Living Gandhi and King Today: Unbroken Historic Continuity

Ahmed...
What Jinnah had done is good for India. But same can not be said about Gandhi. Most of the present generation Indians will like to thank Jinnah for getting rid of a cancer. Only thing is, if Gandhi and Nehru had shed their ego, it would have been better for India.

Majumder, BJ, Harish....
Gandhi was very cunning fellow -much like today's Mullayams.

Gandhi knew very well that, majority of the Indians are peace loving and if Congress want to invovlve Indian mass, it need to adopt a path, which is acceptable to majority. Gandhi brought Indian mass into the elitist Congress. Gandhi was also aware of the violent nature of Islam. In fragmented Indian society, moslems had enough numerical strength to throw spanner in his movement (Quit India). So, he had to ignore Moplah and Khilafat. The way Mulayam Sing etc. support SIMI. Please remember that, disgusted with Indian call for FREEDOM (though most of the people did not knew the meaning of freedom. Those who knew, like Tagore or Vivekananda opposed the foolish movement), British Govt. had started doling out sops for moslems. Gandhi had no other option than compromise with islamists/terrorists. But anyhow, the consequence was quite dangerous....

Harish...

Pakistanis are Gandhiwadis all the time. Like Gandhi supported Moplah jihadis, they are supporting Kashmiri jihadis.....

Nobody is perfect.
I am nobody.
So, I am perfect... :-)

The source of the trouble is your holy book. Without that nothing would have been possible....CIA etc... had not written verses in Korun....Can you force a jain to fight jihad?- Never....

Majumder....

"It is quite correct on your part to clubbing the VHP-BD with Taliban. If they are not checked we will have a Hindoo Taliban on our hands. Their modus operandi may not be the same, but the end result will be similar...."

Majumder, you are going too far. BD is very strong in Gujrat. Apart from freak vandalism in Vadodara University, there is nothing common...
Neither BD wants to go to other country to fight Jihad type stuff, neither they are closing down girl schools, neither they are encouraging mob justise for petty crimes.... The list is very long...Mind that, BD is the only people who can terrorise islamists and act as deterrent....

#149 #150....
Govt., with limited resource can not control mob frenzy all the times. When you see more than 1 lakh people participating in an incident, how will you tell the police to take stern action against such a huge mob? It is not possible....

DM...

"The Sikh issues with Hindus are the opposite of what you suggest, they resent Hindus not respecting their separate identity...."

Indians (Hindus) don't recognise Jains, Buddhists....as separate identity as well. An outright atheist like Buddha, was taken in Hinduism as avatar of Vishnu or Sakya Muni....
Sir, Indians/Hindus are so large hearted, they generaly try to include everything within their fold...That is why the concept of India is still very much alive...a Madrasi will defend his Sardarji counterpart, though they crack joke about each other in their private parties....

Re: # 151
Kamath...
Cool down my friend. It is not the matter of Bajrangees alone. What these fellows (BD) are doing in Gujrat and Karnataka is very bad. But the incidents in Kandhamal is something different.....Tribal are killing tribals not at the instance of people of Nagpur. It is survival of their culture and getting rid of deception from the Christian Missionaries....Unless and until, Govt. ensures that, the tribals, who are under payroll of Vatican, is not extended Govt. benefits as tribals, the war will intensify....The Govt. has to take some action, which benefits tribals, without loosing their identity....
Sangh, with it's vandalism, is the only organisation, who can threaten islamic militants....

It is not weak or strong Pakistan that matters, it is the de-islaimise (or de-barbarised) Pakistan, that is desirable to both India and US etc...
But can we hope that a country created in the name of Islam and which was housing largest terrorist training centre ( Mosque and Madressah) in it's capital (Red Mosque)....

Re: # 55
Majumder...

I have read in the 4th/5th standard history book that people had found idols, which is precursor to Lord Shiva. Rakhaldas Bannerjee was the first archeologist to discover the IVC and so, it was very much highlighted in WB board school books...

HP....

Indian (Hinduism) atheism do not compose of Vedas etc... alone...The present day gods were almost all non-vedic ( Shiva is pre-vedic. Various Vishnu avatars are tribal/non-aryan gods)....the latest addition is Santoshi Maa (form of Durga) was popularised by movie Jai Santoshi Ma....

They are who are against Indo-US deal, supported China during 1962 war and opposed economic liberalisation and prosperity....

Now, the point is why ISAF is stationed closed to Pakistan border not in Indian border? That should answer, what is petty group fight and what is danger to civilisation....

"at the very least, do acknowledge there was never a genocide under muslim rulers, like the one(s) under the british......"

This is hilarious......and so, Indians are much against moslems rather then Brits....
