sahib,

Im glad that atleast i bring smile on your face by hook or by crook which makes you look less violent. Im also glad that your problem seems to be with PML-N which is one of the many political parties that exist in Punjab. However you still havent answered my question regarding your desire for the nation to be broken. And again as i mentioned your not a national party so jut talk about your group, that what whould be your ideal scenario?

1. Call it Kara-harat. or become a province called something like Kara-hashtar, kara-pardesh, kara-arat, sindhudesh or what?

Every one is entitled to their opinion and should be respected for that!

Barrister sahib,

'I personally have lost faith in this federation and wants the nation to break but that would be impractical the option is to rule the nation (directly or indirectly) and that's what we are doing'

Im sure thats what most of the followers of MQM (Ex Mohajir Qarachi Movement) or newly formed MQM (Muteheda Qarachi Movement)want and hence proves all the points. Your party can never and never will be a national or nationalist party because of this pressure group approach. Your not more then the Shiv Seena of Pakistan and just a prssure group making people hostage to your ideologies. Its like agree with me or....

Anways, your alliance with PPP is good for you. I rememeber you had an alliance with the PML-Q in the past which comprises of all the fuedal lords whcih MQM claims to be so much against. Its fair and simple. 'Let me have my share in my dedicated areas and you can do whatever you want'.

Just out of curiosity, the question is that if you want the nation to break, what is your ideal scenario?

a) Join India
b) Have a separate state
c) Go back to India?

Either of these three will satisfy you?

One more question from Mr. Chisti and the likes is:

-Now that you have a Sindhi government heading the country and MQM is a part of it. Do all of you think that this is the way forward in terms of solving your complaints and problems?

-Is the rural and urban Sindh going to be a much developed place then before?

-Is this going to limit the involvement of Punjab in the national politics and if yes, then what positives are we looking at?

-Are all the problems faced by the MQM followers are originated by Punjab and as now Punjab does not have a leading role to play, why are you still not satisfied?

- You have had a Mohajir Gen Musharraf as a president for almost seven years. He wasnt a Punjabi, but what has he done to heal your pain? And if he hasnt then would you still blame Punjab for him not doing whatever you expected from a non Punjabi?

-Is MQM the answer of all of your problems or we are just burying our heads in the sand? I think we need to ask these questions and start addressing the real issues?

-Has MQM given you any option to think or compare their performance with others? I mean do you really have any options apart from MQM?

-What will satisfy the MQM followers? Is there a line or its a never ending situation? When will this party start playing a proactive role on the social and economical issues?

Thanks!

Why do the so called Mohajirs have this tag attached to their names for the last 60 years? Is is just like the word 'nigger', when a stage came that the world wanted to get rid of it but the blacks used it to emotionally blackmail any one who wasn't black. The mentality of being a victim and hence creating a an artifical emtional support is the hallmark of the majority of people who belong to this community. A party whose leader takes pride in being called 'bhai' indicates not only his mindset but the followers of his party. Its not that they are the victims, infact its the other way around and the MQM has hijacked the city of Karachi. They have brainwashed all the so called mohajirs as if they are the untouchables rather then the people making them feel this way. Why is it always they are the ones who have to moan and give the perception of being deprived? They are just like many other communities in the country who have social and political issues. Do you think the people living in the far flong and rural areas of Sindh, Punjab, Balauchistan or NWFP are better then them in term of facilities? This menatality is so very wrong! The people have to come out of using the race card and think like a Pakistani. Fragmentation based on any prejudice can never be stopped. As just like a virus it has the ability to multiply itself. Hatred leads to hatred and if for arguments sake we say that Karachi is to be made a separate country. Do you think the people of this city will start living happily and there wont be any more segmenation based on any sort of religious, ethnic or cultural division. Im sure there can be a hatred for shia-sunni, Mohajirs from Delhi-Mohajirs from else where, Haqiqi-Haq parast etc etc.

The time has come where we have to stop getting into this sort of mentality. The mohajirs have done really good so far and i have loads of friends in the Army, bureaucracy and other prestigious professions in and outside the country from this community. The city itself is a beatiful place with the best infrastructure in the country. Its upto the chosen governments and regional politicians to look after the interest of their area once they are in the governemnt. If Benazir can not develop her own Larkana despite being in power or even Karach as the at end of the day it is in the province of Sindh then its her lack of interest and political will to do so. Contrary to this if Nawaz Sharif develops his constituency when he is a prime minister then it must be appreciated. If you think that the representatives of your constituency don't deliver despite being a part of the ruling party for seven years, then whose fault is it? In punjab if you don't deliver then you don't stand a chance as you must have seen in the case of PML-Q. Whereas the voters of Sindh or Karach only consider one thing while casting a vote!! That is the ethinic back ground of the party. If punjab was racist then there would be no presence of PPP in that province. Infact its easier for any non-punjabi provincial party to win seats in Punjab then the other way around.

Lets start debate about every topic and not have this hatred by default for every person who is a Punjabi.MQM has shown improvements in the last few years but still there is a long way to go for them to win the hearts of people from the rest of the country. Once it stop collecting bhattas and stop using violence im sure they will go very far. I mean, once cant even listen to Altaf bhai's speech seriously for more then five minutes as it is so full of exaggeration, drama and bias.

If it broaden its horizon and starts thinking outside the box, i wil be the first one to join it and im sure so many others will follow. Not every Punjabi is your enemy, just like not every mihajir is biased. Long live Pakistan and all the people of every culture and background!!

This brings to my attention, that i watched a programme on a second rated tv channel (can't remeber the name, one of those AAJ type channels). There was an Adnan Sami look a like gorafied cum desi wannabe hosting the show along with a man who had some rather strange gestures when talking. Mr. Paracha was also one of the participant of this copied prgramme from the BBC. Mr. Paracha has been a big critic of pirated music and stolen ideas all his life. How come you managed to appear in such a pirated talk show. As you are being so critical of all these talk shows. How would you rate that show?

Guess all the maulvis are same. Whatever you do yourself is halal, any one else does it, then it becomes haram!

For the first time in your life, your article seems to make some sense. Its note worthy that the overall feel of the article was much more mature and focused. The objectivity was quite clear and that seems to be a big improvement in your mental approach.

The typical hyper emotional instability was lacking, which indeed is a big positive. Keep it up!!

P.S Looks like nictonie patches are available in Pakistan now!

Oh bhai so called self styled paindu, obsolete hippy, qaidee number 1969/420 from Udiala jail--Mr. Nadim Parcha saab. The attitude of giving a f*** about every thing is quite old fashioned now. So Mr. Hippy, even the word hippy (not cos that you have big hips, so don't think its a compliment) is obsolete from the oxford dictionary. So please take a hair cut, shave for once in your life time (get a new gillette razor and throw away that disposable blue razor that you have kept since 1969, as it is supposed to be disposed after few shaves)and most importantly brush your teeth as i can even smell your bad breath even though i am on a different continent. Please start saying something which makes atleast a little bit sense. One has got a more decent chance of having a rather sensible conversation with Ch. Shujat Hussain then Mr. Sada Parcha. Your thoughts emerge from a deeply rooted inferiority complex which has almost become an obsessive compulsive neurosis. If you don't know what this means then i am sure your quite used to of having a pocket dicionary in your pocket.

Give us a break!, Nirvana, Metallica........All gone with the wind....Why don't u?
